Walking this Path to Freedom, to a large extent is about us reclaiming our minds to bring them to heal so that they don't just take off in whichever direction they "want" to. And just like it is hard work to train a wild dog to heel, training our minds is equally, if not even more difficult. Nonetheless, we need to do it or it won't get done. Join me as we explore a couple of powerful tools to help us reclaim our minds.

Blessings and welcome to the path to freedom,

This beautiful path that we get to walk,

Where we get to set ourselves free to soar,

To shine,

To glow,

Where we get to set ourselves free to forever allow for greater and grander expressions of who and what we are,

Where we get to set ourselves free to allow for the good that we wish to experience and way,

Way beyond to emerge,

To well up from within us,

To flow into our experience,

Where we get to set ourselves free from the small,

The limited,

The fierce,

The worst,

The doubts,

The sense of not being enough,

The sense of not having enough,

The sense of lack,

Scarcity,

A sense of separation from God,

From ourselves,

From the good that we wish to experience,

From a whole lot of things.

So this is a beautiful path,

This is a beautiful journey that we get to participate in,

Partake in,

And I'm very grateful that I get to be here,

That I get to be a vessel through which this benevolent loving presence expresses itself,

And I'm grateful that you are here,

Wherever you are and whoever you are,

Whenever you are,

Thank you so,

So much for tuning in,

For participating as we go ever deeper into this beautiful way of life that this really is.

These are principles that we are talking about,

These are tools,

These are practices that we are exploring,

But ultimately they all add up to a new way of life,

Where we,

Like the caterpillar,

That weaves itself into that cocoon,

That chrysalis,

Completely dissolves,

It actually dies to its littleness so that the butterfly may emerge,

And that is what this way of life is,

That we are continuously,

As we are becoming aware of,

As we are witnessing and observing the small and the limited,

The beliefs,

The perceptions,

The judgments,

The stories,

The perceptions,

The opinions,

The .

.

.

Nah.

As we are becoming aware of all of that which no longer serves,

In whichever form it takes,

We get to set ourselves free,

But,

And this is us coming up,

This is all leading up to the topic for this particular message for today,

Which is,

Reclaiming our minds is hard work.

Reclaiming our minds is hard work,

Because we have been given this beautiful,

Independent mind,

The gift of independent thinking,

Which allows us to turn our attention toward whatever we want to turn our attention to,

Which allows us to dwell on whatever we want to dwell on,

Which allows us to think back in time and think forward in time,

Which allows the mind to go wherever we want it to go,

And oftentimes it goes wherever it wants to go,

With no concern of whether or not it serves us,

With no concern of if we want to go there.

And if we want to remain sane,

If we want to claim our freedom,

We absolutely need to reclaim our minds.

And I say reclaim,

Because the mind has been trained.

The mind,

This is actually an analogy that came to me not too long ago,

As I was sharing my own personal experience,

As I'm moving through a space where the mind is incessantly,

Where it is frequently,

Where unceasingly venturing into time,

And more specifically into future moments,

As it is trying to figure out how to move forward,

As I am continuously in this beautiful space of expansion,

And I know that I've shared before that this is the most massive space of expansion,

This has been going on for months,

Months and months now,

Where so much of who I used to be,

So much of little Danny,

Is being released so that a new version of Daniel,

A new version of me may emerge.

And in this,

All the maps that I had,

That I used to have to navigate through life,

They are becoming obsolete,

They are becoming out of date,

They are becoming not redundant,

They are no longer working,

So new maps need to be drawn up,

Right?

And the mind is trying to do that,

The mind is trying to do that,

And so I was sharing my experiences with an individual,

And I heard myself say that the mind is like an untrained dog,

Or the mind is like a dog in general,

And in this particular experience of mine,

The mind is like an untrained dog,

And the work that I need to do,

And the work that we're all being called to do,

Is to train that dog,

So to train it to heal,

So to train it to not pull on the leash,

So to train it to stay put,

To go in the direction that we are going.

Like a very trained dog,

It just follows its master,

Without the master even having to say a word,

Because they have been in rigorous training,

They have been in very disciplined training for a long,

Long time,

So the dog has learned that it is the master that is the master.

The untrained dog,

It just runs off,

And I used to have one of those,

So I know.

So,

Just like training a dog,

Which is work,

It takes a lot,

A lot,

A lot of time and commitment and dedication on both parts,

It's not only the master,

But the dog needs to be on board with it as well,

If the dog is not interested,

Perhaps it'll eventually learn something,

But it needs to enjoy it,

That was a sidetrack,

But just like training a dog,

We need to train our minds to stay put.

We need to train our minds to not venture into time,

To not venture into projecting or buying into the ego's projections of doom and gloom,

Of worst case scenarios,

Of what could go wrong,

And what if this doesn't work,

And all these things that the ego projects and blasts into our consciousness.

