Welcome,
Thank you for being here I'm going to share a short practice that is going to take us through three short steps one is pause pause wherever you are the second step is soften and the third step is open so,
Wherever you are,
Pause pause as in establish presence within yourself collect your attention bring your attention to this present moment to your senses wherever you are,
Look around take in what you see and turn the attention inward now it might be just enough to lower your gaze you don't need to close your eyes but you can choose to do so if you want to and bringing that attention inwards take a few moments to connect with your breath it can be through a few intentional breaths just inhaling more deeply and exhaling softly,
Slowly so from here we go into softening it might be that just by bringing the attention inwards you notice how there is a sense of tensing up or tightness we spend a lot of our days or a lot of people,
Including myself spend a lot of the time tight,
Tense so here I invite you to soften a little bit inviting a sense of ease into your body and mind perhaps focusing on that wave of the exhale a natural exhale that invites release,
Letting go you might try out also bringing a smile an inner smile to your lips to the space between your eyebrows and letting that smile soften your face and now open yourself open yourself to your inner life with curiosity what is happening in this moment within you?
Notice your experience allow mindful presence and non-judging presence to arise you might notice that what is present is a very active mind a sense of restlessness in the body a sense of ease and stillness whatever it is that is manifesting your experience in this moment try setting the intention to be open to it and whenever you feel the need,
Soften a little bit more I hope this short pause was helpful to bring a sense of ease into your mind and heart
