Beautiful.
So let's first begin by finding a posture that feels relaxed.
Comfortable meditative position.
Whatever that means for you.
And we first begin by reflecting on a time in your life when you felt really good about having attained a goal.
Major.
Minor.
The full spectrum.
The continuum.
Just reflecting on a moment where you felt really good about having attained something.
What goal did you feel really good and proud of?
What choices and actions did you make?
What are some other things that led up to this decision?
Beautiful.
And now consider how you've added value into situations or to other people.
Consider how you've added value into situations or other people.
All the positive influences you've shared.
And now reflect on some things that you can get done over the course of a day.
All the amazing many things you do over the course of a day.
Good.
Now recall ways you influenced others or played a leadership role,
Perhaps in the family or friendship or business.
Bring mindfulness to some positive choices you've made.
All empowering experiences that lead to a greater sense of accomplishment and agency.
See if you can open up to this feeling and let it fill you.
Help it last and allow it to become more intense in your mind,
Your heart,
In your body.
You have made things happen.
You are competent.
You are effective.
And you will continue to be so.
Bring mindfulness to any other feelings that may arise like dignity,
Self-respect,
Or a sense of possibility.
If you happen to feel any resistance to this sense of success or worth right now,
That's okay.
That is completely normal.
See if you can gently bring your mind back to remembering those good feelings after you did something that you were really proud of doing.
Feel the sense of accomplishment or agency sinking into you.
And remember that you can tap into this feeling anytime you remember it.
You can also sense what it will be like to accomplish more.
Even little day tasks.
When you feel satisfied with meeting your goals that contribute to your well-being and the being of others.
Listen to the reality that you can build on a foundation of what you've already done.
Let ease spread through your body and mind and release any pressure or dryness.
That there's a sense of fragility somewhere in your consciousness.
It could be helpful or useful to imagine a nurturing person who is holding you as a child,
Reassuring you that you will reach your goals.
You are special and powerful and you get things done and make a difference.
Thank you for your courage to remember who you really are.
To bring mindfulness to a sense of agency that you have and you have always had inside of you.
Ready to unleash at any time.
Along with life's difficulty,
There may be natural,
Common feelings or beliefs of entrapment,
Immobilization and helplessness.
To some degree,
We may feel that we cannot escape the awfulness of it.
Agency is just a fancy term for feeling of being able to make things happen.
To cultivate this sense of agency or free will,
Remember a time when you felt accomplished or successful in having done something.
Or pay attention to the little things you do each day that make a difference and to the people around you.
Good.
I hope this was helpful for you.
Thank you for your mindfulness.
And if you are ready,
Shifting your awareness to your environments and your surroundings and your bodies and your breath.
Thank you for taking the time to honor ourselves in the present moment.
