You'll then go even deeper using a powerful ancient Sanskrit mantra. davidji rings his signature Tibetan bowl at the end of the meditation and reads once of his favorite passages to help you move back into the world. You will be comforted and held in a sacred embrace of balance, healing, and transformation to begin your day. This is a gift you will carry inside until you fall asleep at night.

Hello,

This is davidji and welcome to another one of my morning practices.

Thank you for joining me.

I'm truly grateful that you're here and I've many different morning practices and they've evolved over the years but this one in particular really speaks to me on so many different levels and I'm hoping it will speak to you as well.

So please allow me to guide you through one of my favorite morning practices.

Before we begin,

Let me share with you some of the beautiful nuances of the vibration that we're going to use to take us into the depths of stillness and silence.

It's a beautiful,

Powerful,

Yet simple ancient Buddhist mantra that has transformed my life in so many different ways.

Calming me,

Softening me,

And healing me physically,

Emotionally,

And spiritually.

It's a Sanskrit mantra and the vibrations are OM AH HUM.

The beauty of this mantra is embedded in each of these bija seed sounds OM AH HUM.

In the original instruction of this mantra it was meant to be perfection of the mind,

Perfection of speech,

Perfection of heart.

But perfection in our more modern times can feel like a lot of pressure.

So I've re-translated that over the years so that OM is not simply perfection of mind,

It's tranquility of mind,

Impeccability of mind,

Peace of mind.

And AH is not simply perfection of speech,

It's tranquility of speech,

Impeccability of speech,

Peace of speech.

And HEART is not simply perfection of heart,

But tranquility of heart,

Impeccability of heart,

Peace of heart.

So you can see OM AH HUM is so powerfully expressive of these universal nourishing and healing qualities.

Tranquility,

Impeccability,

And peace of mind,

Of speech,

Of heart.

All contained in the medicine of these transformational vibrations.

Obviously there are locations.

Peace of mind is in the mind area.

Peace of speech is our mouth and our throat.

Peace of heart is our anahata,

Our heart center,

Where kindness,

Compassion,

Forgiveness,

And love abide.

So that's one of the most beautiful aspects of this mantra,

That all these powerful teachings are embedded in the vibration.

The vibration is always medicine.

And that's why I like to say,

Mantra is medicine.

And so let me guide you through my morning practice.

When we get to the mantra portion,

We'll be using OM AH HUM,

Where the energies of tranquility,

Impeccability,

And peace will begin rippling through your mind,

Your speech,

And your heart.

And so let's settle in.

Gently feather your nest.

And I like to do this practice as soon as I wake up.

This way,

Anything that unfolds throughout the rest of the day is met by just a little bit more stillness and silence.

Together,

Let's take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in as we remember that comfort is queen.

Always keep moving towards comfort throughout the meditation.

And let's do that one more time.

Long,

Slow,

Deep inhale.

Allow your eyelids to ever so gently float closed as you exhale.

And simply begin to watch your breath,

To witness your breath.

Now,

There are many ways we can witness our breath.

Maybe we feel or we see the air coming into our nostrils,

Moving into the back of our nose,

Into our sinuses,

Down through our throat,

Into our lungs,

And then returning back out the same way.

Maybe we notice that our chest is rising up as we inhale.

And easing as we exhale.

Or maybe we notice that our belly is filling on the in and relaxing on the out.

However you feel your breathing,

Just allow that,

Witness it,

Observe it.

Simply notice what's going on right here without any judgment.

And at the top of our next inhale,

Let's drift our attention effortlessly to the space between the in and the out.

It's just a flicker of space.

We breathe in.

There's that space.

And then we let that go.

Let's try that again.

We breathe in.

There's that space again that we notice.

And we breathe out.

The space between is actually who you are.

The space between is your still point.

The space between our thoughts,

Our words,

Our actions.

The space between our breaths.

The space between each beat of our heart.

And just notice the space.

Don't feel the need to do anything with it other than notice it.

