What I call a spiritual need is a need that allows us to sustain our vibration, raise our vibration, and expand our consciousness. It is that which allows us to be in peace, joy, love, and harmony regardless of what is going on around us. When we tend to these needs, our lives flow beautifully, and when we don't, our lives become a matter of effort, struggle, and suffering. I invite you to join me as we explore what a spiritual need is and how to tend to it.

Blessings and welcome to the path to freedom.

My name is Daniel Roqueillo and as always I'm deeply grateful and honored that you're choosing to join me,

That you're choosing to participate in a moment of expanding our consciousness,

In a moment of raising your vibration through becoming more aware,

Through the exploration of that which is true and that which is real about that which serves us and does not serve us.

And so today's theme is tending to our spiritual needs.

And this is one of my favorite themes.

And for the purpose of this session let me define what I mean by spiritual need.

And a spiritual need is a need that when fulfilled,

When tended to,

It assists us in expanding our consciousness and to raise our vibration and to sustain our vibration.

And so as we're all unique and perfect individuals,

As we're all unique and perfect emanations of the One,

No one exactly alike as anyone else,

Our needs may be different.

Our spiritual needs may be different.

So what one person needs,

What one individual needs,

May not necessarily be the same as what another individual needs.

So it is for us,

Each and every single one of us,

To discern and to discover which our spiritual needs are.

But these,

When tended to,

Our lives flow.

As we,

Through tending to these needs,

Make ourselves open and available,

Place ourselves in a harmonious vibration,

Our lives take on a glow and a flow.

And so let me share my,

I have four spiritual needs.

But I need to tend to them.

And when I do,

My God,

How beautiful life becomes.

It just shimmers.

Life just shimmers when I tend to these needs.

And these are meditation,

Physical movement or exercise,

A space to be creative,

And a space to breathe or a space to just be.

So let me just break these down a little bit.

So meditation,

I need on a daily basis to put myself into stillness.

And meditation,

For those of you who are new to it,

Meditation is being fully present in the here and now,

In the nowness of this moment.

That's what meditation is.

And I need,

On a daily basis,

To create a space,

To have a space where all I'm doing is being fully present here and now.

So I can be sitting in informal meditation,

And that's what I'm choosing to do most days,

To fully be still and silent.

And if you've joined me in one of these,

The Wave meditation sessions,

You kind of get the idea of what meditation is for me,

What formal meditation is for me,

I should say.

But then there are days when I'm not able to,

When I don't have the space and I don't have the time to move into 30-minute formal meditation or 20-minute formal meditation.

And so,

Any way I can find to come back to the nowness of this moment,

Being fully present in the nowness of this moment,

That's what I'm leaning into.

So I can be driving and I can be totally aware.

As I'm driving,

I can look at each leaf on the trees that pass me by,

Or I can seek out individual blades of grass on the lawn,

Or branches,

Or whatever the case may be.

But I make it a point to come back to the nowness of this moment,

To be fully present in the nowness of this moment,

Every single day,

In some way or shape or form.

And I need to do it.

If I go without meditation for only a few days,

Something happens in my mind.

I get more reactive,

The joy begins to dissolve,

The harmony begins to dissolve,

And the ego begins to creep in,

Take over with its judgments and opinions and point of views and stories and all these things that the ego does.

So meditation is totally necessary for me to stay in a higher vibration,

To stay in an expanded consciousness.

And then we have physical movement.

And I need to move my body three,

Four,

Five times a week.

And I do something called N.

E.

A.

That's my primary mode of exercise.

And I'm going to be doing a session later on about N.

E.

A.

N.

E.

A.

Stands for neuromuscular integrated action or something like that.

It's a combination of martial arts and dance arts and healing arts.

And so that's what I need to do.

Others they go running or go to the gym or do yoga or do whatever they do.

But the body needs to be moved.

The body needs to get the energy flowing,

To get the juices flowing in the body,

For the body to stay healthy,

For the body to be the beautiful and loyal companion that it is meant to be,

To support us in our fulfilling our mission and being of service to the world.

So that's one of my spiritual needs.

And then I have the need that I call a creative space.

And that for me is a space and a place where I get to be creative,

Which is not necessarily the same as going to work.

I do a lot of things like recording these sessions.

They are a part of my livelihood,

But they are not the whole part of my livelihood.

Reading courses,

The podcast that I have.

A space for me to express me.

A space for me to express my uniqueness.

So it can be painting,

It can be writing,

It can be singing,

It can be playing music,

It can be crafting,

It can be whatever brings a smile to your face and whatever brings joy to your life.

That may be your creative space,

A space where we get to express our gifts and talents and abilities,

Where it's not about efforting,

It is not about producing,

It is not about accomplishing anything,

But it is merely being in a flow of joy.

Flow of joy that transcends time.

So that's what I mean by a creative space.

And then my last and final spiritual need is a space to just be.

Which is not the same as meditation,

But a space for me to sort of let my mind wander if that's what I feel inspired or compelled to do in that moment.

Many of these moments,

The way I tend to this particular need is by taking walks.

And preferably in nature,

Away from other human beings.

So I'm blessed with living in the countryside where I'm surrounded by fields and forests and a lake.

And that's where I go.

And while I'm taking these walks,

I'm sort of being with insights that I've caught.

I make myself open and available for guidance as to which path to take,

Which steps to take.

Or I just immerse myself in the beauty of nature.

Listen to the birds,

Watch the grass as it sways and the fields as the wind flows along them.

Look at the shimmery surface of the lake.

Just bask in the sun.

It is not about doing at all.

It is all about,

For me at least,

Coming back to what I feel inspired and compelled to do in that moment.

And that's what I do.

So it's not about accomplishing anything,

It's not about making anything happen,

It's just about being.

Being.

Being.

And so that's my invitation for all of us to explore and become aware of what we need,

What our spiritual needs are,

Which needs we have to stay in high vibration,

To sustain our vibration,

And make us open and available to go even higher,

Into an even higher vibration,

Into an even more expanded consciousness.

Alright so that was it for today.

Thank you so so much for tuning in,

For listening,

For participating.

I bless bless bless your day and I bless bless bless your way.

Namaste.
