Hello,

I want to welcome you to this meditation letting the heart speak.

This is your time,

A safe space where you can listen inwardly with compassion and without judgment.

As you move this practice remember you are always in control.

If at any moment you feel uncomfortable you can pause,

Return to your breath or gently open your eyes.

Now let's get started.

Sit or lie down in a comfortable position.

When you choose to lie down ideally do this in a place where you do not normally sleep so that it's easier to stay awake for the duration of this meditation.

Allow your body to soften without pressure,

To relax,

To simply let go of what you can let go of.

Now take a slow deep breath in through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth and again breathing in.

Notice your feet resting on the floor or feel the surface beneath you.

Imagine gentle roots extending from your feet,

Anchoring you into the earth,

Steady and strong.

Here you are supported,

Here you are safe.

Bring your awareness to the centre of your chest.

When it feels good and comforting you can place a hand over your heart.

Notice the rhythm of your heart,

The steady beat of life.

Your heart has carried you through so much.

Without asking it has been there holding your story,

Holding your joys,

Holding your grief and holding your courage.

Take another deep breath in and feel how your chest expands beneath your hand and exhale and relax into the space that you're in.

And now imagine your heart as a gentle light,

Soft,

Glowing and warm.

This light is your truth,

Your inner voice,

Patiently waiting to be heard.

Silently ask your heart,

What do you need me to know right now?

Listen,

Not with your mind,

But with your whole being.

Perhaps words arise,

Perhaps only feelings,

Colours or sensations.

There is no right or wrong.

Simply allow whatever comes,

To come.

If your heart carries heaviness,

Sadness,

Anger,

Longing or unspoken words,

Imagine that with every exhale a little of that weight flows outward.

You might see it leaving as smoke or as mist or maybe as dark water.

Whatever image feels the most natural to you.

And with every inhale your heart draws in fresh air,

Gentle light,

Renewal.

Breathing out what no longer needs to be breathed in,

What brings comfort and strength.

Whisper softly to yourself,

Either aloud or within,

The following affirmations.

I hear you,

My heart.

Your voice matters.

I honour all that you behold.

I hear you,

My heart.

Your voice matters.

I honour all that you hold.

I hear you,

My heart.

Your voice matters.

I honour all that you hold.

I hear you,

My heart.

Your voice matters.

I honour all that you hold.

I hear you,

My heart.

Your voice matters.

I honour all that you hold.

Notice how your body feels when you give yourself this kindness.

Begin to return slowly,

Bringing awareness to your body once more.

Feel the ground beneath you,

Supporting you.

Take one more deep and nourishing breath in and breathe out through your mouth and let everything go.

Start to move your hands a little and wiggle your toes a little and become more and more present.

When you're ready,

You can gently open your eyes.

Carry with you the knowing that your heart's voice is always there,

Waiting to guide you.

When you feel that it could be useful for you,

Please feel free to journal about the experience that this meditation gave you.

Thank you for joining me today.

Until next time.
