Good morning everybody.
Welcome to In The Flow.
Let's get meditating.
Beautiful.
So,
How do you,
You personally,
Create happiness in your life?
What does that look like for you?
Is it something you eat?
Chocolate cake?
You know,
Is it something you eat?
Is it a person that you enjoy being around?
Is it an activity that you like to do?
Maybe a pet makes you happy?
Your puppy.
Does your puppy make you happy?
Or is it simply just walking in the park?
Does that make you happy?
Or sitting in meditation?
What is it that creates happiness for you?
So,
There are many answers to that question,
Quite obviously.
One of my favorite ways of creating happiness for myself is the act of giving.
And I don't mean like money necessarily or,
You know,
Anything dramatic.
Okay?
Just simply giving.
Giving of the small things.
It creates this joy,
Or it can create this joy from within.
And guess what?
The receiver,
Or whatever it is you're giving,
Doesn't even have to be aware that you're giving it.
And to me,
That is,
That's just like the icing on the cake.
Because when somebody,
When you give something to somebody and they don't know,
That makes it a pure thing.
You know,
A pure way of giving,
Right?
A pure,
And that creates more happiness to me,
For me anyway,
Personally.
Right?
So,
My thought is that today,
We are going to dedicate our meditation.
But it's not just going to be simply picking somebody and giving,
You know,
And dedicating our meditation,
Right?
Oh no.
I don't do things that simply,
Do I?
Follow me on this.
Okay?
So,
Now,
First of all,
Think of someone that you love,
That you absolutely love,
And that you get along with really well,
And that is,
You know,
It could be your significant other,
Your child,
Just a really close friend,
Somebody that you love.
Okay?
Now,
Think of that person,
Their name,
What they look like,
Interactions you've had with them.
Okay?
That makes you smile,
Doesn't it?
That makes me smile when I think about that person.
Right?
Okay,
So next,
Let's think of somebody that you have a grievance with.
Now,
That's not as easy,
Right?
So,
Think of somebody that you have a beef with.
Like,
What is,
You know,
Somebody that's,
You know,
That you've got kind of an outstanding something going on with,
Right?
So,
Picture that person,
What the situation was,
How it made you feel,
And finally,
How would it feel to be on the other side of that grievance?
How would it feel to be on the other side of that and be past it?
You don't have to be on the other side of it.
I'm just saying,
How would it feel to be,
Would it feel relief?
Would you feel relief?
Okay,
And thirdly and lastly,
I want you to think of an acquaintance,
Somebody that you don't know that well,
You don't even have to know their name.
It could be the coffee lady at Starbucks.
It could be somebody at the grocery store,
One of the checkers at the grocery store.
It could be a gardener that you see walking down,
As you're walking down the street.
So,
Picture that person,
Their face.
So,
It's interesting because these three examples,
I guess you could say,
These three people in your life represent your life,
Don't you think?
Very interesting,
Right?
So,
Let's close our eyes,
Okay?
Get ourselves comfortable.
We're not going to think about these people the entire meditation,
But as you have these three people in your head,
Let's close your eyes,
Get yourself comfortable.
And we are going to dedicate our meditation to these three people.
The person you love,
The person you have a grievance with,
And the acquaintance.
Between these three unsuspecting people,
We get to send our beautiful meditation energy to.
So,
To further this along,
Just before we sit in our silence,
And before I give you the mantra for today,
Let's think of three things that we are absolutely grateful for.
What are three things that you are so grateful that you have,
That you are in your life?
Beautiful,
Very good.
Now,
Our mantra today is Ananda Hum,
Which is happiness or bliss is my true nature.
Happiness is my true nature.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
So,
As we sit in our silence and stillness,
Let's consider that happiness,
Bliss is our true nature.
Setting aside the anxiety and stress of the day,
That will always be there.
But for right now,
For these few short minutes that we get to meditate together,
Happiness is our true nature.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum.
Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies in the room that we're sitting in.
Let's take a deep,
Deep breath in and release.
Beautiful.
Whenever you feel comfortable,
You can open your eyes.
How awesome that we just dedicated our meditation.
We sent good vibes,
Good juju to those three people.
Doesn't that feel good to do that?
I feel like I'm guilting you all into it.
But you know,
There's something to be said about giving.
The act of truly giving.
So thank you for joining me today.
I love you all so much.
And I really appreciate you guys being taking this journey with me.
So stay in bliss today everybody.
And have a beautiful,
Beautiful day.
Namaste everybody.
