Transcript
Hi there.
Welcome to this full moon gratitude ritual meditation.
This is a great meditation to do around or on the full moon and it's an exercise you can do any moon cycle.
So we're gonna get started by just tuning into your breath.
Just notice where your energy is today,
Where your body is.
Give yourself permission to settle.
I'll invite you to bring your awareness to the base of your spine.
Just kind of feel the connection to the chair that you're sitting in and allow with a lot of ease a nice sturdy grounding cord to form at that connection.
It grows really effortlessly down from the base of your spine,
Your root chakra,
Growing down down through all of the layers of building that you're in,
Down into the ground,
And down through all of the layers of the earth.
Your grounding cord grows deeper and wider.
It forms a connection between your physical body and the body of the earth.
You can just allow it to connect in to the very center of the planet.
Get a nice strong grip there and allow it to begin to release just the first layer of energy that you're ready to let go of.
This grounding cord is going to keep you here in your body,
Present with yourself as you move forward in this full moon meditation.
In your mind's eye or with your imagination,
Your intention,
Just kind of visualize yourself standing outside.
It's nighttime and you find yourself here along a path.
You begin walking on this path.
You notice what the world looks like around you here.
What does it feel like outside tonight?
You follow this path up a hill and you look up at the sky and notice the light of the full moon.
It's shining down on you and on this land.
It's quiet here.
You can notice what sounds do you hear in this place.
As you walk further up this hill,
You eventually come to the top and you come to a circle formation and there's a fire burning in the center of it.
On the other side of the fire you see a little altar,
A table set up.
You come to sit by the fire.
There's a nice seat that's been prepared for you.
There's blankets that you can cuddle up with to stay warm.
You sit here and just enjoy the warmth of the fire,
The light coming from the moon.
In front of you there's a basin of water.
You use this basin to sink your hands into the water,
Give them a little wash,
Rinse.
As you do this you can just sense that you are washing away any anyone else's energy that's not yours,
Any distractions,
Any foreign energy,
Worries,
Or stress that might have gotten into your space that you're ready to let go of now.
So you finish rinsing your hands in this basin and you hold them up near the fire to warm them.
You feel the heat from the fire on your fingers and you feel it against your face.
As you're sitting here you can just send a hello to the full moon and its energy.
You might do this by waving up at it or you might just kind of send it like a postcard that you send up there or a handwritten note.
Now I'll invite you to just kind of intend to collect up a nice big gold,
Well let's make it a golden moon today.
You can kind of bring a magnet to the space above the crown of your head and let that magnet collect up all of your essential energy from anywhere you might have left it behind.
Maybe it's coming back from your dream space,
Maybe it's coming back from conversations you've had,
Text messages or emails you've sent,
Maybe it's coming back from the past or the future.
You can watch,
Sense or feel that energy collecting up in a nice big bright ball of gold.
It gets even bigger and brighter above your crown and you can't wait to bring it into your body.
So you can go ahead and pop that gold moon and let it rain down.
It enters through the crown of your head,
Fills up your entire head and brain with gold.
It runs down your neck and throat,
Down your shoulders and throughout the front of your chest and your whole upper back,
All the way down your abdomen and lower back,
Filling in all the way down each of your legs,
All the way to the tips of your toes.
You can just notice how does this gold feel in your body,
How does it feel to fill in with yourself and your own energy.
As you sit here in this spot,
You can just notice you're wearing these long flowing soft robes and you've brought three things with you.
So you stand up and you walk around the fire and approach the altar that you saw on the other side.
As you get nearer to this spot,
You notice what else is on this altar.
You see here items that represent significant aspects of your life.
What do you see on this altar?
Maybe there's flowers,
Candles,
Photographs.
Maybe you notice specific sentimental items that are unique to you and your experiences.
You came here ready to add a few new things.
So you reach your hand into the pocket of your robes and you pull out the first item.
This item represents someone in your life for whom you are deeply grateful.
Who is the person that this item represents?
How does it feel in your hands?
How does it look when the moonlight shines upon it?
You hold this item up to your heart and you just allow this feeling of gratitude to flow through your physical body and notice what that feels like and then you place this item on the altar.
So you reach and pull out the second item that you brought with you and this item represents something,
An object,
A lesson,
Or an experience you had lately that you have a deep gratitude for.
What does this object look like to you?
What kind of weight does it have in your hand?
Is it something familiar?
You take a moment to regard this object and this too.
You hold up against your heart space and let yourself feel gratitude in the body for this gift and you find a spot for this item on the altar.
And there's one more object that you brought with you tonight and this item you pull out of your pocket and this represents an aspect of yourself,
A quality of your being,
A certain way that you are showing up in your life,
Some aspect you realize about yourself for which you are deeply grateful.
What does this item look like to you?
Have you seen it before or is it new?
Are you seeing it in a new light?
How do you want to hold this item?
Do you hold it closely in your hands?
Do you want to raise it above your head for everyone to see?
Do you want to share it with someone?
Let this item send a message of gratitude throughout your body.
Allow that gratitude to circulate throughout your being and you can set this item carefully on the altar as well.
Now you return back to sitting by the fire.
You can feel the warmth from the fire but also the warmth of gratitude for everything you've brought with you today.
You can take a moment to collect up one more big ball of golden light above your head.
Let this one fill in with your own unique healing energy from your higher self and also some energy from the full moon itself.
What is a lesson that this full moon is teaching you?
You can let all of this collect up in that nice big ball of golden light above your head and when it's nice and full you can invite it to come into your body.
Let it permeate through your skin and through all of the deep layers of your body going deep into your bones and muscles and nerves and organs and all the way out to the surface of your skin.
And this gold even fills the space around your body almost like making a cocoon of golden light and you can bring all of this with you even when you leave this place.
So you can stand up and say goodbye for now to the altar,
To this burning fire and to the full moon in the sky above and you can walk back down the path.
This path leads you back down the hill that you traveled up.
You follow the path down the hill and you bring your awareness back to your physical body sitting here back to your breath and you can just bring awareness to how you feel now compared to when you started this gratitude meditation.
You can give your body some wiggles and your fingers and your toes maybe a little stretch and when you're ready you can open your eyes.
