Freedom.

What it truly is to be free.

To feel free.

To know that you're free.

To do whatever you want.

To feel however you want.

To not be bound by someone else's protocols,

Time constraints,

Realities of you.

But what is freedom?

What is freedom and where does it come from for us?

For us to be truly free,

We first have to liberate ourselves from the manifestations of the past.

From what many call tradition,

What we consider the traditions of our life,

Of our heritage.

To throw open the doors and reveal the skeletons and release those crystallized views of the ancestors of our past that have taken hold and manifested within our genes and our DNA.

Because our genes are threads of reality formed by the power of our ancestors' thoughts and feelings.

And I'm thankful for that.

Thank you.

Thank you generations past for all that you strive for,

For all that you hope for,

For all that you dream for because your striving,

Your thoughts,

Your manifestations made me what I am today.

And I want to make the most of that.

I want to make the most of the brighter world,

The more hopeful tomorrow that you saw.

Because I know that through you it brought me to where I am now.

That I held in me at the moment of my birth the vibration of all of the generations before me.

And I want to honor that.

I also know that it is my job,

My duty,

But also my honor to expand on those hopes and dreams and possibilities and manifestations.

To expand them not only for myself but for the next generations of me.

And I want to expand my freedom.

I want to expand my vibration with more joy,

More beauty,

More laughter for the sheer radiance of it.

Yeah,

That's what I want.

I want to know the freedom of happiness.

Because you can't.

You can't.

Can you really have freedom without happiness?

And if freedom isn't giving you happiness,

Then what is it giving you?

I don't want to feel freedom if I'm alone.

I don't want to feel freedom if the laziness of boredom creeps into me.

I want to embrace my freedom,

Embrace the natural flow of life that is flowing through me and around me and in me,

To me,

All the way to Source and echoing back in all of my DNA as it is spread throughout the universe and connects me with the larger lineage that subboards me in ways that I don't often recognize.

So this is what I want.

This is the natural flow of life for me as I flow into my own freedom.

I don't want to allow myself to be a statue,

To be stuck with what I was given,

To only play the card I was dealt.

I know that through my choices,

Through the way I play my hand,

I can create any hand that I want,

Make plays as they suit me.

So I don't want to reenact past experiences to become a victim or to let my scars define me,

But rather to honor them and the feelings that they evoked,

The struggle that they evoked,

To honor that struggle as a pathway to move further into the freedom that is mine,

That is my birthright to expand and explore.

You know,

And I am thankful for the blueprint of my DNA,

And I want to be conscious about continuing to redesign that DNA on a daily basis for the pathway of freedom,

Spiritual freedom,

Physical freedom,

Emotional freedom,

The freedom of self,

The freedom of spirit.

And each day,

Think of my freedom as a starting place,

Of where I've just arrived,

Not where I'm going,

Because where I'm going is yet to be decided.

It is the journey that we walk on,

On our path to freedom.

Yes,

We can stop and rest and reflect and contemplate all of our past choices and future choices and directions to step.

And in these moments,

We need to know for certain that our genes do not decide anything for us.

They are simply the starting point,

And we must decide.

We must choose which way to go.

There are many beckoning paths.

Which one will liberate us in the way that we want to be liberated,

In the way that we want to become who we know we are?

We are powerful.

Sometimes we need to rock our own boat and rock it like we're on that southbound train,

To move on and get going,

Stepping into that infinity loop that takes us to places we don't know.

We don't know where the end is,

Because the end keeps going.

There is no end in sight,

And that is the ultimate freedom.

Wow.

Thinking about that,

Thinking about that there's no end in sight,

How does that make your choices different today?

So often we say,

Or we hear,

Not say,

I've never said it,

But we hear,

You know,

What would you do if you were going to die tomorrow?

And yeah,

That calls on our heartstrings to share more fully,

To love more deeply,

To express more honestly,

In that moment,

And that is so needed.

That is so needed to get a move on to what we need to do,

To how we need to live.

But think about the freedom of affinity.

If we knew that we could have this infinitesimal freedom,

How would we set ourselves up to experience that?

Where else would we go?

What else would we try?

If it's limitless for us,

If we're limitless in it,

I know it's holding us back,

Holding me back.

Stress,

Love.

The now,

Obligations of the now.

Stress if it doesn't work.

But we have to let go of that.

We have to let go of our own stress and we cannot take on other people's stress.

The media is really good about pounding that into us.

Work is really good about pounding that into us.

At times,

Our loved ones and family can be really good about pounding that into us.

But we have to breathe it out now because our journey is enlightened.

Yes,

Our journey is enlightened even if we are the only one who can see that.

We are the only one who can embrace that as we ride triumphantly through our life,

Through the forest,

Inviting all of the other magical creatures around us to come on this journey with us,

With the song of their soul,

The music of their heart pouring happiness into us,

With the round of the bend of each tree,

With the reflection of the sun on our face drawing us in deeper to the freedom of the moment.

Awakening all of our senses to the beauty that surrounds,

To the magnificence that surrounds,

To the world of reality,

Imagination,

Play that we can step into at any moment,

To worlds unknown that we can step into at any moment,

To the waterfall that we can run up,

To the river that we can fly down into.

This is true freedom,

Freedom of the mind,

Freedom of the heart.

Step into this true freedom.

We have to tap into the sensitivity of the energies and emotions of right now.

Are we activating our DNA?

Are we liberating our genes?

Are we closing them in?

Tightening them up?

