Namaste everybody.

Welcome to In the Flow with Lori Albert.

And I just have to say one thing.

I've been there.

I have.

I've been there.

I've been there at those times when you get dejected and depressed when something that you've worked so,

So hard for just does not work out.

Right?

And you feel like the world's against you.

You feel like you can't do anything right.

All of that.

Right?

I've been there.

However,

I've been to the other side as well.

And there are ways to bring yourself up from that sort of dejected state.

There's always ways that we can bring ourselves back up to the,

To that place where we feel like we can do anything.

It's true.

I've been there.

I know we all have.

We all have been in that place.

But guess what?

There are a few things that we can do to,

Like I say,

Bring ourselves back up to that place where,

You know what?

We can do anything.

Do you know that you,

If you put your mind to something,

You can do anything?

You personally.

You've got this.

It's true.

You can do whatever you put your mind to doing.

And you know why?

Because up here,

Because of your brain,

You,

Because if you choose to do it,

You will do it.

Right?

So how do we get out?

How do we get ourselves from that place of like,

Oh my God,

Everything's a failure to I've got this and I can do this.

How do we get from there to there?

Right?

That would be the big question.

Well,

There are many,

Many things that you can do,

But I'm going to go through five today.

So I know that you guys have to know what one of them is.

Of course,

You know,

Meditation,

Of course.

You know what?

And here's the thing.

David G.

Talks a lot about pattern.

Actually,

I've heard Deepak Chopra talk about this too.

A pattern interrupt.

Right?

And that's what you can,

Meditation can be that for you.

A pattern interrupt when you,

Something isn't going right and you're just like,

Oh,

What do I do?

What do I do?

You take 16 seconds and you just flip that switch and you just step back for just a moment and you do the breathe in for four seconds,

Hold it for four seconds,

Breathe out for four seconds and hold it again for four seconds.

That's a pattern interrupt.

And it sort of,

When you see your brain going down that rabbit hole,

It just stops it.

And it's like,

Whoa,

Okay,

Stop.

Right?

So that's one thing you can do.

The next thing is you can get to that place of gratitude.

Starting that,

You know,

Even if you don't have a practice of gratitude,

You can find something to be grateful for in any situation,

Including the worst of situations.

And I mean that.

I know people that have been at literally death's door and they found things to be grateful for in that circumstance.

Maybe they made up with a parent that they hadn't talked to in years or other family member or somebody,

A friend or something.

There are ways,

There are,

There's always,

Always something to be grateful for if you choose to find it.

Right.

I know that's a hard sort of pill to swallow a little bit,

But it's true,

You know?

Okay.

So then another thing is you can write down reminders of how great you are.

Write down a reminder of how great you are on a sticky note and put it on your bathroom mirror.

So the first thing you see when you get up is,

I am going to rock this day or I can do this.

Or my personal favorite,

Which evokes a lot of emotion,

Is I love you.

When was the last time you said I love you to yourself?

Right.

Another thing you can do,

This would be number four,

Go to your computer and Google sayings from your favorite author,

Your favorite guru,

Your favorite spiritual person,

Whatever it is,

Google quotes and maybe write them down.

And you know what I do?

You guys are going to laugh.

I have a saying on my,

It's a reminder on my cell phone and it says,

And I change it up periodically.

Every couple of weeks I'll change it again.

So right now my reminder on my phone is it comes up every day.

Say yes.

Right.

It can be as simple as that.

And then my last thing for today that I do,

That I just,

This is my personal best pattern interrupt.

You guys are going to love this.

I go to a place where I haven't been to before,

Like,

Or I haven't been to in a long time.

There's this sort of,

I guess you could call it a park near my house.

It's not really a park park,

But it's like this place where there's a lot of trees and it's just beautiful.

And just walking down that path,

It puts me,

It takes me out of the zone I'm in and it brings me back to like nature.

You know,

It brings me back.

It just,

If you just change your perspective where you're at for just a few short minutes,

That can totally change it.

My,

You guys know I used to be in the music industry and I was really close to the songwriter,

Right?

And she would be writing a song and she would be like,

Oh,

I can't find the words.

I can't figure it out.

I can't,

Ah,

Just I'm stuck.

Right.

She goes,

Hold on,

I'll be right back.

And I'll be like,

What?

She would go to the bathroom.

I swear to God,

She would go to the bathroom,

Come back and there would be everything.

The song,

Everything that she needed.

You sometimes,

If you just change your,

Your way of thinking,

Just changing that perspective for just a minute.

So today we are going to meditate on this.

Yes we are.

And here's my question to you before we just start.

Do you accept your power?

You've got all the power right in here,

Right in your heart.

You've got it.

Sometimes it's hard to believe that,

But it's true.

It is absolutely true in our heart and in our mind,

It's there.

So let's get ourselves comfortable because today is going to be a great meditation.

Right?

Okay,

So let's get ourselves comfortable.

You can lay down,

You can sit,

You can sit cross-legged,

However,

Whatever is most comfortable for you because that is what's going to keep you coming back.

Is if you're comfortable,

You'll think,

Oh,

Maybe I'll do that again.

So let's get ourselves comfortable and when gently let your eyes float closed.

Very good.

Now let's take a nice deep breath in through your nose.

Let your lungs fill up with air and release.

Fantastic.

Let's do that again.

And I want you to go really slowly this time through your nose and let the air go to every single cell in your body.

Breathe in.

Imagine all that beautiful oxygen going to every cell in your body and release.

It's like cleansing in a breath.

What are you grateful for today?

What is it that you are so appreciative in your life?

It could be anything from that amazing cup of coffee,

As I like to say.

It can be that you've just reacquainted yourself with somebody that you've lost touch with.

It could be,

And this is my personal favorite today,

I got a new mattress pad for my bed and it just has changed my life.

I am truly grateful for that.

What are you grateful for?

And the next question.

Who are you when you are at your best?

When you are being your best self,

Who are you being?

Very good.

So our mantra today is an affirmation.

Our mantra today is,

I accept my power,

I am my own superhero.

I accept my power.

I am my own superhero.

I accept my power.

I am my own superhero.

Now if you fall away from the mantra,

That's absolutely okay.

You can come back to what you remember,

Focus on your breathing.

I will keep the time,

And let's begin.

I accept my power.

I am my own superhero.

I accept my power.

I am my own superhero.

I accept my power.

I am my own superhero.

I accept my power.

I accept my power.

I am my own superhero.

I accept my power.

I accept my power.

I accept my power.

I accept my power.

I accept my power.

I accept my power.

I accept my power.

I accept my power.

I accept my power.

I am my own superhero.

I accept my power.

I am my own superhero.

I accept my power.

I am my own superhero.

Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies and where we're sitting.

Let's take a nice deep breath in and release.

When you feel comfortable,

You can open your eyes.

Very good.

Now,

Go throughout the rest of your day and own it.

Own your superpower and own your power.

Own it because it is yours.

It's in your heart,

And it's in your mind,

And it's in your spirit.

So,

Until next time,

Namaste everybody.

Thank you so much for joining.
