
We Forget To Relax

We forget all too often that the very first place to begin to enter into any form of meditation or creative visualisation – or mindfulness – is simply learning to relax. What does that feel like? What does that mean? Listening and learning to work through the body to slowly and gently fall within oneself is where we begin.

Today's journey is into relaxation.
There's many many different ways to meditate.
Many ways we can learn to find time to go within our own heart and soul.
We first must learn how to allow ourselves to relax.
How to draw ourselves out of the body.
The body so relaxed and released it allows us to feel into our breath,
Into our feeling,
Into our soul.
So this time I want you to lay yourself to lay on the floor.
Find enough space where you can lay comfortably on the floor.
Give yourself a moment to jiggle,
To find a pillow if you think you'll need one.
If you have lower back issues you may like a pillow underneath your knees to just raise them up slightly.
Lay down and allow yourself to feel the rear of the body against the ground from the heels running up through the back of the legs across the hips running up through the spine down the arms to the fingertips.
The head slightly tilted forward so that your head can place evenly onto the ground.
Lay yourself a moment to get comfortable.
Take a nice deep breath in and allow a long breath out to release to move the body and settle.
Right now as you're laying you can feel your body and you can feel the day within your body.
And as you feel the day within your body you can feel tightness,
You can feel the weight,
You may feel the stress or the anxiety that the day has brought you.
Taking a nice deep breath in and allowing a long breath out.
Sigh,
Clear the heart and relax to begin.
There's no control over your breathing,
Your feeling breath and feeling the chest rise and fall.
Taking a nice deep breath in filling the whole body with breath and allowing a long breath out,
Releasing yourself right through the floor.
And in your next breath in we're breathing to the feet.
And we're filling the feet with breath.
Every breath moves to the feet.
You can feel that breath.
Feel it through the toes,
Through the soles of the feet.
You feel the feet with breath,
You feel into the feet and you can feel every step you've taken.
Every breath you're aware of the steps you have taken to where you are right now.
Your feet ache with all the walking that you have done to move forward in your life.
You breathe every breath to the feet and allow them to feel and now every release of breath asks you to release the steps you've taken.
Each breath,
Each step one at a time.
Releasing the feet,
Softening the toes,
The sole of the feet,
The heel pressing down deeper into the ground.
Breathing in to feel,
To connect,
Breathing out to release.
And we breathe it in,
A long deep breath.
We release with a long sigh of breath and the past has gone and we move on.
And we breathe into our legs.
From our ankles to the top of our thigh we breathe a long breath to fill the legs with breath.
Each breath filling into the muscles,
The bones,
The blood,
The cells,
Allowing our legs to fill with breath.
And as we fill the legs with breath we feel them.
We feel the legs that have carried us to this moment.
We feel the weight and the burden that they have carried to bring us to now.
They are tired,
They are weary and every release of breath releases the legs.
And we breathe in and fill and we feel and we connect and with every release we allow the weights and the burdens to be released with the breath and our legs soften and they fall deeper to the ground.
And we take a nice deep breath in and in our long breath out we release all the burden and the past has moved on and the burdens have laid down and we move on.
And we breathe to our hips and our pelvis.
And as we breathe to the hips and the pelvis we open.
Our lower back loosens,
Our pelvis opens,
Our legs turn out and we fill the pelvis with breath.
Our hips soften and as we breathe to fill the hips we feel into the hips.
We feel into the breath.
We feel into the space of creation where life begins.
We feel into the organs through our hips.
We allow this breath to flow through spiraling through the organs through the hips.
And with every release of breath we release the blockages.
We release anything that stops us from believing the creation from the passion of the creation and the desire of the creation.
We allow it all to move and pure life creation to draw in with every breath.
And a nice deep breath in to feel and a long breath out to soften.
And as we breathe in we feel we connect.
We allow ourselves to open to life and we breathe out to release.
And the past is behind us and we've laid our burdens down.
We are open now to life and we move on and we breathe to our stomach.
And take a nice deep breath in filling the stomach like a giant balloon.
Pushing out against the walls of the stomach to feel the breath.
We breathe in and fill the body through the stomach with breath.
And we feel into the stomach.
And as we breathe in and fill the stomach we feel into the emotions that have been stored there.
And as we feel into the emotions with every breath we allow them to release.
We release the anger.
We release the frustration,
The resentment,
The shame,
The guilt that see deeply within our stomach.
We breathe to feel,
To feel and to release these emotions.
With every breath feeling,
With every release of breath allowing ourselves to clear these emotions.
