Hello,
I want to welcome you to this meditation.
Fatigue is not a failure.
Let's get started.
Settle yourself into a position that feels kind to your body today.
You don't need perfect posture.
You don't need to hold yourself up.
When you're comfortable,
I invite you to please gently close your eyes.
Or,
If that feels better,
Lower your gaze.
Take a slow breath in through your nose,
And let it out through your mouth,
Like a soft sigh.
Let your breath be natural,
Not deep,
Not controlled,
Just honest.
Notice how tired your body feels.
Not with judgment,
Just with curiosity.
Fatigue is not a moral issue.
It is not a flaw.
It is not something that you have done wrong.
It is information.
Bring your awareness to the places in your body that feel the heaviest.
Your eyes,
Your shoulders,
Your limbs,
And your belly.
There's no need to push energy into these places.
There's no need to motivate them.
Simply acknowledge them.
Biologically,
Fatigue is often the body asking for protection,
For repair,
For a pause from constant demand.
It can come from long winters,
From emotional load,
From hormonal shifts,
From carrying too much for too long.
Your body is not failing you.
It is communicating with you.
As you breathe out,
Allow your body to stop pretending it's fine.
You are allowed to be tired here.
Imagine setting down a heavy bag you've been carrying,
Perhaps without even noticing how heavy it was.
Feel the relief of not holding it for a moment.
Let your muscles soften,
As if they no longer have to brace.
Fatigue often arrives when rest has been postponed too many times.
Not because you are weak,
But because you are capable.
And capable people are often the last to give themselves permission to stop.
Bring one hand to your chest or your belly if that feels supportive.
Feel the warmth of your own presence.
Notice how your body responds to being met with understanding instead of criticism.
If there is a voice inside that says I should be able to do more,
Gently acknowledge it.
That voice learned its job a long time ago.
You don't need to silence it.
Just let it rest as well.
Quietly you might say to yourself,
My tiredness makes sense.
I don't need to justify my need for rest.
Fatigue is not a failure.
Let these words land slowly.
There is no finish line to reach.
No version of you that needs to be earned.
Even in stillness,
Your body is working.
Integrating,
Protecting what matters.
Stay here for a few breaths and let yourself be held in this permission.
And when you're ready,
Gently begin to bring awareness back to your body.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Notice your breath as it is.
Carry this knowing with you,
Not as a task,
But as a kindness.
Move your fingers a little.
Wiggle your toes a bit.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
You didn't fall short.
Thank you for joining me today.
See you next time.
Bye.