Are we honoring what we want in our heart and expressing it,

Asking for it,

Sharing it,

Making it known to the universe so the universe can welcome us on our infinity loop of freedom and honor ourselves and our feelings and our emotions and return back at us.

For us to truly experience the grace of freedom,

We must share our gifts,

Our gifts of grace and the grace of our gifts.

Share them freely,

Openly,

Creating waves of inspiration and love as we give them to others and in return they're coming back to us.

Oh,

That's true freedom.

And when we can give of ourselves openly,

Honestly,

Unabashedly,

Without guile,

Without sensor,

Without filter,

That's the bliss of freedom.

And that bliss has an encore because every time that happens,

The universe gives it right back to us through a smile,

Through a kiss,

Through bonuses and surprises that we never imagined that bring us those moments of happiness.

And yes,

Freedom.

Freedom is just not given.

Freedom is made.

Freedom is created through what you offer and how you position your mind to receive the grace,

To act in grace.

And freedom is also strength.

Freedom is also power.

For us to use our power,

For us to acknowledge our strength and use it for the good of the collective,

Not to satisfy the ego.

Freedom is about exploring the entire spectrum of happiness and anger.

And if we can't tap into and honor our anger,

It will fester and ruin all future happiness.

So at moments when we are moved to anger,

Just give a voice to it.

Give a voice to it that honors you,

That honors your ancestors and honors the person that you're giving it to.

Anger doesn't mean disrespect nor does it mean demeaning.

It means honoring the feeling that was evoked in you.

This is freedom as well.

And through honoring this entire spectrum of emotions,

This is where the freedom of happiness starts to grow.

Freedom is also in reflection.

Moving forward,

Yes.

Reflecting on where we want to go and how we want to evolve and what we want the life to be filled with now and what we want to build as we continue to walk the steps of freedom.

It is also reflecting inward to all that we feel.

And it is also reflecting on the moments of our past,

The contributions of hurt,

Pain,

Shame that we've added to the collective gene pool of our ancestry.

What have we carried with us long enough?

What is no longer serving us from what we've contributed or what they contributed?

Let's let that pain go now.

Release it.

Keep the learning.

Keep the growth.

Release the blocks.

For if we don't take time to reflect,

We don't take time to release.

And that's what you're doing right now.

This moment of reflection.

Thank you for seeking growth through release,

For seeking growth through freeing your body of trauma,

Of turmoil,

Of hesitancy,

Of denial.

For once we've known those and once we've experienced those and let them go,

Survived them,

Overcome them,

Acknowledged them for what they were,

That they didn't keep us down,

That our drive for freedom is so much bigger than them,

It makes their freedom feel all that more blessed.

It's not complicated.

It just takes truth.

It just takes honesty.

Being honest to ourselves,

About ourselves,

Is easy.

That's the easiest step.

Being honest about ourselves to others,

That's harder.

And often we take the least complicated path.

And that path is just fine.

It won't lead us,

Though,

To the path of emotional freedom,

Of emancipation that we are looking for in our hearts and our souls.

We know that there is a deeper reason for each of us on our path to freedom,

That we're seeking.

The answers to all the questions that we're seeking are different.

What's important here is that we're asking the questions.

Are we asking questions?

Or are we seeking aimlessness for what may randomly come into our path?

What do we want to know?

What do we consciously want to know?

What do we unconsciously want to know?

What are we incompetent at that we want to become better at on this path of freedom?

What is holding us back?

What is propelling us forward?

It's these questions that we can give to ourselves.

These are the greatest gifts that we can give to our heart,

Just to make it fun to be us.

And if it isn't fun being us and the pursuit of these questions and the pursuit of this knowledge of us,

Pursuit of this growth and unfolding of us,

Then what is happiness?

Happiness is in fleeting moments of laughter.

That's a component of it.

Happiness is laughter that can arise so deep and spontaneously,

Uncoiling within you that you can't stop it.

Because there's so much freedom of thought,

Expression,

Love,

Honesty around you,

That it's the only response your body knows how to release.

Oh,

Man,

I love those moments.

And I don't want to criticize any of the other moments because they give me so much guidance and intention and help and love.

Freedom has so many feelings.

There's not just one.

And what I love about the process of becoming free,

Freeing myself and living free is that the act is never complete,

That I am complete and whole in each moment.

But my act of growth,

My act of expanding is never complete.

And just when I thought I was whole,

Just when I thought I was taking a holistic view through the act of freedom,

I become more whole,

More complete.

And my ever-expanding version of me and my ever-expanding development of my genes and DNA for me to harvest now and for generations to springboard forth from the future.

My hands want to reach out with the fire that burns within them to explore more beyond what I can touch,

Beyond what I can see,

Beyond what I can know in a tangible way to a freedom that only my cells know,

To a freedom that my body responds to with,

Yes,

I remember you,

Old friend.

Let's continue again without ever knowing their name or where I'm at or what universe I'm in.

To skip from star to star,

To galaxy to galaxy,

Showering in the glow of the particles as they dust my skin,

Glazing me forevermore in their radiance,

In their power,

In their majesty to allow me to take flight with the grace of the dove.

With the power of the wave,

With the beauty of the flower,

With the peace of the Buddha,

With the unfolding of the lotus,

All of these gifts I take with me on my journey to freedom.

And it is not a race.

I want to take in all of the sights,

All of the lessons,

And this uncoiling of me.

Whether I am sliding,

Walking,

Flying,

Fluttering,

May it be slow and steady,

An evolution where I can connect the dots,

Where I can take the leaps,

A puzzle in which I can play every day with the freedom that is mine.
