It’s OK to be unsure if the end of something is good or bad. The great thing is that we get to write the end of the story ourselves! Is it the change that we are unsure of or the uncertainty of the future? Either way, the question we must always ask is, "What is for our highest and greatest good?"

Namaste everybody.

Looked in the Flow with Lori Albert.

I'm Lori Albert and my big question today.

Have you ever had a breakup with somebody and then you look back and you weren't sure if it was better,

If it was for the betterment of you.

If you broke up with somebody and then you would think,

Oh was that,

Should I have done that kind of thing?

That's kind of what I want to talk about today because we get to choose.

We get to write our own stories.

And gosh I love that.

Isn't that great?

We get to write our own stories.

I actually did have a sort of breakup with a friend a long time ago now.

This was with a friend,

Right?

You know how girls break up now with each other or whatever.

But I knew that I needed to break up with her and it was hard,

Right?

But it wasn't serving me in my heart.

I was going down this path and she seemed to be going down a different path.

It just wasn't for our highest and greatest good that I remain friends with her.

You know on a day to day basis.

That sort of thing.

Right?

Well she didn't take it well.

And I obviously haven't spoken to her since.

But here's the thing.

Knowing and being in your own heart and understanding what it is that you need emotionally,

Spiritually,

All that stuff.

Sometimes that's hard to recognize.

So yeah,

I came across this quote by Pema Shojone.

Love her,

Right?

You know it's so funny.

There are some people that,

Some gurus for lack of a better way to describe it,

That's been spiritual teachers that you just vibe with.

I totally vibe with David G because David G just talks it like it is and he's like real world.

Love that,

Right?

Because that's kind of who I am.

In case you haven't noticed.

Pema Shojone is another one of those kind of just tells it like it is real world,

Right?

So this is what she wrote and I found this to be so,

Sort of made me feel a little bit better about stuff,

Right?

This is what she said.

Letting there be room for not knowing is the most important thing of all.

When there's a big disappointment,

We don't know if that's the end of the story.

It may just be the beginning of a great adventure.

Life is like that.

We don't know anything.

We call something bad,

We call something good,

But really we just don't know.

Now that leaves a lot,

That's from her,

One of her books.

That's you know,

That leaves a lot open to,

We get to write that story ourselves.

We get to write it ourselves.

So when something is ending,

When something is ending,

It might not be a horrible,

Horrible thing.

It might be what is supposed to be,

You know?

One of the things when I was breaking up with this friend,

One of the things that I said is,

I said I think that,

Because of course I get all philosophical about everything,

I said,

You know,

Sometimes people come in your life for a reason,

But then they go out of your life for a reason.

And again,

We get to write that own story ourselves.

We get to write that and see how that is ourselves.

So the bottom line is,

And this doesn't just mean relationships,

This could mean like anything.

A new job,

Just even a decision about something else that you're doing in your life,

You know,

Whatever.

It doesn't have to be a relationship,

But an ending to something could be such a great adventure.

Like we're getting ready for a great adventure.

I love that.

I'm one of those people that likes change,

I will just say it.

You know,

I actually,

Some people are caught up in their routine of every day and I will be the first to admit,

I actually enjoy routine.

Like I actually enjoy doing this every single day.

But I also love change.

I love the change up.

I love newness,

You know?

Everybody has their own way of being,

Obviously,

Right?

But here's the point.

We get to choose.

Choose how you feel about all of this,

All of this.

So today we are going to meditate on this.

We're going to meditate on change and knowing what's in our hearts,

Following what's in our hearts.

So let's get ourselves comfy.

Oh,

And let's close your eyes whenever you feel most comfortable.

Now today I'm going to do a little bit of something here,

Something different.

I want you all to put your hands on your lap with your palms facing up.

For me what this does is,

It allows,

Because we get and receive a lot of energy through our palms.

So this will help us,

Keeping our palms face up on our laps.

You don't have to do any of the hand mudras.

We're not doing any of that.

I'm trying to keep this for beginners.

But yeah,

Just keep your palms face up with your hands open.

Okay.

Close your eyes.

Let's take a nice deep breath in.

Breathing in the joy of a new day and release.

Let's do that again.

Breathe in through your nose.

Breathing in that newness of a new day,

A new moment,

A new situation.

And breathe out.

Breathe out all the worry and the stress.

So today we are going to meditate on our heart chakra.

And we're going to consider all the newness in our lives.

Being new and allowing us to follow our hearts.

So as we sit in our meditation today,

I want you to imagine the color green,

Which is the color of the heart chakra.

Any shade or variation of green is absolutely fine.

I get asked that.

And our mantra for today is the sound that goes with the heart chakra.

That is YAM,

YAM,

YAM.

So as we're breathing and we're considering the color,

We're seeing if you can behind your eyes,

Behind your closed eyelids,

Just try to see the color green.

And say the mantra YAM.

If you get lost in doing everything I just said,

That's absolutely okay.

You can always go back and gently push those thoughts aside.

Not making yourself wrong because there is no wrong.

Gently push those thoughts aside.

And concentrate on your breath if you lose the mantra.

So I will keep the time.

And let's begin.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

Bringing our awareness back to our room and the chair we're sitting in.

Let's put our palms together and say out loud,

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you to the universe.

Let's take a nice deep breath in and release.

Whenever you feel comfortable,

You can open your eyes.

Fantastic.

So as you go throughout the rest of your day today,

Just know that you get to choose.

You get to choose your ending.

You get to write your own story.

Sometimes endings don't seem like that they're for the best,

But they are.

So I wish you all the best.

And until next time,

Namaste everybody.

Have a beautiful day.
