In this 15-minute guided stillness meditation, we will be tapping into our heart's wisdom and holding sacred space together. Let go of any stress and anxiety. Enjoy the permission to feel, think, and be exactly as you are. Walk away feeling strong and grounded with the ability to create the life you want. The connection to our heart is always there and available to us. Sometimes, we just need to be still long enough to find it.

Good morning.

Good morning and welcome to the artist's morning.

My name is Darius and I am so grateful,

So excited,

And so honored to be here with you this morning.

Wherever you are in the world,

Whatever you're going through,

Whether we've met each other or not,

We are here together in this sacred space that you and I are going to carve out for ourselves.

For those of you that have joined us before at the artist's morning,

With today's meditation you will notice a few things are different.

There will be no music for today's meditation and that's very intentional.

Also,

There will be a few long silent pauses.

It's my belief that our hearts have tremendous wisdom,

Support,

Love,

And power for us.

Yes,

Maybe it's just biology that we all have a heart.

And maybe there is an intelligent design component that ensures each and every one of us from the very beginning of our lives to the very end would have access to this tremendous support system that literally sat under our noses.

If we ever got lost,

If we ever lost our way,

Our hearts were guaranteed to be there.

And in a world full of distractions,

Full of noise,

It became increasingly difficult to hear and sit with our hearts.

So today's meditation will be an opportunity to sit in silence with whatever our heart has for us.

Today's meditation will be a form of exposure therapy.

You will see when we introduce silence to the meditation,

Something will likely come up for you.

Some of you might really enjoy the silence.

Others might feel emotions coming to the surface.

Your mind might try to convince you you are doing this meditation wrong.

I promise you there's no doing this meditation wrong.

Whatever comes up for you,

That is the opportunity available.

We will do a few rounds of silence,

Each time going a little longer.

The point isn't to feel better.

The point isn't to completely numb things out or quiet your mind.

The point is,

Whatever is there,

Whatever feelings are real for you,

It's getting better at being with them.

Each round an opportunity to get a little bit stronger,

A little bit more grounded.

And remember,

This is your meditation.

You can go as far,

As deep,

As light as you'd like.

Okay,

That's enough of me talking.

Let's begin our meditation.

Sending a nice comfortable seat.

And just feeling your body in this moment now.

Your eyes are open.

Let's close them and go inwards together.

Well done.

Our first round of silence.

What came up for you?

Did your mind begin to race?

Were you able to feel a connection to your heart?

Maybe it felt really great,

And maybe it felt something else.

Again,

There's no right or wrong way of doing this.

Each round will get you closer to your truth.

Let's take a nice deep breath now.

One more deep breath,

Holding at the top for a moment.

Hold.

Hold.

And just let it all go.

With this next round,

We're going to go a little longer.

There's an invitation for you to see if you can sit and access a little bit more strength,

A little bit more resilience.

And a little bit more of you.

See if you can notice in the silence any sounds and sensations that are literally coming from your heart.

Let's begin round two now.

Well done,

Dear artist.

Did this second round of silence feel different in any way?

Were you able to drop in to your heart space?

What sensations came up for you?

How much permission are you able to give yourself and your heart in this meditation to feel and think and be exactly as you are?

Let's take a deep breath together as we get ready for the third round.

Breathing in,

Just letting it all go.

Let's take a deep breath together as we get ready for the third round.

Let's take a deep breath together as we get ready for the third round.

Let's take a deep breath together as we get ready for the third round.

Bravo,

Dear artist.

Three rounds of silence.

Maybe you stuck around for all three and maybe you had to tap out.

It's okay.

In a world full of noise and stimulation and distraction,

It's actually a tremendously courageous thing and unique thing to be able and willing to sit in the silence,

To sit with yourself and your heart.

It might have felt very uncomfortable and for some of you I'm sure it actually felt really great.

Whatever came up,

However it felt,

Remember this.

You are a creator.

Every day you have an opportunity to create the life you desire.

To express your truth.

To be yourself.

All of those are acts of creation.

So whatever came up for you,

I sincerely,

Wholeheartedly believe there is something there for you,

For me,

And for all of us.

Thank you for holding this space sacred with me this morning.

My name is Darius and we will see you next time.

Today, I sat in silence with my heart, giving it permission to just be. Peace is what I felt afterwards. 🙏🏽

I was able to sit still and focus for all three rounds each one was better than the previous one. Now I am inspired for my day. Thanks D!
