Prayer is not about us begging or asking an external presence for anything, but it is about us expanding our consciousness to know and feel who and what Spirit is and our absolute oneness with it. It is about us taking on the feeling tone that in this very moment, all is well - regardless of conditions and circumstances. And so, I invite you to join me as we go through the six steps of the affirmative prayer that you may use in your own life to expand your consciousness.

Blessings and welcome to the path to freedom.

My name is Daniel Roquejo and as always I'm deeply,

Deeply,

Deeply grateful and honored that you're choosing to join me,

That you're choosing to tune in for a moment of expanding our consciousness and raising our vibration,

Thus allowing for more peace and freedom and joy and harmony and abundance and wholeness to emerge from within ourselves and from around ourselves.

Today's theme is the six steps of the affirmative prayer.

I've been getting questions about the various steps and stages of the affirmative prayer.

If you have joined me in a Power of Prayer session,

You perhaps have realized that there is a structure to these prayers,

To these affirmative prayers.

And so I've been getting questions about this structure and these steps and so this session will be about these steps and I'll walk us through and explain these steps so that you may use this modality,

This powerful,

Powerful,

Powerful tool to your own benefit in your own life.

So the affirmative prayer,

Or as it is also called the six-step spiritual mind treatment,

First of all let us begin by defining what an affirmative prayer is,

Or this mind treatment,

What it is,

For the purpose of this session.

So prayer,

An affirmative prayer,

Is not a prayer where we ask or beg or beseech spirits or some external deity or power or presence to give us anything.

That is not what an affirmative prayer is.

But an affirmative prayer is all about us,

As the other name implies,

Spiritual mind treatment.

And so an affirmative prayer is all about us treating our own minds to know and feel the truth,

To know and feel ultimately that we are one with the Spirit and that Spirit is good.

That's the purpose of prayer and that is what an affirmative prayer aims at.

Us releasing conditions,

Us releasing attachments to anything outside of ourselves having to be in a particular way before we can feel joy,

Before we can feel freedom,

Before we can feel peace or wholeness or harmony or health or abundance.

So prayer is not ever about changing an external condition or circumstance,

But prayer is about moving us into vibrational alignment with all being well,

With something wonderful always happening,

And with everything working for the highest good.

So that is what prayer is about.

And so we have the six-step spiritual mind treatment,

The affirmative prayer,

Which has six steps.

And so these follow upon one another,

Which means that we begin with the first step and then we move to the second and to the third and to the fourth and to the fifth and to the sixth in that order.

And what is good to know,

And I'm probably going to revisit this,

But I want to begin by saying we're wise to stay at our current step until we feel it,

Until we feel moved by it,

Until we feel embraced by it before we move on to the next.

So this is not about us rushing through these six stages or steps.

It is much better,

Let's say that you have two minutes to pray,

Then it is much better to stay in one step for the whole duration of those two minutes unless you feel that step than rushing through the six steps,

Not feeling any of them.

So the first step is gratitude.

We always,

Always,

Always want to begin and end in gratitude.

Gratitude is that beautiful vibration that when we move into it,

We've released all sense of fear and worry and doubt,

All sense of attachment to any kind of conditions or outcomes or opinions or judgments or point of views or thoughts as to what should and should not be.

When we are in gratitude,

We've moved into the nowness of this moment,

Realizing the good that is here,

The good that is always here in the nowness of this moment.

And so the first step,

Gratitude,

This is where we begin to give thanks for the good that is present.

And I usually move into this step giving thanks for me,

For who I am,

For where I am,

For who I'm becoming,

For that which is emerging in my life.

I move on to give thanks for the health that I enjoy,

My family,

The love that is here,

The joy that is here,

The peace that is here,

The harmony that is here,

The wholeness that is here,

The abundance that is here.

I usually give thanks for my intentions that keep guiding and leading and moving me into ever greater and greater expressions of who and what I am.

We can give thanks that we're able to breathe,

For the infinite intelligence of our bodies,

That without us having to be aware of it,

Do so much.

They breathe,

Extract the oxygen,

Take care of the carbon dioxide,

They digest,

They heal,

They regenerate,

They circulate the blood,

They circulate the oxygen,

They get rid of waste.

There is so much that our bodies do that is worthy of our gratitude.

We can give thanks for a loved one,

A pet,

Something that is happening,

Something that has happened,

Something that we expect to happen.

What we give thanks for,

How we move into gratitude,

Doesn't really matter.

The important thing is that we do move into gratitude.

And once again,

We do not want to leave this step until we absolutely feel grateful.

So we can stay for the whole duration of the prayer in this one step.

Because we don't want to move into the actual prayer with the condition.

