Hello and welcome to The Artist's Morning.
My name is Darius and I'm so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Our practice today is going to be a little different.
The majority of our practice will be me asking three questions.
Now I want to let you know that these are big questions.
Perhaps impossible questions.
And the magic of these questions is that they are impossible.
And for some of us that might feel frustrating because we have oriented ourselves to figure it out,
To have completion,
Closing loops.
And I'm going to let you know that these are different questions and the magic lives in leaving the possibility open.
There's nothing you need to do.
Your brain will attempt to try to figure it out.
And I just want to let you know that just being in the presence of the question will start to open up areas in your consciousness that might have been sleeping and it might be immediately after the meditation,
It might be a week from now,
It might be 10 years from now where that question will reappear.
So let's take a nice deep breath here together.
Breathing in,
Big exhale out.
And if you are up for a little adventure,
Something a little different,
We can explore together today.
Your eyes are open.
I'd like to invite you to close them now as we begin to go inwards together.
Going nice and slow,
Giving yourself an opportunity to land.
Now I've said many things that has brought us into our headspace.
That's okay.
We love our heads,
Our beautiful,
Brilliant heads,
Our hardworking heads.
And we're going to let our heads rest a little here.
Softening your forehead,
Softening your eyes,
Your jaw,
Your neck,
Gently dropping your shoulders and traveling with your inhale from the tips of your lips,
Your tongue,
Your throat,
Your lungs down into your heart and belly.
As we travel with the breath,
We move from our head to our heart,
To our body.
I am here now.
If you like,
You can repeat the affirmation.
I am here now.
And with your permission,
I'm going to share the first impossible question.
It can be helpful just to bring curiosity and playful energy to it.
Our first question,
Who am I?
Who am I?
You can gently repeat that question for yourself.
Repeat it a few times with no attachment for something to happen.
Bravo,
Dear one,
We've allowed the first impossible question to bless our consciousness.
Are you ready for the second impossible question?
Again,
A gentle reminder,
Nothing needs to happen.
We are playing here.
Simply being in the presence of the question will start to bless our consciousness,
Bless our lives in really amazing ways.
So continue softening your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your jaw,
Moving from your head into your heart and your body.
Our second impossible question of the day,
Why am I here?
Why am I here?
Once again,
You can gently,
Lovingly repeat this question for yourself.
No attachment to something happening.
Why am I here?
Bravo,
Dear artist,
Two impossible questions have begun to bless our lives,
Our consciousness in ways beyond imagination.
If you're open to it,
We have one remaining impossible question.
Softening your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your jaw,
Dropping your shoulders,
Entering your heart space.
This is our last impossible question and our last song for the day.
Where is my soul?
Where is my soul?
Bravo,
Dear artist,
Bravo,
Dear creator.
You made it to the end of our practice today.
You made it through three impossible questions.
Maybe you rejected them immediately.
Maybe they frustrated you.
Maybe you moved on to something different.
And maybe,
Just maybe,
You allowed one or more of these questions to enter your consciousness,
Enter your field,
And to slowly bless your life in incredible ways.
Let's take one more deep breath to bring our practice to an end.
Breathing in.
Big exhale out.
And for those that are joining us live at the artist morning,
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and share a journaling prompt on today's theme to allow us to continue going deeper.
Of course,
If you're catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on inside timer,
You can do the same.
Thanks once again for meditating with me.
My name is Darius,
And I will see you next time.
