In a world that constantly asks us to move, improve, and push forward, this meditation is an invitation to rest. When Stillness Is Enough gently reassures your body and nervous system that slowing down is not a problem to solve, but a natural and necessary state. Settle in, breathe, and allow yourself to simply be, without pressure, urgency, or expectation.

Hello,

I'm Diana and I want to welcome you to this meditation.

When stillness is enough,

Let's begin.

Make yourself comfortable.

Allow your body to be supported by the chair,

The floor or the bed beneath you.

If it feels right,

Gently close your eyes.

Take a slow breath in through your nose and an easy breath out through your mouth.

Let your breath settle into a pace that feels natural and unhurried.

As if your body is quietly sighing in relief,

Finally allowed to slow.

There's nothing you need to achieve in this moment,

Nothing to work on.

Nothing to figure out.

Simply being here is enough.

Bring your awareness down into your body.

Notice where you feel warmth,

Where you feel heaviness,

Where you feel held.

Biologically,

Your body is designed for rhythms,

For times of movement and times of rest.

Stillness is not a pause between moments.

Stillness is a real and necessary state.

With each breath out,

Allow yourself to soften a little bit more.

Let the muscles in your face relax.

Let your jaw unclench and let your shoulders drop.

Now imagine yourself resting somewhere safe and quiet.

It might be indoors,

Sheltered from the elements.

There is no urgency here.

There's no demand to become anything other than what you are right now.

Your nervous system responds to safety,

Not pressure.

And in stillness,

Safety has a space to return.

Bring your attention to your belly,

The centre of digestion,

Intuition and restoration.

As you breathe,

Imagine a gentle warmth gathering there,

Not activating,

Simply sustaining.

In this space,

Nothing is being pushed,

Nothing is being rushed.

Even when nothing appears to be happening,

Your body is doing important work.

Repair.

Integration.

Quiet recalibration.

Like roots resting deep in the earth,

Unseen and undisturbed.

Strength is being gathered below the surface.

You don't need to see progress for it to be real.

You don't need to feel motivated for your body to be wise.

Allow yourself to rest in the truth that stillness has value,

That waiting has purpose,

That doing nothing sometimes is the most appropriate response.

If thoughts arise,

Ideas of what you should be doing or where you should be,

Gently acknowledge them and let them pass,

Like clouds drifting across a winter sky.

You might quietly say to yourself,

Right now stillness is enough,

My body knows what it needs,

I am allowed to rest.

Let these words settle,

Not as instructions,

But as permission.

Stay here for a few breaths.

Support it.

And when you feel ready,

Begin to bring awareness back to your body.

Feel the surface beneath you,

Notice the gentle rhythm of your breath.

Carry this sense of permission with you,

Into the rest of your day or into your sleep.

When stillness is enough,

Nothing more is required.

And when it feels right for you,

You can gently open your eyes.

Thank you for joining me today.

Till next time.