And at the top of your next inhale,

See if you can lengthen that space just a beat before you flow back into the exhale.

We breathe in.

There's that space.

We lengthen it just a beat.

And I like to do this about 10 times.

It helps to really regulate my nervous system and slow everything down.

So let's stay in this space for a bit.

And when we get to that space,

We'll just lengthen it one beat before we collapse into our exhale.

And now let's ask ourselves a few sacred questions.

First,

Let's ask,

Who am I?

Who am I?

This is a very profound question and answers may not come to you,

But simply keep asking that question.

Who am I?

Now is a perfect time to begin your dialogue with the universe.

Who am I?

And next,

Let's ask,

What am I grateful for?

What am I grateful for?

Who are the people?

Who are the animals?

What are the situations and circumstances for which I'm truly grateful?

And just allow that gratitude list to unfold before you as we sit in the sacred,

Precious,

Present moment.

And next,

Let's ask,

What does my heart truly long for?

What does my heart truly long for?

And feel free to rest your hand on your heart as you ask this question.

We're not asking our head.

We're asking our heart.

Allow it to whisper the answers back.

What does my heart truly long for?

And now based on the answers to all these questions,

Let's invite an intention into our awareness.

Just one intention and just for today.

And let's make this a state of mind or a state of being,

A trait,

A quality,

A characteristic,

Some aspect of ourselves that we'd like to embrace or awaken or simply amplify just for today.

Essentially,

Who's the you?

Who's going to show up today?

So invite that intention into your awareness and allow it to crystallize.

At this point,

You should be pretty clear on what you'd like to amplify,

Awaken,

Or embrace just for today.

And so now invite that intention into your heart and plant it like a seed in that fertile soil of your heart.

Plant it deep.

Plant it with love.

Plant it with intention.

And feel it embed.

Feel it become you.

With each beat of your heart,

That intention is pulsing through your entire body.

Just allow it.

Allow it to infuse itself into every fiber of who you are.

And now let's take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in and let that breath go.

And we'll release our attachment to outcome.

We've planted the seed with love.

And every time we connect to stillness and silence,

The seed will be nourished.

This is the secret to manifesting.

Tilling the soil and planting the seed.

And so now let's take it deeper.

We'll use that vibration OM AH HUM.

And there's no right speed.

No right volume as you silently repeat it.

It may change.

It may get louder or fainter or faster or slower.

It may become jumbled or distorted.

It may vanish entirely.

That's okay.

As soon as you realize you're no longer repeating the mantra,

Ever so gently drift back to OM AH HUM.

Knowing that you are vibrating the true essence of this mantra.

Tranquility,

Impeccability,

And peace of heart.

I'll watch the time.

And when you hear me ring the chime,

Just sit gently with your eyes closed.

So let's begin.

And just sit gently with your eyes closed and let the stillness and silence settle in.

And now together,

Let's take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in.

And ever so gently,

Let that go.

Let's do that one more time.

Long,

Slow,

Deep breath in.

And release.

And begin to feel some movement back into your body.

And one final,

Long,

Slow,

Deep breath in.

And release that breath.

We've connected to the space between.

We've asked them sacred questions.

We've planted an intention.

And we have energetically infused tranquility,

Impeccability,

And peace of heart.

And peace into our mind,

Our speech,

And our heart.

We've released our attachment to outcome.

We've gone deep into the stillness and silence.

And I like to close my meditations,

Usually with a passage or an affirmation.

One of my great teachers,

The amazing martial artist and philosopher,

Bruce Lee,

Who said,

Be like water making its way through cracks.

Do not be assertive,

But adjust to the object.

And you shall find a way around or through it.

If nothing within you stays rigid,

Outward things will disclose themselves.

And so that is my wish for you today.

Let's seal this with a blessing or a prayer or a vow just to show up as our best today.

Highest vibration always wins.

So let's walk into the world vibrating just a little bit higher.

From the sweet spot of the universe,