We don't want to bring the conditions into the prayer,

As the prayer is not about changing conditions.

So that's the first step,

Gratitude.

And the second step is recognition.

And this step is where we recognize who and what Spirit is.

And perhaps you've heard me say that I know and I feel like God is all there is,

That God is good,

That God is eternal.

Or using other words,

I sometimes say that I know and I feel the allness and the goodness and the eternality of Spirit.

And then I perhaps go on to say that Spirit is infinite love and infinite peace and infinite joy and infinite harmony and infinite abundance.

That God is fully present in every space and place.

That Spirit is both the Creator and the Creation.

That God is in everything,

That God is everything,

That everything is in Spirit.

That God is fully present in every being,

Every object,

Every space,

Every place,

And all of creation.

So this is where we describe and articulate to ourselves what we know to be true about Spirit.

And then when we have established that recognition,

When we feel that recognition,

We move on to the next step,

Which is unification.

Unification is where we establish oneness with God.

We establish our oneness with God.

So if God is everywhere,

And as God is all there is,

It must mean that right here where I am,

Spirit is.

It must mean that I and God are one.

It must mean that I am Spirit expressing self in,

As,

And through me.

That I am a unique and perfect emanation of Spirit.

Whatever separate,

Not ever distant or distanced,

Not ever set apart,

But always one,

One with one,

One with the whole.

God is I am.

So we stay at this step until we feel that oneness.

And when we do,

When we know and feel that we and God are one,

We move on to the fourth step,

Which is realization.

In realization,

This is where we take all that we have established Spirit to be,

And our knowing and feeling that we and God are one,

We put them together.

If God is infinite love,

For instance,

Which we have established in the recognition step,

And if God and I are one,

It must mean that I am infinite love.

If God is abundance,

Infinite abundance,

And God and I are one,

It must mean that right here where I am,

Infinite abundance is.

So all that we know to be true about God,

We take that,

And as we and God are one,

All that we know to be true about God is also true about us and our lives.

To me,

This is one of my favorite,

I mean gratitude is my favorite step,

But this realization step,

It is also one of my favorites,

Because this is where I wash away all the conditions.

My mind,

I may have entered the prayer with a particular condition.

It has been washed away,

It has been cleaned away,

I've released it,

I've let it go through the first three stages or steps,

And now I infuse my being with the knowing and feeling that all is well,

Right here where I am,

As God is good,

As God and I are one,

It means that right here where I am,

Good is.

It has to be,

It cannot be any other way.

So I love this step,

And this,

To me,

This step usually is a little bit,

It's the longest step,

Usually.

Gratitude and this one,

They are the longest steps.

And when we feel that we are done,

When we feel that we absolutely know that all that is true about God is also true about me,

Then we move on to the fifth step,

Which is Thanksgiving.

And Thanksgiving is different from the gratitude step in the way that gratitude,

The first step,

Aims to lift our vibration above and beyond conditions,

Above and beyond circumstances.

The Thanksgiving step,

The second to last step,

Is about us giving thanks for that which has transpired during this prayer.

So all the realizations,

All the insights that we have had,

All the revelations,

All the guidance that we have caught during the prayer,

We give thanks for it all,

For our consciousness having been expanded,

For our vibration having been lifted,

We give thanks for it.

We acknowledge and we recognize that something wonderful has happened during the prayer,

And that is what we're giving thanks for in the Thanksgiving step,

The fifth step.

And then the last step,

The sixth step,

Is about us releasing it all.

So something wonderful has happened,

We release it unto the law,

Knowing and feeling that it is already done.

All that we have established,

All that we have recognized,

All that we have acknowledged,

It is already done.

It's already manifested,

It's already done.

We need not make anything happen beyond the prayer,

But we have set something in motion and that something is now demonstrating and manifesting here in this dimension.

And I usually use the words,

I release it,

Knowing and feeling that it is already done,

And that that done-ness is now demonstrating,

Manifesting itself here in this dimension.

And then I move into Amen.

So it is,

So be it,

So shall it be,

Amen.

So this is the structure of the six-step spiritual mind treatment,

The affirmative prayer.

And just to sum it all up,

We've got the first step,

Which is gratitude.

The second step,

Recognition,

The third step,

Unification,

Fourth step,

Realization,

Fifth step,

Thanksgiving,

And the last and sixth step,

Release.

So I invite you to experiment,

To try it,

And you can print it out to have in front of you as you move into your own prayer.

You can tune into one of the Power of Prayer sessions and see if you can recognize the different steps.

And yeah,

That's all for now.

So thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you for tuning in,

For participating.

Until the next time,

I bless,

Bless,

Bless your day,

And I bless,

Bless,

Bless your way.

Namaste.
