Are We Practicing Enough?
It has been said that the quality of our lives is directly related to our level of practice. What this means is that if we want to experience everlasting peace, joy, harmony, love, and abundance, then we need to build a solid practice that will serve and support this. Many of us are not having such solid practice, which explains why we are so easily pulled into drama, opinions, judgments, fears, worries, and doubts. I invite you to join me as we explore how we can expand our practice.

Blessings and welcome to the path to freedom.
My name is Daniel Rocchio and as always I'm very grateful and honored that you're choosing to join me in a moment of once again expanding our consciousness and once again raising our vibration through introspection,
Through looking at ourselves,
Through becoming aware of where we are in consciousness.
Today we're turning our attention toward our level of practice.
So the topic for today is,
Are we practicing enough?
Are we practicing enough?
And I was having a conversation,
A beautiful conversation with an individual a few days ago and this individual shared that she has a beautiful and very powerful morning practice with some meditation,
Some reading and some other exercises and things that she does in the morning and then she goes off to work.
And as she's leaving her or as she's entering out of her morning routine,
She feels very inspired,
She feels very luminescent,
Very luminous,
She feels very peaceful and very expanded.
She leaves her morning routine in a very high vibration and then she goes off to work and throughout her days or throughout her day,
That high vibration sort of sinks and that very expanded and loving consciousness contracts.
And I asked her,
First of all I shared with her that even while it's beautiful and very powerful to have that morning routine,
To have that practice of being in meditation for about 30 minutes every morning and doing some sacred reading and doing some other things that she does,
Even though that's very powerful and very magnificent,
We need to have a sustained practice,
A practice that sustains our high vibration,
A practice that sustains our expanded consciousness as we move through the day.
She was describing being in conversations and hearing herself say things that she does not resonate with at all.
Becoming aware of her showing up in the world in a way that she does not want to show up.
But because there is such a lapse in her practice,
In where she spends about an hour every morning and then has no practice really until the next morning,
The momentum that is built,
The expansion that is allowed through the morning practice,
It wears off.
So I asked her what her practice during the day was and she said that sometimes in between meetings or sometimes when she has some time over,
She might pick up a book and do some sacred reading.
But other than that,
She has no practice.
And so we got to talk and that's the invitation for all of us.
So I was able to share with her that if she wants to be in a perpetual state of peace or ever expanding state of peace,
If she wants to be truly free of not having the world touch her,
Not being pulled into other individuals' stories and beliefs and their dramas and all of that,
She needs to find a way to do two things.
She needs to find a way to first come back to the nowness of this moment where she can be in the world,
When she can listen to the dramas and the stories and the fears and the worries and doubts,
Where she can be in a space with individuals who are not on this path,
With individuals who are having their attention so turned on surface appearances that whatever the media says becomes their truth,
Their inner reality.
Where she can engage in conversations with individuals that are perhaps not as high in their vibration,
That perhaps are not as expanded in their consciousness,
That does not realize that they have a choice,
That they can choose peace,
That they can choose happiness,
That they can choose joy,
That they can choose abundance,
That they can choose all these beautiful qualities,
But believe that they're a victim of circumstances.
So the one thing she needs,
And this goes for all of us,
This is not only about her,
This goes for all of us,
So let's bring it to us.
So the one thing we need to do is find a way to sustain our being anchored and grounded in the nowness of this moment,
Not only in meditation,
But all through our days.
The second thing we need to do is to find a way to be in conscious communion with Spirit.
If we want to call it God,
If we want to call it the universe,
If we want to call it the infinite life,
Or infinite intelligence,
Or divine matrix,
Or unified field,
Or higher power,
Or whatever we want to call it.
But those two are the fundament.
They are the basis for ever-expanding peace.
They are the basis for ever-expanding love,
Ever-expanding joy,
Ever-expanding all of these.
They are the basis of freedom.
So I was able to invite her to,
All through her days,
Pick two ways,
Two practices,
Two techniques that allows her to come back to the nowness of this moment,
To step out of time,
Out of past and present and future.
Not only when the crap hits the fan.
Not only when there's an emergency,
But in between these spaces where there perhaps is a lot of things going on in the mind.
Before she gets pulled into,
And before we get pulled into,
Dramas and stories and beliefs,
Find a way to come back to the nowness of this moment.
