Self doubt is incredibly common amongst entrepreneurs and business owners.
You are not alone.
What is most important when it comes to self doubt is that we acknowledge it,
We thank it and explore the deeper meaning,
Gaining insights from this messenger.
For that is all that self doubt is,
It is a messenger.
When it arises,
Its purpose is to alert you,
To bring your attention to the fact that you have moved away from a state of flow,
A state of grace,
Inspiration and inspired action.
Self doubt can appear when we create and launch something out into the world,
When our marketing efforts do not yield results that we desire,
When we compare ourselves to others.
Self doubt shows up in a variety of ways when we run our own businesses and it is important that we remember that self doubt is a messenger.
Take another deep breath in,
Breathe in through your nose,
Fill your chest and belly,
Hold at the top of the inhale for a few moments and then let your breath go out through the mouth with a nice big audible sigh,
Letting it all go.
Breathing in again when you are ready,
Drawing in that breath through your nose,
Fill your chest and belly,
Hold at the top and then let that breath go out through the mouth with a sigh.
Breathing in again when you are ready,
Drawing in that breath in through your nose,
Fill your chest and belly,
Hold at the top of the inhale and when you are ready to exhale,
Let that breath go out through the mouth with a sigh.
Simply allow your breath to find its own natural and comfortable rhythm now,
Perhaps lengthening your breath,
Perhaps breathing more deeply than you do as you go about your day,
Making a conscious effort to breathe in with intention and breathe out with intention.
We're going to take a moment now to explore the message of our self doubt.
I'm going to ask a series of questions for you to simply reflect upon.
I will give you some time after each question to find your answer.
Firstly,
What does this self doubt prevent you from doing?
Who do you become when self doubt is in the driver's seat?
When you do not clear your self doubt,
What is the impact on your business?
If you allow self doubt to take over,
How does that impact those around you?
What is the quality of your energy when you are sitting in a space of self doubt?
And lastly,
If given the choice,
Would you move through the self doubt and out the other side?
And is of course my great hope that the answer to that last question is a whole hearted yes.
Even if you do not know how to move through self doubt,
A willingness is all you need.
Take a moment to recognise and acknowledge your self doubt.
And notice how intense it feels.
Perhaps rating it on a scale of 1 to 10,
With 10 being the most intense.
Breathe in through your nose and let it go out through your mouth.
And when you feel ready to transmute this self doubt,
Place your hand over your heart,
Resting it gently.
And as you do,
You bring to mind something you are deeply grateful for.
It may be a hot cuppa,
The sun on your back on a cold day,
Perhaps your fur babies or loved ones,
Soaking in a hot bath,
Your favourite meal.
It doesn't matter what you choose,
What matters is that you are deeply grateful for it and that by placing your focus and attention upon it,
You are able to conjure up feelings of gratitude.
So go ahead and do that now.
Whatever you are grateful for,
Bring it front and centre of your focus and start to use it as inspiration.
Allow it to evoke those feelings of gratitude within you.
Allow them to grow and expand,
Moving through you.
Filling every cell with gratitude.
Every fibre of your being moving into this state of gratitude.
Letting it grow,
Expand,
Move through you until you feel that every inch of your being is drenched in gratitude.
We are going to take some time together in silence now,
To hand ourselves over fully to this feeling state of gratitude with our whole being.
Now will call us back when it is time.

Your eyes still closed and your hand still resting gently over your heart.
Take a moment to check in with that self doubt that you rated out of 10 earlier.
It is my great hope that that number has gone down.
Ideally you will repeat this practice until your score is a 2 or below.
You simply go back into that space of gratitude and hold that focus for a couple of minutes.
And when you are complete,
Take a deep breath in.
Let it go out through the mouth.
Return your hand to your lap.
Bring some gentle movement back into your body.
And when you are ready and not a moment sooner,
Blink open your eyes.