Allow the stomach to withdraw,
To fold down towards the spine,
To release.
Breathing it in,
Filling the stomach,
Feeling a connection and releasing all emotion.
We take a nice deep breath in and in a long breath out we release the stomach right down through the spine.
Surrendering to the spine to the energy for the past has gone.
The burdens have been laid down.
We are open to life.
We release old emotion and move on now to our spine.
And we breathe the length of our spine.
From the base of the spine all the way to the tip of the spine at the medulla we breathe the full length.
A nice long breath,
A strong breath drawing that energy through the spine.
Feeling into the energy and with every release of breath allowing breath to be given,
Allowing energy to release.
Breathing and drawing the breath circling the spine,
Entwining the spine.
Clearing the way for the energy to move all the way through.
With every release allowing that breath to be gone.
Energy to move through and cleanse and clear.
And breathing it in a nice deep breath through the spine.
And a long release and as we release we sink down deeper into our hips,
Into our creation of life and give all our energy through.
Knowing the past has gone.
The burdens laid down.
We are open to life.
Released of emotion.
Clear through our energy.
And so we move on to the chest.
And we breathe into the chest and allow it to gently open.
Filling the chest with our breath.
Feeling it expand,
Feeling it rise as it fills with breath.
And as it softens and opens the chest allows our ribs to expand and open.
And the fullness of that breath allows our diaphragm and lungs to expand beyond before.
And release folds back towards our spine.
And we breathe to fill and open.
And we release and fold back to our spine.
And as we breathe in and fill with breath we feel.
We feel into the chest and all the emotion that we hold there.
We feel the anxiety,
The jealousy,
The envy,
The pride.
We feel our fear.
And every breath opens the chest,
The ribs,
Expanding the diaphragm and the lungs.
Releasing the emotions,
The fear.
And we breathe again and feel and release.
And we take a nice deep breath in and it's a long breath out to release the emotion.
To allow us to fold deep down through the spine.
And we know our past is behind us and we've laid our burdens down.
We are open to life and we are free from all the emotion through the stomach and our chest.
And our spine is cleansed and clear.
And our shoulders soften and our arms release and the fingers loosen.
And we breathe to our throat.
And as we breathe to fill our throat with breath it opens across the neck.
We swallow gently to clear it.
As we fill the throat we allow it to open.
We feel into the tension,
The tightness of it holding.
Thoughts,
Emotion,
Feelings.
Not wanting to be released.
But we fill the throat with breath and we feel and we feel deep within the gut,
Within the soul,
Within the heart.
The energy drawing to our throat and we breathe out to release.
A long release.
Many breaths to release to allow the throat to soften,
To hold no more.
And we breathe in and fill.
We feel that throat and as we breathe out we release even with sound.
We breathe in again and a long deep release for the throat to clear,
To soften.
The steps of our past behind us,
Our burdens have laid down.
We are open to life.
All emotion has cleared.
The energy smoothly circling through our body.
Our voice is soft.
We soften our face.
We take the tongue away from the roof of our mouth and we breathe now to the mind.
And we fill the mind with breath.
Breathing,
Allowing the breath to fill the brain,
To fill the mind,
To feel that breath out pressing against the skull.
The mind is full of breath.
And as the mind fills with breath and we feel into all the thoughts circling through our mind.
We allow the thoughts to fold into the breath.
We pay no attention to the thoughts and allow with every breath the thoughts to release.
Deep breath into the mind,
Filling the mind with breath.
A long release of breath,
Releasing thoughts.
And a nice long deep breath in and a final breath out.
Long release of thoughts.
And breath now moves to the feet.
And you breathe from the feet all the way up through the body.
The steps of the past have gone.
The burdens laid down.
We are open to life.
Emotions are released.
We are clear and clean with our breath,
With our energy.
Our voice is soft.
Our mind is clear.
The body relaxes.
We breathe ever so gently,
Slowly through the body.
Finally your breath focuses on your heart.
And you fill the heart with breath.
You feel into your heart.
And the heart knows only love.
The fullness of love,
The loss of love.
With every release of breath,
Allowing sadness,
Grief or loss to breathe away.
Feeling only the love left in the heart.
Your past is behind you.
The burdens have been laid down.
You are open to life.
You are released from all emotion.
The energy runs clear through your spine.
Your voice is soft and clear.
There are no thoughts.
And you are left to feel the heart full of love.
And your body releases.
You breathe in.
And you breathe out.
You leave your body to feel only the breath.
Feeling the breath.
Body is relaxed.
The body is released.
And there is only breath.
