And welcome to The Artist's Morning.
My name's Darius,
And I am so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Our practice today is intended to help you build your confidence,
To ground your energy,
And to connect with that incredible creative spirit inside you.
Let's begin.
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to close them now.
As we go inwards together,
Slowly,
Gently,
Sitting with a tall spine,
An easy,
Tall spine,
Shoulders gently dropped,
Dropping any tension in your body.
Sometimes I hold tension in my shoulders,
In my neck,
In my forehead.
We're going to introduce slower,
Deeper breaths,
And each time we take a new breath,
We're going to allow it to soften us just a little bit more.
We're going to allow it to lighten us.
Any tension that we're holding,
We're going to let go of it with our exhales.
Let's take a nice,
Deep breath together.
Breathing in,
Hold at the top of your inhale.
Exhale with some noise.
Anything we no longer need,
We let it easily leave our body with our exhales.
We are making room for our joy,
For our confidence.
We are making room for our calming,
Strong,
Resilient energy.
Let's take another deep breath together here.
Breathing in,
Allowing strength,
Confidence,
And resilience into your body with your inhale.
Letting it go.
Letting go of uncertainty.
Letting go of tension.
Letting go of anything we no longer need.
Continue taking deep breaths.
Bringing in new energy.
Letting go of old energy.
Today is a new day.
Today is a new canvas.
Today is a great day to have a great day.
You don't need to have a great day.
There's a choice.
Days don't just happen to us.
We are an active participant in our day and we get to play a role.

There are no right or wrong answers.
Your mind tries to convince you you're doing it wrong.

I'm going to share some affirmations to help our minds slow down.
Help us go into our heart space.
Help us to access the confidence.
Access the focus.
Access the creativity that already exists within us.
And as with all affirmations,
You get to pick and choose which ones you want to bring in and which ones you want to let float away.
I like to keep my affirmations fairly simple.
There's a lot out there,
A lot of stories,
A lot of narratives,
Perhaps,
That we continually tell ourselves that chop us down.
And with these affirmations,
We are building ourselves up.
Take a nice deep breath.
As I get ready to start with the affirmations,
Breathing in and letting it go.
All I need is within me now.
Is within me now.
The confidence and strength I am seeking lives inside my heart.
The focus and consistency I long for lives inside my heart,
Is within me now.
And my job is to be honest with who I really am.
My job,
My responsibility is to allow my true self to play,
To expand,
To grow,
And to soar.
I am strong.
I am clear.
I am present.
I am here.
I am strong.

Continue taking deep breaths.
The invitation is to allow new energy in,
Supportive,
Nourishing energy into your system.
And to allow old energy,
Old stories,
Old beliefs to gently be released with your breath,
Your exhale.
You're allowed to let go dear artist.
You're allowed to let go.
You don't need to carry anything that is no longer serving you.
Is there something you are ready to let go of?
Is there a place in your life where you are carrying a heavy load and you don't need to be?
Is there a place in your life where you are placing more weight,
More heaviness,
More pressure on yourself and you don't need to be?
What if what you were looking for is already here,
Are notorious for being very bad at really seeing themselves?
It's a strange thing.
We all know it.
We've all felt it.
We are often our harshest critics.
We look at photos of ourselves and we're like,
Who's that?
We hear recordings of ourselves and it's jarring,
Not for everyone,
But many people.
But when it comes to giving compliments to others,
It's often easier.
What if you are doing better than you realized?
What if you've gotten farther than you thought?
What if being extra harsh to ourselves wasn't needed?
What could happen in your life if you decided to be 10% more supportive,
10% gentler,
10% more patient with yourself?
This is our last song.
These are just some questions you can play with or go in a completely different direction.
It's really up to you,
