Hello and welcome to this gentle guided meditation to relieve depression and anxious thoughts.

Let's take a moment to find a comfortable position either seated or lying down.

Making sure the spine is nice and long and just allowing all of your limbs to relax.

Beginning with a deep inhale through the nose.

And as you softly exhale,

Closing your eyes.

And let's start with focusing on the breath.

Really paying attention to how the lungs expand and contract when you inhale and exhale.

Just allowing the breath to flow however it wants.

Just being with the breath.

Taking another breath in.

As you exhale,

Begin to feel yourself letting go of any worry.

Any tension that may be in the shoulders or in the jaw.

Noticing how relaxed you are becoming right now.

Letting another breath come in naturally.

Imagining a bright future as you let it go.

Noticing depression,

Any anxious thoughts,

Easing away and fading away.

A gentle wave of relaxation sweeping over you as you breathe in.

And lovingly breathe out.

With each breath you're feeling more calm and more peaceful.

Now being open to receiving new thoughts.

Opening up with each breath.

Taking in new and fresh energy.

Begin to notice how new ideas present themselves to you.

Bringing up feelings of abundance as if you have so much that your cup pours over for others to enjoy the abundance you have created.

And now imagining that you are energized and have a zeal for life.

Even if this is not true of your present self,

Imagine it vividly and with as much detail as you can.

See yourself full of energy and optimism.

You can imagine it as if you are watching a movie of yourself if this helps.

But see the colors brightly and watch yourself full of ambition taking steps toward achievement.

Staying with your breath and allowing your attentions to remain positive.

Even if you don't feel positive in this moment,

You can imagine what being joyful is like.

And now,

Continuing to breathe into this joy you are creating.

And noticing how you are consciously shifting any depressed or anxious thoughts right now into peaceful feelings instead.

By following your breath.

Breathe deeply and let your exhale completely relax you.

Any thoughts that previously held you back become smaller and smaller.

As you watch these thoughts disappear.

You are freed from the grip.

If you have any more negative thoughts rise,

Drop them off on the side of the road by any creative means that arises and right away watching them grow smaller until they are consumed by the horizon.

Taking these next few moments,

Allow yourself to simply be.

Free from any obligations,

Expectations,

Titles.

Just be in this moment.

Free of worry,

Guilt,

Shame,

Fear,

Anxiety or depression.

Just let it go for this moment and be here in the now.

Let it go for this moment.

Let it go for this moment.

Now noticing and feeling the change of this moment,

Feeling the difference between how you felt before you began this meditation.

Allow yourself to live there.

Your new thoughts,

Find a new home within your inner being.

And slowly bringing movement into your space.

Perhaps wiggling your toes or your fingers.

Or maybe even shifting your head from side to side.

Taking your own time,

Slowly coming back into this moment,

Into this present space.

Thanking yourself for taking the time to free yourself from worry and anxious thoughts.

Know that you can always return to the breath and use that as a tool to free yourself.

Thank you for joining me in this practice with Danny the Yogi Dog.
