This meditation uses the repetition of the mantra RA MA DA [roughly translated as The Sun, The Moon, The Earth] to create a continous loop which allows us to access our deepest level of conscious relaxation. Mantras in Transcendental Meditation are intended to have no intellectual meaning. It's best to silently repeat the mantra and allow the technique to carry you through your meditation.

Welcome to this 30 minute guided meditation using mantra with very light guidance from me,

Dani.

I'll be using a simple mantra,

Another one of my favorites,

Ra Ma Da,

Which roughly translates to the sun,

The moon,

And the earth.

Should you wish to use your own mantra,

Perhaps one that you've already been practicing with,

You'll have plenty of space to do that once my voice fades into the background.

Let's begin.

Sit comfortably with your legs and arms relaxed and your spine upright so that your shoulders are above your hips.

I encourage you to gently shift around from side to side,

Front to back,

Eventually coming to stillness,

A place where you feel settled and supported.

Close your eyes and turn your attention to your breath until you find a natural,

Easy rhythm.

I'll start us off with an audible mantra,

But my voice will eventually disappear and you'll continue to silently repeat the mantra on loop.

When you notice that you've become distracted or that you've lost the mantra,

You'll simply start again.

Take a nice deep breath in and out.

With your eyes closed,

Begin to let go of the mantra now,

Deepen your breath,

Start to sense your surroundings and feel your body in space.

As the breath deepens,

The mantra disappears completely.

Take these next few moments to integrate your inner and outer worlds,

Staying as long as you need of course.

And when you feel ready,

Just gently bow the head,

Softly open the eyes,

Eventually lifting your gaze.

I chose to use this as a great way for me to stay present in my dog walk as well as assist me to walk for longer as my mind was occupied in a relaxed state.

Great meditation. Might be a bit more for people new to TM/mantra meditation since the reminders distracted me more than helped, but still super.