So we need to train our minds to stay here,

In this now moment,

To turn its attention toward the good that is here,

The good that we wish to experience,

To all the good that is fully present in every single moment.

We need to train our minds to stay in the high vibrations,

To stay in the feeling tone that all is well,

Not run off into fantasyland about what could go wrong,

But come back to here and now,

And this is rigorous work,

This is hard,

Hard work,

This is hard,

Hard work.

One of my favorite tools,

And there are a couple that I want to bring up in this message,

But one of my favorite tools is coming back to the breath,

And I've received feedback over these last couple of months,

And I've caught it myself,

That as that is my number one practice,

How come I'm not incorporating it into these talks and messages?

And I have obviously no good answers to that.

I don't want to shoot on myself,

But it definitely should be included in these messages.

So starting now,

This is my intention,

Starting now,

As I'm recording these,

To the best of my ability,

As often as I can remember,

I want to include and incorporate that one practice,

Coming back to the breath.

So let us just in this moment,

Just stop,

Whatever it is that we're doing,

Just stop.

If we are driving,

Obviously we cannot just close our eyes and stop driving,

But let us in this now moment,

In whichever way we are able to,

Just come back to the breath,

Just take a deep breath,

Conscious breath,

Breathing in and breathing out,

And I don't know about you,

But there's an immediate sense of relief within me,

There's an immediate release of tension within me.

So coming back to the breath is such a beautiful way of reclaiming our minds,

Such a powerful tool that we can lean into,

Because what happens when we lean into the breath?

What happens is that whatever we have been hijacked by,

Whatever story or belief or time projection or memory that we have been held hostage by,

As we come back to the breath,

The breath is a beautiful portal into the nowness of this moment,

Into the eternal moment.

So coming back to the breath,

We release that attachment,

We set ourselves free.

It doesn't mean that we don't experience whatever it is that we were experiencing,

But we are no longer attached to it,

But we are witnessing and observing it from a distance,

From afar.

And so we have now reclaimed our mind,

And we can now,

From this space of being non-attached,

From this space of being non-identified with whatever content we previously were attached to or identified with,

We now get to choose where to turn our attention.

We now get to choose which choice to make.

We're not run by the content,

We're not run by the thoughts,

We're not run by the emotions,

But we're free of them.

We're free of them.

So coming back to the breath as often as possible,

Like if we can do it a hundred times every single day,

That will completely shift our vibration,

That will completely expand our consciousness,

That will completely shift the direction in which we're moving.

Because now we're not moving as mindless drones,

But now we're moving as conscious participants fully able to make conscious choices in our lives,

Because we are fully grounded,

Anchored,

And centered in the nowness of this moment.

So coming back to the breath,

Let's do that again.

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Releasing.

One more time.

Breathing in,

Being conscious of the breath,

We don't even need to make the breathing happen,

But just being aware,

Just witnessing and observing the breath as it happens.

There's an immediate reset.

An immediate release.

So that's one way to reclaim our minds,

And we want to do it,

We want to use as many of our moments in between to come back to the breath,

To be with the breath.

When we're out walking,

Even when we're on the phone or talking to someone,

When we are watching Netflix or a series or a movie,

When we are out biking,

When we are out hiking,

When we are waiting,

Waiting in line,

Waiting for someone,

When we're on the bus,

When we're in our cars,

We want to practice conscious breathing,

Being with the breath.

And then the second part,

And this is the first stage of reclaiming our minds,

Coming back to the nowness of this moment,

Releasing our attachments to that which is.

And then the second aspect,

The second stage,

And these are not linear in that way,

But for the purpose of this conversation,

I make them linear,

But another,

So let's go at it from But another,

So let's go at it from another angle,

Another stage,

Another tool that we can lean into is to really program our minds,

To program our attention,

To look for what we wish to experience.

And what I'm leaving heavenly and heavily,

I'm leaving heavenly and heavily into my prayer journal right now,

Because the mind is sort of set on the doom and gloom,

On the worst case scenarios.

I'm experiencing a lot of what if it doesn't work out,

What if this happens,

And what if that happens,

And that if,

And that that,

It is not the good that I wish to experience,

But it's the opposite of it.

So I'm in need of really bringing the mind to leash,

Bringing the mind to heal,

To stay put here now,

To stay put dwelling,

Turning its attention toward the good that I wish to experience.

So the prayer journal is such a powerful tool allowing us to do that.

A prayer journal is basically what it sounds like.

It's a journal,

It can be a notepad,

It can be a square pad,

It can be whatever,

But a piece of paper,

And we obviously need a pen,

And then we just write.

Write about the good that we wish to experience.

And as in my case,

I write about the expansion that is taking place,

The implications of this expansion.

