Allow your eyes to comfortably close.
Breathe out in a long sigh,
Down the full length of your body,
Allowing it to begin to soften and release what is brought with it here.
In your own time,
Take your awareness down to where your body is making contact with the surface directly beneath it.
Surrender more of your body's weight to the support.
Allow everything to be as it is.
Become aware of the urban flow of your breath.
The sensation as air enters and leaves your nostrils.
The movements your body makes as you breathe.
The expansion of the in-breath.
The release of the out.
There is no need to judge your breath or watch it too closely.
Just allow your breath to slow and lengthen in its own time in a way that feels comfortable for you.
As you do so,
Allow your mind to soften and sit back in your head.
Let the whole of you soften and sit back onto the support beneath you.
Notice the support is steady.
Notice the steadiness is there for you now.
Sit back directly onto the steadiness.
Allow yourself to soften into the steadiness.
Sit back from any sensations or discomfort that may be present.
Let them be there.
Without judging them or trying to change anything.
Let everything be there.
As you say the affirmation,
This too will pass.
In your own time,
Notice your breathing in from the space around you and out into it.
Notice the play of light and shade through your closed eyelids.
Light round your peripheral vision.
Become aware of the touch of the air on your face and body.
Sense out to the horizon spreading all the way round you.
To the distance and beyond.
High to sky above.
Notice the spaciousness.
You can breathe from the farthest horizons if you wish.
Breathe the spaciousness into you.
Sitting back on steadiness.
Breathing with spaciousness.
Say the affirmations silently or out loud.
I am safe.
I am supported.
I am loved.
I am valued.
I am strong.
I am whole.
I believe and trust in myself.
All is well.
All shall be well.
And all manner of things shall be well.
Imagine putting a warm,
Comforting arm around yourself.
Let yourself know that you are doing okay.
You are doing well.
In your own time,
Notice the sensation as air enters and leaves your nostrils.
The movements your body makes as you breathe.
Notice the steadiness there,
Directly beneath you.
Notice your breathing in from the space around you and out into it.
And say the affirmations,
I am on my healing journey.
All as unfolding as it should.
Allow your own words of support to come if they wish.
And when you are ready,
You can draw this meditation to a close.
