Stress and worry can manifest in many ways. Stress affects all that lives within us- from muscles to hormones to skin. Racing thoughts, mental fatigue and muscular stiffness are some of the most common complaints. Many facial issues stem from stress- acne, eczema, clenching jaws, and premature ageing to name a few. We'll start with some meditation that will help you to relax your face muscles and erasing thoughts.

So,

Let's just find a very comfortable seated position.

And just feel like your feet are touching the ground and your hips are heavy on a chair,

Shoulders away from the ears and your hands are on top of your thighs.

Your chin is slightly tucked in towards the chest and you can start closing your eyes and breathing.

Just notice your breath coming in and out through your nose.

Breathing in fresh air and breathing out all the tension and heaviness in your body and in your mind.

Feel like your air is traveling quite easy and flowing inside and outside of your body.

And just notice on every inhale your stomach gently lifts,

Your chest expands,

Your lungs expands and on every exhale shoulders are dropping down away from your ears,

Your lungs become empty and your stomach draws in towards your spine.

Just breathe at your own pace,

Making every inhale and every exhale a little bit longer than the previous one.

And keep breathing like so,

But we're gonna gently shift our attention to our face now.

Anything from the forehead,

Smooth out any unwanted lines,

Expressions or thoughts from your forehead and beyond the forehead.

If you have any racing thoughts just push them a little bit away into the corner and create a light and bigger space in your head.

Soften your forehead,

Soften the space in between the eyebrows.

Now we're gonna shift our attention to the eyes.

So feel like the eyelids are covering tightly your eyes.

Relax your eyelids,

Relax your eyeballs.

You don't need to look for anything or see anything.

Let your eyes to relax.

Now relax your cheeks.

Relax on your jaw and you can do that by dropping your lower jaw down,

Creating a little bit of space in between the teeth.

You can keep your lips closed.

Relax your tongue at the bottom of your mouth.

There's nothing to see.

Feel like your upper and lower part of the face are heavy and soft at the same time.

Relax your ears.

Relax your throat and your neck.

Your whole head and face is relaxed.

The bridge that connects the head and the body,

Which is the neck,

Also relaxed.

Your body is relaxed.

Most importantly,

Your mind is free from constant thinking.

Just stay within this feeling of total relaxation.

If you're experiencing this total relaxation and freedom,

Just enjoy this moment as your body enjoys this moment too.

We'll stay here for a minute in silence.

Every organ,

Every cell of your body are now relaxed.

Let's make the next three breaths the deepest.

And let's start to get back to the space we are now.

Just maybe,

First of all,

Feeling without opening your eyes,

Feeling the air that surrounds you.

Maybe the noise,

The slightest of noise.

Feeling like your feet are touching the ground and your hands are touching your legs.

Slowly move your fingers,

Move your toes,

And maybe move your head to side to side.

Let's just rub your palms of hands together vigorously to create some warmth.

And now take the palms of your hands in towards your face.

You don't need to touch your face,

But just be very close with your hands.

Feel the warmth.

Release your hands on top of your knees.

Let's just pay a little bit of gratitude towards ourselves for taking this time and relaxing our face,

Not only faces,

But body and mind.

They are all connected.

That's one of the reasons and philosophy of yoga is to connect body and mind.

And you can open your eyes when you're ready,

Or you may want to stay longer.

And thank you so much for taking this time and sharing this minutes with me and enjoy the rest of the day wherever you are.
