Feeling scattered? Struggling to stay present? In this 20-minute meditation, we explore the power of being here now. This place, here and now, is the place with the most possibility. It's the only place we can take action now. What is alive for you, here and now? What is accessible to you? What do you want to create with your here and now? --- Optional journaling prompts: - What am I ready to let go of from my past to reclaim more of my power here and now? - What worries or anxieties about the future am I ready to release to create from a place of presence and trust? From this grounded place… what do I feel called to create today, this week, and this month?

Good morning and welcome to The Artist's Morning.

My name is Darius and I'm so grateful that you and I get this time together.

Our practice today is intended to bring you back to this present moment,

Here and now.

And the purpose of that is to bring us to the moment that has the most power for us.

Bring us to the moment that has the most potential for us,

Here and now.

Let's begin our meditation.

Your eyes are open.

I'd like you to keep them open.

Just gently looking around the room you happen to find yourself in today.

Noticing any colors.

I see blues,

I see reds,

I see greens.

Noticing any shapes.

I see circles,

I see squares and rectangles.

We're about to go in,

But before we go in we're just going to become aware of the space we are in.

Here and now.

Maybe everything looks exactly as it's always looked.

Maybe not.

Let's take one deep breath as we close our eyes and go inwards now.

Breathing in and letting it go.

Are you?

Maybe it's a silly question.

Maybe it's a simple question.

And maybe something else.

Are you?

All answers are welcome.

If you'd like to go deeper,

Pay special attention to your breathing.

Not everyone is a deep swimmer.

Not everyone is interested in a deeper exploration and I want to say that's okay.

And if on this day in this moment you happen to find yourself in a place where you'd like to go deeper,

I want to invite you to start by taking deeper breaths.

Start by taking deeper inhales and exhales.

Gentle.

You don't need to force it.

And with your permission,

I'm going to continue asking questions.

Questions that might seem simple,

Might seem silly.

Might be unanswerable.

And they might be something else.

Our first question was where are you?

Is it the you that you are familiar with?

Is there a different you?

Can you feel the energy of a future you?

Can you feel the energy of a past you?

We honor the past.

We honor the future.

And I want to invite your energy here,

Now.

Using your inhales to lovingly call in energy from the past,

Focus,

Attention,

Resources that you have left in the past.

We're going to inhale them into your heart now,

Into your center now.

Deep breath in.

Calling all energy that we've left in the past in to here and now.

Two more inhales.

Calling all resources we've left in the past here now.

Last inhale.

Letting go of any stories,

Any narratives,

Any beliefs from our past that we no longer need to hold and carry.

Big exhale.

And let's gently move our bodies,

Swaying,

Allowing us to reset,

Reintegrate with this new energy here,

This new focus here.

This new grounding and power we have available here.

And if parts of you attempt to go back to the past,

That's okay.

That's okay.

At any moment,

At any time,

You have the ability to breathe them back into this moment.

This place where we can take actions and make decisions that can make an impact immediately.

And now we're going to do the same for the future.

It's natural for our energy to go into the future,

What might happen,

What could happen.

And sometimes that can be helpful in manifesting and imagining.

And sometimes that can leak energy.

Because we miss this moment here and now.

Let's take a nice deep breath.

Hold at the top of your breath.

And exhale.

We're going to use our inhale to pull in any energy in the future.

It's thinking about what might happen,

What could happen.

And we're going to bring that energy into this present moment.

Breathing in.

All energy in the future,

We are lovingly calling you back into this moment.

Here and now.

Exhaling.

All worries,

All concerns about the future that we do not need to carry and hold.

We're going to let go of.

Big breath in.

And when you exhale,

You're going to let go of anything you no longer need to carry.

Big exhale.

Breathing into your heart.

Tall,

Gentle spine.

Continuing to take deep breaths.

Gentle,

Nourishing deep breaths.

Allowing the life force energy inside you to build,

To spread.

We are here,

Now.

You are here,

Now.

This place,

Here and now,

Is the place with the most possibilities.

Here and now is the only place we can actually take action.

Here and now is the creator's dream.

This is our last song,

Dear artist,

And I want to leave you with a few questions.

What is alive for you here and now?

What is accessible for you here and now?

And lastly,

What do you want to create with your here and now?

Bravo,

Dear artist.

Bravo,

Dear creator.

You made it to the end of another meditation,

And for that I am so grateful.

For those joining us live at the artist's morning,

I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and share a journaling prompt to help us continue this exploration.

Of course,

If you're catching us on a replay,

Perhaps on Insight Timer,

You can do the same.

Put some time on your clock and see what's here and ready to be expressed through you.

Thank you once again for meditating with me.

My name's Darius,

And I'll see you next time.

This guided meditation was very powerful for me. Old patterns of negative thoughts take me back to the past where I judge myself. Living with adult blood cancer (leukemia) 22+ years now and on treatment for life brings worries of my future. Staying in the present is challenging at times. Thank you for this guided meditation with you, Darius. I will revisit this meditation. In Gratitude 🙏🏼 ❤️

It was really hard for me to not think about the future and worry because my daughter is receiving treatment for leukemia and the doctors told us that the next couple of phases will be intense so my mind keeps wanting to jump to the Future. But once I allowed myself to be present I realized that she is a strong girl and she knows she's capable and she's not worried about it so I'm not going to worry about it either she has been taking the treatments very well and I will keep reminding myself of how powerful and capable we are. Thank you so much for bringing me back to the present. I listened to this as I walked on the beach and it really brought me clarity!

I'm so grateful for this practice! Today is the day that I've learned I was sleepwalking. For years, I was sleepwalking... I'm awake and ready to sort my mind out! I think I'm truly present, right now. This is real!

Thank you for this practice D. “Where are you now “ not a simple question. Where am I now? Spiritually, Physically, Emotionally? Lol good question dear teacher I’ve been following you for a minute now and for me this was your best. Love you Namaste.

Another beautiful meditation. I love the music and of course your voice and guidance. I love how you remind us that here in this present moment is the only place we can take action. Not the past nor the future, only now. I will. Arry that with me. Thank you so much for all your love and support Darius, you are truly a blessing to this community.

That was powerful! It just centered me right back to where I need to be mentally without rushing and thinking everything falls on me. But that the power within me of the universe has my back, knows what I need, reassures me that everything is gonna be alright, and all in due time.

Beautiful! At first I felt stuck I wasn’t sure where I was, it was like a black hole. But by the end of this meditation I could see light and colors and beauty. I’m not sure if it’s because of what I’m going through in the moment but I am going to listen to this again when life seems a little more at ease. I’m always so grateful to have you in my life. You are helping me through some really difficult, yet beautiful moments right now. I can see how beautiful these hard days are because you have helped me go deep and appreciate even the hard days. I will come out stronger and more compassionate for sure. Thank you my friend. 🙏🏻💕
