Welcome,
Thank you for being here.
We're going to start our practice by bringing ourselves into a comfortable posture,
A posture that brings ease into the body and at the same time supports you to stay awake.
You might check for yourself in this moment,
Acknowledging the state of my body in this moment,
What is a posture that can bring ease,
Comfort and at the same time supports me to be awake.
And to do so you could make some gentle movements with your shoulders,
Your neck,
Or whatever any other movement that feels right for you in this moment.
You can close your eyes or simply lower the gaze.
We're bringing softness into our face by allowing our eyes to rest and start to connect now with your breath,
Taking a few long deep breaths here.
Inhaling deeply and exhaling,
Releasing.
Keep your own rhythm,
Inhaling deeply,
Exhaling softly.
It might be that as you bring your attention inwards,
As you come in contact with the movement of your breath,
With your body,
It might be that you also encounter places of tension or tightness and see if they can be easily released without forcing.
Just that moment of allowing those tensions or tightness to become soft.
You might try bringing the breath to this area,
Inhaling,
Contacting the tightness or the tension and as you exhale,
Invite softness,
Release.
Softening into the present moment.
Allowing the breath to go back to its natural rhythm slowly,
If it hasn't done so yet.
Letting the breath be natural.
And now I invite you to check once more your posture,
See if your shoulders are resting,
Letting them rest effortlessly,
Your arms,
Your hands.
And notice how it feels to invite a sense of relaxation into your body.
From here,
See what happens if you bring the image of a smile into your eyes.
Maybe a smile that covers your eyes,
As if you are smiling through your eyes.
And notice the effect that has on you.
Bringing now that smile into your mouth,
To the inside of your mouth.
And once again,
Notice the effect it has in you.
Letting that smile now rest on your heart,
As if you are smiling through your heart.
And also,
Notice what effect it has within you.
From here,
Pausing for a moment with this sense of ease,
Relaxation,
An inner smile.
And perhaps connect with the intention to bring these qualities with you,
To accompany you moment by moment.
Slowly coming to the end of our practice.
Thank you for practicing with me.
May you be well.
