Currently, there are a lot of things in the world that are trying to divide us. Our planet is experiencing a great deal of chaos and separation. The purpose of this 20-minute guided meditation is to remind all of us of how connected and close we already are to one and other. Compassion over competition. Connection over separation.  Throw on some headphones, find a quiet spot, and get ready for an exploration of the theme of compassion, connection and unity.

Good morning and welcome to the Artist's Morning.

My name is Darius and this is a 20-minute guided meditation intended to help you start your day off feeling more grounded,

More connected,

Both to yourself and to people in your world,

In your community.

This meditation is taking place on the day after the American election,

November 4th,

2020.

And whether you are listening to this live at Artist's Morning or catching a replay,

The theme of this meditation is relevant to more than just the day after an election that had no final result.

The theme addresses the feelings associated to uncertainty.

Also the feelings associated to division and separation.

As a global community,

There is a tremendous amount of division amongst us.

And when I closed my eyes earlier this morning and dropped into my heart,

The download I received was this very meditation.

An offering intended to help connect us back to a sense of community.

Let's begin our meditation this morning.

If your eyes are open,

I invite you to close them now and just connect to your breath,

Your easy breath.

No need to try too hard.

Let's just start nice and slow together here.

Sinking into your seat,

Sinking into your body,

Allowing each inhale to take you deeper,

Deeper,

Deeper.

Dropping your shoulders,

Softening your jaw,

Bringing love and compassion to the space in between your eyebrows,

Softening,

Softening,

Softening,

Deepening your breath now.

Again,

Let's take a nice juicy inhale together,

Holding at the top,

Just letting it all go.

Let's take a moment now in between songs to feel,

To feel perhaps uncertainty in our minds,

In our bodies.

Giving ourselves permission,

If we feel safe and supported here,

To be present with that sense of uncertainty.

No need to fix anything,

No need to change anything.

This is your time to feel connected to what's real and alive inside you.

Just a reminder that here you are safe,

You are supported,

And you can decide how far you want to go.

Taking another deep breath now,

Getting really present with your body,

With yourself.

I want you to see yourself with your legs crossed,

Meditating.

And I want us to go on a little journey together,

In a bubble surrounded by calm and peace.

It's protecting you as you meditate.

There's so much warmth and comfort in this bubble.

It's got a beautiful golden color to it.

And as you meditate,

This bubble with you inside of it,

It starts to float,

Floats into the sky.

As tranquility and calm fall over your body like a warm blanket.

Watch as you float,

Float,

Float into the sky.

Seeing the earth beneath you getting farther and farther,

Seeing the earth beneath you getting farther and farther away.

You continue floating to the upper parts of the atmosphere of planet earth.

As you get further away from the ground,

You get closer and closer to the seat of your soul.

This higher self perspective.

You're now floating,

Looking at planet earth.

You can see its entirety.

Beautiful.

Marble.

Full of life and art and love and laughter.

And challenges and struggles and pains as well.

All of it blended in together.

But notice as you see all of life,

All of humanity,

All of it in front of you,

There is no blue state,

There is no red state.

There is no us and them,

There is just earth.

Mother Gaia.

Home.

As you are hovering above the planet in this beautiful,

Safe and secure meditation bubble.

And the seat of your soul,

Seeing all of earth,

All of us.

Just feel what that feels like in your body.

Feel what that feels like in your heart.

All of us.

All of us.

Together.

Here.

Connected.

Here.

These divisions are illusions.

Yes,

We are all unique.

Stay beautifully unique.

Celebrate uniqueness and others.

And we are all us.

I invite you now in your radiant,

Warm,

Loving meditation bubble to begin floating down back to the earth.

As you descend.

See if you can feel the love in your heart.

For home.

Coming back home.

To earth.

To us.

To together.

As we get closer.

To the ground.

Notice and feel your heart expanding and opening.

Coming down,

Staying in the seat of your soul in this beautiful meditation bubble.

I want you to find yourself.

Find your human.

On earth.

In a moment.

Where.

You felt uncertain and separated from your fellow humans.

Maybe it's a moment where you saw someone on TV.

It had opinions that were different than yours.

Maybe it was a moment where you were having a heated conversation with someone.

Who perhaps shared a different.

Perspective.

On politics.

And as you sit in your meditation bubble in the seat of your soul.

I invite you.

If it feels.

Appropriate.

To try the mantra.

I see you.

I see me.

I see myself in you.

As you watch this interaction.

With this seeming separation.

Between people.

Really feeling.

The power of those words and the meaning behind them in your heart.

Taking a deep breath.

I see you.

I see me.

I see me.

In you.

Feeling.

Feeling that connection.

Of us.

When it really comes down to it.

Is there that much that separates us?

Are we that different from each other?

We all want safety and security and health for our family and friends.

Most of the time.

We're doing the best we can.

We all have fears and insecurities.

We all make mistakes.

The last few minutes in this meditation.

Just going to leave.

You and your heart.

And your plan.

Here together.

Allow you to process and feel whatever's ready.

You and your heart.

In you.

Feeling.

Feeling.

Feeling.

Feeling.

Feeling.

Bravo,

Dear artist.

Bravo dear creator.

Wherever you went,

Whatever you saw,

Whatever you felt,

However far,

However deep,

I honor and respect you for carving out some time for you this morning.

If you're still feeling uncertain,

If you still feel separation and division in your heart,

I want to say that's okay.

We're not looking to fix anything.

We're just exploring,

We're just playing.

We're giving permission and allowing all of us to paint with all of the colors that exist in our hearts.

For those of you that are meditating live at artist morning,

I'll put 15 minutes on the clock as we express and use our pen and paper as our canvas this morning.

And for those of you that are catching the replay,

I invite you to do the same,

Put 15 minutes on the clock and do some journaling.

Thanks again,

Artists.

I'm Darius.

We'll see you next time.