And also find a way to consistently,
Continuously,
Repeatedly have a conscious communion with Spirit.
For me,
I have different ways of doing this.
What has evolved during these last month or so,
Is the simple practice of saying thank you God.
In the midst of cooking,
In the midst of just looking out the window,
In the midst of,
You know,
Doing whatever I'm doing,
I lean into thank you God.
Thank you God that I have the eyes to see these beautiful flowers.
Thank you God that I get to be your loving and humble servant and instrument.
Thank you God that I get to be on this path.
Thank you God that my body is working so magnificently for the health that I enjoy,
For the love that I enjoy.
Thank you God for the abundance that we have.
Or simply,
Thank you God.
And both of these,
Or actually this practice,
It accomplishes both of these objectives.
It brings me back to the nowness of this moment.
So when I hear myself say the word or think the words,
Thank you God,
That brings me out of whatever I was intellectually engaged in.
They bring me back to the nowness of this moment.
And also,
Thank you God turns my attention or opens me up for that sacred communion.
A good way to.
.
.
Because this individual,
She was also asking,
How do I know if my practice is enough?
A good way to measure is obviously,
Are we in peace?
Are we in joy?
Are we in love?
Are we experiencing freedom?
If we are,
If this is perpetual,
If we are immune to the world's goings and happenings and the fear and the worry and the doubt and the low vibrations,
If we can stay in the world but not of the world,
If we can stay in peace even when there's turmoil,
If we can stay in joy even when there's upsetness,
If we can stay in love even when there's something different than love being expressed or revealed,
Then our practice is solid.
If we do get pulled into our own stories,
Other individual stories,
Then that indicates that we have an opportunity to expand our practice.
Someone once said that the level of quality that we have in our lives is directly related to our level of practice.
We need to have a practice that absolutely serves us.
We need to have a practice that allows for us to be in that sustained high vibration that allows for us to,
That sort of inoculates us from being pulled into past hurts or future projections,
That inoculates us from being pulled into other individuals' dramas and stories and beliefs and perceptions and judgments and opinions and all of these things.
This is our responsibility.
It's to the best of our ability and there's nothing serious about this.
We want to take it serious but there's nothing serious about it.
So we don't need to be Grinch-like just because we are being called to practice,
Just because we're being called to expand.
But we want to make sure that our practice,
Actually that our level of practice,
That it serves us.
There's always,
There's always room for expansion and we want to appreciate that offering to go into a deeper level of practice.
And when I'm talking about practice,
I'm talking about all the tools that we have in our toolbox.
Yes I am speaking about meditation.
Yes I am speaking about prayer.
Yes I am speaking about finding ways to come back to the nowness of this moment.
Yes I am speaking about sacred readings.
Yes I am speaking about affirmations.
Yes I am speaking about sacred study or hanging out in high fellowship.
Gratitude,
Appreciation,
Forgiveness,
All of these.
But we need to have a solid,
Consistent and regular practice that absolutely serves us so that we can be the beneficial presences that we are here to be.
So that we can be the luminous beings of light,
Those beacons of light.
So that we can be an embodiment of love,
Even in the midst of something else being expressed.
So that we can serve the world and the highest possibility for this world.
So we want to be mindful of our practice and we're always,
Whenever we do get pulled into dramas or fantasies or stories,
That is an invitation from spirit for us to go deeper into our practice.
And I know that the ego is going to protest and I know that the ego is going to try to make us believe that we don't have time,
That this is not the time to go into meditation.
This is not the time to take that breath or this is not the time to say thank you.
This is not the time to whatever the case may be.
It's the ego when it keeps us busy,
Busy,
Busy,
Busy.
But is it serving us?
Is it serving peace?
Is it serving love?
Is it serving joy?
Is it serving abundance?
Is it serving wholeness?
If not,
We might want to take a look at our level of practice.
We might want to say yes and thank you to that invitation to go deeper and wider and higher.
That is our invitation today.
To ask the question,
Are we practicing enough or can I grow?
Can I allow it to expand in some way?
Thank you so,
So much for tuning in,
For participating,
For joining me.
Until we meet again,
I absolutely bless,
Bless,
Bless all of our days and I bless,
Bless,
Bless all of our ways.
With much love,
Many blessings.
Namaste.
