Mindfulness practices designed to enrich your life.
This is the Being Present practice with David Mercado.
Day 18,
The Heart Connection.
Are you living,
Working and taking decisions from your heart or from your mind?
Do you have doubts,
Questions and unsettling feelings?
Listening to our heads might not be always the best option to make decisions in our lives.
Facts and figures are important as the informed decisions will make it clear where we could go.
However,
We could have a hunch or a feeling that might tell us that even if the facts are positive we should be taking a different decision.
Our hearts in a coherent state have an impact on health,
Happiness and longevity.
Coherence is the state of being highly ordered,
Organized and efficient.
In a coherent system,
All the individual parts are operating in harmony and virtually no energy is lost.
It is a state of least effort and maximum benefit because all the individual components are working together rather than against each other.
Adam Brady on the Heart Math Solution book.
So how do we get into a coherent state?
Research suggests focusing on the following aspects.
Appreciation,
By building a habit to appreciate what is around you could override past negative behavior.
Forgiveness,
The ability to be able to let go of things that are not relevant in your life.
Mastering forgiveness for oneself could be the answer to forgive others.
Avoid judging.
Being critical of people or situations brings more negativity in our lives.
Observing,
Acknowledging and then letting go will avoid having to get into a judgmental attitude.
Practice 18,
Heart Connection.
Number one,
Make a list of five things you appreciate.
Look at your list and reread each item again.
Write a reason why you are grateful.
Put one or both hands in your heart breathing deeply and after you read each item say thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you with intense emotion.
Number two,
Make a list of situations or people you would like to forgive.
You can say name of the person or situation,
I have decided to let you go and move on.
I am forgiving myself for what happened.
I appreciate it was a difficult time and I am grateful for the learning I got from the experience.
Put one or both hands in your heart breathing deeply and after saying the statement say thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you with intense emotion.
You can rewrite the sentence to whatever makes sense to you.
Number three,
Try not to be judgmental and accept people and situations as they are.
Be well,
Be safe and be grateful.