I write about the visions that I have for my life.

I'm not attaching myself to any particular outcome,

But I still want to train my mind to dwell on that.

I still want to train my attention muscle to lean into,

To turn toward the good that is flowing into my life,

The highest possibility as I'm catching it.

So I'm leaning into my prayer journal,

And I'm actually amping up this particular tool.

I used to lean into it once a day,

Now I just caught a few days ago that I need to expand on that,

Because the mind,

This is like a tug of war,

This wild dog,

This untrained dog that is the mind,

Left to its own,

It would run completely havoc,

It would run completely amok,

Going in whichever direction.

So I've set the intention for myself that three times a day,

Is what is needed for me to heal the mind,

To reclaim mastery over my mind.

This is not forever,

Or maybe it is,

Maybe a new habit,

A new practice is being cultivated here,

I don't know.

But this is what I'm sensing for myself.

Because consciousness always precedes form,

Right?

We've talked about that so many times,

Whatever we turn our attention to the most,

Whatever we think about the most,

Whatever we talk about the most,

Whatever we feel about the most,

That is what we're calling forth into our experience.

So for the visions and intentions that I have for my life,

For the next iterations,

For this expansion that is happening,

For it to flow into my life,

Into my experience with ease and grace,

I need to be open and available for it.

I need to be able to receive it.

And we cannot receive it unless we are in alignment with it,

Unless we are in vibrational alignment with it,

Unless we have the feeling tone that it is possible,

It is happening now,

It is already done.

The attention goes to whatever is suggested.

So there's evidence of this not happening in my life right now,

Or actually it's not evidence that it is not happening,

But there's a space,

A movement through space where the evidence of it happening is seemingly missing,

Seemingly lacking.

And the mind just goes to that.

It goes toward what I currently don't have,

What seems to be missing,

What seems to be lacking.

So there's a gorge of separation that is opening up.

And so I need to do the work,

We need to do the work of bringing the mind to heal.

So coming back to the breath,

Let's do that again.

Having that beautiful moment of resetting,

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Consciously witnessing and observing the breath as it happens,

And then leaning into some sort of affirmation,

Prayer,

Whatnot,

That soothes the mind,

That brings us into the feel,

That moves us into the feeling tone that all is well now,

That something wonderful is happening now,

That everything is working for our highest good,

That we are abundantly provided for,

That we are blessed beyond imagination,

Whatever.

But we need to stay in this high vibration,

And this is hard work,

There is no going around it,

There are no shortcuts,

There is no one and done thing.

Whereas an individual that I've had the pleasure of meeting with on a weekly basis these last few weeks,

I love how he says that this is no slam dunk,

This is no slam dunk,

This is work,

Continuous,

Repetitive,

Regular,

Consistent work,

Over and over and over again.

Whatever tools we lean into,

We need to lean into them,

We need to make them a practice,

We need to make them habitual.

Coming back to the breath,

Affirming,

Leaning into our prayer journals,

Whatnot.

We need to sustain our high vibration,

We need to stay in a high vibration.

We do not need to do it by ourselves,

We can always ask for help,

We can always lean into this benevolent loving presence that we are always living,

Moving,

And having our beingness in absolute oneness with,

But we need to do it.

If we don't do it,

It's not going to get done.

So we need to do it,

We need to cultivate the discipline,

We need to cultivate the strength.

The commitment,

Hold ourselves accountable for doing what needs to be done.

So the invitation for us is to become aware of where our minds habitually are roaming,

Where are they going,

Where is our attention flowing,

And the question that we can ask ourselves is,

Is this serving me?

What I'm turning my attention to now,

Where my attention habitually goes,

Is this serving me?

Is this in alignment with what I wish to experience?

And if it is not,

Then the second part of the invitation is for us to cultivate a practice that allows us to stay in a high vibration,

That allows us,

As Jesus said,

To be of good cheer,

That allows us to relax,

Rejoice,

And simply let the good that we wish to experience flow into our lives.

No need to try to make it happen,

No need to try to coerce or compete,

No need to force or hurry up,

To micromanage,

No need for any of that.

Simply,

As consciousness always precedes form,

We want to relax,

We want to rejoice,

We want to simply let it be.

But what are practices that we can cultivate to allow ourselves to be in that space,

To be in that receiving mode?

So those are the invitations and the questions.

Thank you so so much,

As always,

For tuning in,

For participating.

If this resonates with you,

I invite you to share it with anyone who you feel might benefit from hearing this.

And until we meet again,

As always,

I bless,

Bless,

Bless our days,

And I bless,

Bless,

Bless our ways,

In the full knowing that all is well,

That something wonderful is always happening,

That everything is working for our highest good,

In the full knowing the perfect preparation and unfolding is always happening,

And with much love and many blessings.

Namaste.
