The Way Of Meditation - Consciousness Vs. Content
Meditation is perhaps the most powerful tool there is when it comes to calling forth the peace, love, joy, harmony, abundance, and wholeness that is inherent within each of us. As such, I have been guided to create this The way of Meditation Series. Each ”session” will begin with brief teaching around meditation followed by a meditation sitting. I invite you to join me for a beautiful, healing, soothing and empowering moment of becoming still through meditation. Namaste, Daniel

Blessings and welcome to the way of meditation.
These segments are about either learning to meditate or getting into the habit of meditate on a regular basis.
Meditation is one of the most powerful tools that we have that we can utilize.
I've got my cat here and he's,
I don't know what he's doing.
But meditation is one of those,
One of the most powerful tools for us to wake up and for us to come into the awareness that we are the consciousness that,
That we are consciousness,
Period.
That we are consciousness through which a lot of content flows.
I love Reverend Michael Bernard Beckwith's analogy of consciousness where he likens it to the ocean and he goes on to say that,
You know,
There's the ocean,
Which is a body of water and then there's a lot of content in that ocean.
There is fish,
There is seaweed,
There are whales,
There are different kinds of life.
There's islands,
There is plastic,
There's pollution,
There's sunken ships.
There's all these,
All these contents in the ocean,
But none of it,
The fish are not the ocean.
The seaweed is not the ocean.
The plastic is not the ocean.
None of it is the ocean,
But the ocean is the ocean and then there's stuff in it.
And so it is with us that we are pure consciousness through which a lot of stuff flows.
So we've got thought forms,
We've got physical expressions and physical sensations,
We've got emotions,
We've got opinions and judgment and point of views and all of these,
All of these,
These are the content that we,
The consciousness or the pure awareness that we experience.
And so meditation allows us to come into this realization and meditation allows us to sort of not create a gap or a space because the gap or the space is always there,
But it allows us to become aware of the gap and the space in between us,
The watcher,
The observer and all this content.
And so I'm always grateful that you are choosing to join me.
I'm always grateful to be accompanied by you in these moments of meditation.
And so wherever you are and whenever you are,
I invite you to make yourself comfortable.
As we talked about a while ago,
Meditation is always a joyous thing.
It's a joyful thing.
So we want to make sure that we're comfortable so that we can turn our attention to being fully present because that's what meditation is,
Being fully present in the nowness of this moment.
And so I invite you to make yourself comfortable.
I invite you to put a smile on your face as always,
Letting your body know that all is well,
Giving your body permission or giving the signal to the body that it can begin to produce and distribute all these healing chemicals and hormones and all of the wonderful things that the body does.
And so you can keep that smile.
And even if you don't feel like smiling,
If you'd rather have a frown on your face,
I invite you to smile in a way because the body doesn't know whether you're smiling for real or whether your smile is fake.
So I invite you to smile.
Also I invite you to close your eyes and begin to tap in between the eyebrows.
Gently,
Gently,
Gently activate that first eye,
The spiritual eye,
The divine eye,
Which allows us to catch that which cannot be caught with our human senses.
But it's still there.
It's not absent in any way.
It's always there.
And so as we activate this spiritual eye,
We make ourselves open and available to catch that which cannot be caught with our small and limited human perceptions.
But as we keep tapping,
Let's set an intention for this meditation.
My intentions are always to wake up to who and what I am and to forever allow for greater and greater expression so that who and what to emerge.
So we can release the tapping.
I invite you to place your hands in your lap,
Palms facing upward,
Middle finger and thumb touching,
Sign of receptivity,
Of transcending the ego.
So in this moment,
We turn our attention toward our breath.
And as always,
We want to be aware that the body,
First of all,
Is fully capable and able of breathing in and of itself,
Which means that we do not need to make the breathing happen.
We can simply surrender to the breath.
We can simply observe the breath as it happens.
And also we want to be aware that as we turn our attention toward the breath,
We want to keep it on the full breath.
The full breath has four stages to it.
The in-breath,
The out-breath,
The space in between in-breath and out-breath,
And the slightly longer space in between the out-breath and the in-breath.
And being aware of this and seeking to,
Intending to have our attention stayed on the full breath allows us and enables us to keep our attention on the breath.
