A recalibration of self. In retreating inwardly, we deepen our self-awareness, experience the spacious stillness and soften to the grounding presence that is always available when we take the time to retreat inwardly. Namaste.

Hello and welcome,

In this meditation we explore the depths of our inner sanctuary,

Our spacious awareness,

Our conscious connection.

In doing so we awaken to the silent and expand into the nothingness beyond the inner and outer worlds and twirls experienced on this beautiful journey.

We graciously and courageously move outside the tangled web of cluttered thinking in releasing the weary labour and hurt minds to explore the depths of our true unwavered being.

From this space we start to become more attentive to those delicate whispers that are calling for us to retreat inwardly,

Where we fall into a little more simplicity,

With a little more ease and appreciation for these moments with each breath.

Take a moment to bring awareness to your breath,

Start to connect to your in and exhalation,

Not without force or pushing it in any other way,

More so naturally with attentiveness.

Let the breathing be easy and your mind neutral.

You may like to bring your own mantra in,

Or your breathing can be your mantra.

Find your in breath and let yourself soften a little more on the out breath.

In breath,

Out breath,

One more,

Just like that.

In breath,

Out breath.

Now let your awareness come back into the minds eye for a moment.

Take a second to consider what is gripping you in this time,

Let that trouble or worry take gentle shape in your mind for a moment.

Forgetfulness is the ultimate illusion,

Seeing all of yourself through the eyes of loving kindness and compassion.

Take one deep breath with me here,

Notice when the brain tries to put things back in order.

Just love it and let it and come back to the breath.

Allow it to be easeful and smooth and let that breathing calm ripple right down into your being.

Now allow your breath to come into fruition just a little deeper here.

Notice as it starts to expand into the depths of your being with conscious connection.

May this next expansive full belly breath carry you home instantly.

Let this peace emerge from within you and let this quiet be a food for a few moments in time.

Moving away from your breath now and simply just allow yourself to receive and sip from the cup of your own medicine.

Let this consciousness drift and sink deeper to all parts of your spacious presence within.

Feel the spaciousness that is here and start to experience your whole being float in the stream of consciousness.

Just be here and receive in this magical essence.

As you turn your gaze even further inwardly,

Register this spacious presence,

Magical silence.

When you take the time to retreat,

You're connecting within.

There's no forgetting,

No leaving or disregarding.

Just connecting where things soften,

They settle and spread and dissolve from within.

This is home my friends,

This is home.

You're always safe to do so in these moments.

You are allowed to be still,

To be nourished,

To rest in this spacious ease that arises within.

This retreat is always available for you to come back to.

When forgetfulness begins to arise,

When you feel yourself being pulled in more directions than one,

When you find yourself disconnected from self,

Be well.

Now if it is in your practice,

Bring your hands to prayer position,

Anjali Mudra,

Prayer heart center,

And soften with me here for one last nourishing breath in honoring and in awe of this meditation and yourself for showing up here with me in retreating inwardly.

From this place where I meet myself is the same place where I meet you.

Namaste.
