Hello,
This is davidji and welcome to today's meditation.
Let's find a comfortable place.
Sit down or lie down.
Gently allow your eyelids to float closed.
Together let's take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through our nose.
And gently let that go.
And gently follow your breath in and out.
Are you struggling with some emotional turbulence right now?
Is there some type of disconnect between you and emotions within?
Or a disconnect between you and someone else in your life?
Emotional intelligence is our ability to understand,
Manage,
And express our emotions in healthy and constructive ways.
It's also about recognizing and responding appropriately to the emotions of others.
But the most powerful place to start is within ourselves so we can truly understand what ripples within.
And that will allow us to see what's rippling inside others as well.
So let's allow our bodies to relax just a little bit.
Let's allow our minds to slow.
Is there some emotional turbulence in your life right now?
Just reflect on it for a moment.
And say it in one sentence,
Silently,
To yourself.
Is that clear to you right now?
How does it make you feel,
In one word,
If you could distill that sentence just down to a word of how it makes you feel?
And is there a place in your body that you feel it,
Whether that's in your temples,
Your third eye,
Your throat,
Your heart,
Your solar plexus,
Your belly,
Your chest,
Your hips,
Your pelvis?
Find that place right now and gently place your hand on that spot.
And just breathe as you connect to the ripplings within.
Is there a physical feeling associated with that spot,
A pain or discomfort?
Is that a name?
And is there a color you associate with it?
If not,
That's okay.
But if there is,
Go there now and identify it.
And now that you are connected to this emotional turbulence,
To its physical connection,
In your mind's eye,
If some divine being could come into that space right now and gently remove that pain or discomfort right now in this moment,
How would you feel?
Remember to keep breathing.
And let's go there right now and allow the universe's unconditional love,
Non-judgment,
Pure compassion,
Metta,
Loving kindness,
To come in and help you.
Let's use tonglen,
Our power to exchange energy through the act of breathing.
Just gently breathe into that space,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
Feel the universe come into that space with all its healing abilities.
And invoke all the healing words and images that will gently ferry that emotional pain,
That physical discomfort out with your next breath,
And let's release it.
Let's do that again,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath of the universe's healing powers right into that space.
Feel the universe fill you,
Cradle you,
Protect you,
Love you,
And take those unpleasant,
Turbulent feelings.
And as we exhale,
Let's release them back at end of the world.
Release the word.
Release the color.
Release the sensation that is troubling you.
Right now in this moment,
Let's spend some time just breathing it in,
Healing gifts,
Gentle love from the universe into that space,
Ever so gently lifting off of you your emotional turbulence.
With each breath,
Feel your body ease.
With each breath,
Feel the emotional charge leave you.
With each breath,
Allow yourself to heal.
And now let's take it deeper.
We'll use the mantra moksha moksha namaha.
Moksha moksha namaha.
This will release us from all of our emotional pain and fill us with emotional freedom.
Connect us divinely to the oneness of the universe,
Which knows no fear,
Knows no pain,
Knows no sadness,
Only joy,
Only healing,
Only wholeness.
Moksha moksha namaha.
Repeat it silently to yourself.
And as you repeat the mantra,
It may change.
It may get louder or fainter,
Faster or slower.
It may become jumbled or distorted.
However it changes,
Keep repeating it.
And when you notice you've drifted away to thoughts or sounds or physical sensations,
Ever so gently drift back to the mantra.
Moksha moksha namaha.
I'll watch the time.
And when you hear my voice,
Just so gently,
With your eyes closed.
So let's begin.
Moksha moksha namaha.

Let's do that one more time.

And let's seal this moment,
This healing,
This awakening,
This gift from the universe by chanting the hymn of the universe,
Aum.
Just one time together,
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Aum.
And when it feels comfortable,
You can slowly open your eyes.
You can look around with love and look within with love at your lightness of being,
At your moksha,
Your emotional freedom.
And throughout the day,
Throughout this week,
When you find yourself in emotional discomfort,
Turbulence or pain,
Practice this,
Allowing the universe to release you from your pain.
This will allow you to recognize others are in the exact same space as you.
This will cultivate your compassion,
Your self-compassion,
As well as your compassion for others.
From the sweet spot of the universe,