So I invite you to take on the feeling tone that all is well and to allow the peace that follows to move you deep,
Deep,
Deep into the stillness and into the silence.
And should your attention drift away from the breath,
I invite you to lovingly and gently turn it back to the breath and begin again.
Take a deep breath.
Come back to the breath and begin again.
Come back to the breath.
And begin again.
Come back to the breath and begin again.
And begin again.
And begin again.
And begin again.
Come back to the breath and begin again.
And begin again.
And begin again.
And begin again.
And begin again.
And begin again.
Come back to the breath and begin again.
And begin again.
And begin again.
And begin again.
Come back to the breath and begin again.
And begin again.
And begin again.
And begin again.
And begin again.
As I in a brief moment moves into prayer,
I invite you to remain with your eyes closed,
Your mind open and available and receptive to catch the vibration of the prayer,
Giving it permission to move you into an even higher level of frequency and an even more expanded consciousness.
And so in this moment how grateful I am for the peace that is here that we are,
For the love that is here that we are,
For the wholeness that is here that we are,
The wellness that is here that we are,
The abundance that is here that we are.
I'm simply grateful for this moment,
Period.
This magnificent,
Wonderful,
Beautiful,
Powerful moment.
I'm grateful for you and for your participation in this moment,
For your co-creation in this moment,
Of this moment.
That you're choosing to withdraw from the world,
That you're choosing to become still,
To become silent,
To turn within,
To grow,
Unfold,
Expand.
I'm so mighty grateful for you and for that yes,
For your continuous yes to walk along the path of freedom,
To walk along the path of awakening,
Forever allowing for greater and greater expressions of who and what you are to emerge.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
From this space of gratitude,
It is so easy for me to recognize the eternality and the goodness and the wholeness of God,
Of Spirit.
That Spirit is all there is,
Fully present in every space and every place in all of creation.
That Spirit is both the Creator and the creation,
Eternally seeking to come into greater and greater expressions of itself in,
As,
And through all of creation.
Infinite love,
Infinite peace,
Infinite joy,
Infinite harmony,
Infinite abundance,
Infinite wholeness.
These are some of the qualities of God that is fully expressing themselves in each being,
In each object,
In each space and place in all of creation.
Which means that right where you are and right where I am,
All of that which God is,
Is fully present.
All of the love,
All of the peace,
All of the joy,
All of the harmony,
All of the abundance,
All of the beauty and wholeness and harmony,
It is right where we are,
Right where you are,
Right where I am.
I know it and I feel it.
I know it and I feel it.
We are lacking in nothing.
We're missing nothing.
But everything has already been given to us.
We have it in consciousness because the consciousness that we are is the same consciousness that Spirit is.
We and God are one.
We and Spirit are one.
We're one with the one.
We're one with the whole.
We are Spirit and all of these beautiful divine qualities expressing themselves in us and through us and our lives in this moment and in every moment.
Something truly wonderful is happening right now.
Healing is happening right now.
Abundance is happening right now.
Harmony is happening right now.
Beauty is happening right now.
Right where you are,
Right where I am.
All is well.
All is well.
Because right where we are,
All of God is.
All of God is.
And everything and anything that has heretofore hindered and blocked and obstructed us from knowing and feeling that we're one with God is now dissolved,
Transmuted into the nothingness from which it came to never to return.
And in its place,
Awareness wells up.
Expanded consciousness wells up.
Our natural state is emerging.
The state of bliss,
The state of joy,
The state of expansion,
The state of abundance,
The state of wholeness,
The state of harmony,
The state of love.
It is emerging now in this moment.
Just like a rosebud evolves into the beautiful rose right where we are.
Something so wonderful is happening right now.
We are evolving.
We are expanding in this moment,
In this very moment,
Pedal by pedal by pedal by pedal.
We are unfolding in such a beautiful,
Magnificent and divine way.
It is truly a blessing to be alive.
It is truly a blessing to be awake.
It is truly a blessing to be aware.
I know it.
I feel it.
I accept it.
I give thanks for it.
I allow it to be.
So it is.
So be it.
So shall it be.
So shall it be.
Amen.
Amen.
Shalom,
Salaam,
Hallelujah.
