Chewing is an essential part of the digestive system and is the first step to bringing balance within our system. During this 30-minute journey, we will explore the satisfaction of chewing our food, taking our time to discover all the aspects our food has to offer. It's time we start seeing our food as more than just food.

Hi,

And welcome to today's meditation.

Today we are focusing on eating.

How we eat our food is so important to our digestion.

And so how the food is then incorporated into our bodies.

Chewing is an essential part to our digestive system.

And in today's society,

We don't really chew anymore.

For the next 30 minutes,

We will be going on a chewing journey.

Chewing our food together one bite at a time.

There will be a bell that will ring every minute.

And when that bell rings,

That means you can swallow and take another bite.

We will be chewing a bite for a whole minute before swallowing,

Giving ourselves the time to really appreciate every taste,

Every smell,

Every texture the food has to offer to us.

I encourage you to give yourself this time to really connect with your food.

Embrace the colors,

The smells.

Look at the different fragments of light shining upon it and bless it with your love.

Our food is what nourishes us.

It keeps our body going.

And by really learning to appreciate what we put inside,

We learn to really appreciate our bodies.

And when you are ready,

You can take your first bite.

You're ultimately gonna eat it,

So eat it,

Eat it today,

Excellent, activating meditation. I’ll be using this one often.

Thank you so much! 💖 This is exactly what I needed. In the middle of the meal I stopped the session as I was already full (I percieved fullness much earlier then I usually do). I literally had tears in my eyes, enjoying the meal. This will really help me to eat more mindfully and recognise when my body has had enough. Thank you.
