Good morning and welcome to the artist's morning.
My name is Darius and I am so excited that we get to meditate together.
Today's meditation will be on the theme of forgiveness,
Specifically self-forgiveness.
Anyone who has decided to live a life where they express themselves,
Live a life where they create,
Whether you call it art,
Business,
Or just human expression,
Living a creative life,
Sometimes involves saying things,
Doing things,
Making promises,
Committing to things that maybe you don't finish.
Maybe you don't show up in full integrity and alignment with your values.
Today's meditation will be space,
Support,
And compassion for any older parts of us that maybe are hiding,
Maybe are feeling shy or even embarrassed.
Today's meditation will not be judgment,
Will not be about fixing those parts or forcing them to have any type of experience.
It will be holding space for them and if you're open to it,
Sending love and kindness to those parts.
You will decide how far you go and what you're ready for.
Let's begin our meditation.
Your eyes are open.
I invite you to close them now.
As we go inwards together.
Let's start really easy.
You don't need to skip any steps.
Just give yourself a moment to land in your seat this morning.
Taking a few deep breaths.
Connecting with yourself,
With your body,
Even with your thoughts.
How is your heart this morning?
How is your heart this morning?
Getting closer to your heart by breathing into your heart space now.
Follow the breath to your heart.
Allowing a gentle softness to fall onto you now.
There is safety here.
There is comfort and stability here.
Can you feel it?
I want to take a moment in between songs to really bring our awareness inwards to ourselves.
Feeling the stillness,
The grounding energy that is available to you here.
As we go deeper in a moment to connect with different parts of ourselves.
Let's just take a few seconds here together to remember that our higher self,
A deeply grounded,
Wise and powerful self is here and accessible to us always.
Feeling the energy of that higher self.
And just remembering that you always have access to your higher self.
Taking a few deep breaths here.
Accessing just a little bit more stability,
Support and safety for yourself here.
Even 1% is wonderful.
A reminder that all of you is safe here.
All of your parts,
Introverted,
Extroverted,
Whatever you want to label them as.
They are welcome here.
This is not a place where they will be judged.
This is not a place where we attempt to fix them.
We're just holding space for them.
As we go through this meditation,
Maybe a particular event or moment in your past might come up where you feel embarrassed,
Where you feel out of integrity or ashamed.
Specifically focusing with a moment in your life where you were going to do something,
Where you were going to create something,
Where you were excited about something and maybe it didn't go how you expected.
And maybe it's not a particular event,
It's just a feeling.
That's okay too.
As we sit here together,
Carving out space and support for you and all your parts.
We are creating a healing space together.
A loving,
Compassionate,
Nurturing space for you and them just to be.
Maybe they are still hiding,
That's okay.
Maybe they've taken one step closer to you,
One step into the light with you here.
All of you,
All your parts are welcome here.
Taking a nice deep breath now.
And this is the next part of the meditation.
I'm going to share some affirmations,
Some words.
And you can sit back and relax and just take them in like loving,
Healing medicine to your system.
And you can also repeat them to yourself inside your mind,
Inside your heart.
Both options are available to you.
Taking a moment to connect to your heart.
Sending love and compassion to all past versions of yourself that did the best they could.
Sending love and compassion to all past versions of yourself that got you here,
Now.
Just before we begin really holding the energy of those past selves in your heart,
Feeling them,
Seeing them.
I'll begin with the affirmations now.
I see you.
I feel you.
I am you.
And I forgive you.
I forgive us.
I forgive us.
It's okay to let go now.
It's okay to finally let go now.
I'm going to repeat those same affirmations.
And if you feel called to it,
You can place one hand on your heart,
Maybe even one hand on your belly.
For as long as you'd like,
It doesn't feel right for you,
You don't need to do it.
But sometimes loving physical affection to ourselves can deepen the experience.
Taking a nice deep breath now.
I see you.
I feel you.
I am you.
And I forgive you.
I forgive us.
I forgive us.
It's okay to let go now.
It's okay to finally let go now.
I see you.
I am you.
I am you.
I am you.
Slowly coming back,
Coming back to your body.
Feeling the stability underneath you here.
Feeling the support available to you here.
Feeling your own power.
Feeling your own ability to love yourself and hold yourself and hold space for all of yourselves.
Taking a few deep breaths here as our meditation comes to an end.
For those of you joining us live at the Artist's Morning,
As always I'm going to put 15 minutes on the clock and invite you to do some private personal journaling.
If you're catching us on a replay,
You can do the same,
Put 15 minutes on your own clock and just see what's here,
What's ready to express through you and maybe what's ready to release through you.
Thank you for meditating with me this morning.
My name's Darius and we'll see you next time.
