Coming Back To Your Center
by Dana Damara
Take a moment to reclaim the moments in your day, when you've given your energy away. This happens many times a day - most often in ways we don't notice - and then we end up feeling depleted. Come back to your center and feel rejuvenated.

Hey there,
Welcome.
My name is Dana Demara.
I want to thank you for pausing in your day,
Maybe even before it begins to come back to your center,
To your source.
I find the power of meditation is pretty much a non-negotiable for me.
You know,
Meditation isn't just about sitting still for a long time.
That's the practice of meditation.
The intention of meditation is to be able to be still in as many moments as possible throughout our day.
And sometimes that can be pretty impossible when we move about our day with so many things to do and so many people to be responsible to and maybe even just waking up with that list of things that need to get done.
So what I want to do is support you in taking all of those pieces of yourself that are already strewn about through your thoughts,
Making that mental list of things you need to do,
Or physically have been giving yourself to other people throughout your day.
So this is a meditation that can be practiced in the morning and at night.
It's important for us to remember that being in relationship and giving of ourself is part of this human existence.
It's very important.
But it's also important for us to remember to come back to center.
So this meditation hopefully will support you in that.
So I'm going to invite you to find a comfortable seat and just make a space for yourself where you won't be disturbed.
Maybe light a candle or if you have an altar,
Have a seat at your altar or even just sit outside.
You don't need to create an elaborate space just to meditate.
Sometimes we think,
Well,
I can't meditate because I have to have this and that and this and that.
The reality is you need to have nothing,
Just one single breath.
So let's go there.
Find a comfortable seat and take a few deep breaths in through your nose and exhale out through your mouth.
So I like to do that three times.
So it sounds like this.
And it may even sound like this.
Maybe even move around in your jaw.
Sometimes when I'm thinking too much,
I'll take my fingers and just kind of rub my third eye and try to get that furrowed brow off my face because that frontal lobe is processing 90,
000 thoughts a day.
So I'm just going to try to calm that space down.
And honestly,
I like to use a little dab of frankincense or sandalwood when I'm meditating.
A simple little acknowledgement of movement away from that space is good enough.
And then once you've taken those three deep breaths,
Find a sense of stillness and peace in the body.
The internal drishti will spin behind the eyes down into the heart.
Allow yourself to just be carried with your breath.
So allow this cadence to dictate the rhythm of your entire being.
So the thoughts slow down and dissolve.
The whole body relaxes.
And whether you've been busy throughout your day and spread yourself thin,
And you're coming back to center before you get to the top of your head,
Or you're just waking up and your thoughts are already going,
I invite you to notice those thoughts for a moment.
And just notice how that energy that you've cast out either in thought or experience or conversation,
That energy that you've cast out in thought or experience,
Conversation,
Or social media engagement has taken a piece of you.
The minute you pick up that phone and engage,
You've given a piece of yourself away.
So we're consistently giving ourself away.
And just notice all those moments.
Don't judge them.
Just notice them.
The conversations you had on the phone,
In email,
The list running through your mind.
Just notice them.
Let them all be on display so that you can acknowledge them.
And let them all sit at your feet.
And allow your body to completely rest with the acknowledgement of all of these spaces where you have given yourself away.
No need to go into the story or the emotions behind it.
We'll save that for another meditation.
Instead,
Just truly allow yourself to notice the moments where you've given it away.
That energy that we give away tends to deplete us mentally,
Emotionally,
Physically,
Energetically,
Spiritually.
And so,
As you're giving yourself away,
You're going to notice that you've given yourself away.
And you're going to notice that you've given yourself away.
So just really allow yourself to be with the breath for a moment.
And let all of those things sit on the peripheral of your being.
Let the breath get a little bit deeper.
Fill up the lungs,
The heart,
The internal organs,
The bones,
The nerves,
The nerves,
And let the breath get a little bit deeper.
And let all of those things sit on the peripheral of your being.
Let the breath get a little bit deeper.
Fill up the lungs,
The heart,
The internal organs,
The bones,
The nervous system,
The cells.
And then allow your breath to become a filling mechanism,
A refueling mechanism,
If you will.
So I like to imagine my breath is this color.
It's like a mauve.
It's a mauve magenta.
It's like a light pink purple.
And every time I breathe in,
I pull in that color,
And it fills these spaces that I've created by giving things away,
Giving of myself.
And then every time I exhale,
I send that same color out to the peripheral,
To the experiences,
To the people that I've given that space to.
So I pull in the color,
Pull in that color.
You can choose whatever color you want,
Whatever color comes to you.
Fill up those little holes,
Those little spaces,
And the thoughts.
And then exhale in any residual,
Just send it out as if there was this space between you and where you put your energy out.
And every time you breathe in,
You fill those spaces.
With a color,
With a breath,
With source.
This color energetically is of the higher heart.
It's also considered a higher third eye.
So allow your space to be filled with the light and the light.
And then finally,
The third eye.
So allow your space to be filled with breath,
With color.
So you don't have to feel bad about sending that energy out.
You're actually feeding that energy with residual love,
Grace,
Acknowledgement,
Gratitude.
And you'll keep with this process of just breathing as deeply as you can into all the spaces.
And you'll notice that the mind will begin to wander,
But the magic of the breath is that every time you breathe in and out,
You come back to that breath.
You come back to that filling up of your space.
You'll stay here as long as you would like,
Or as long as you need.
Reminding yourself that you have this beautiful breath.
What will happen over time is that you'll be able to find this breath before you give those pieces of yourself away.
And you'll acknowledge if those moments in time support this energy of complete wholeness and inner peace.
So stay here in the breath.
Feel free to pause the recording if you want to sit longer.
I want to thank you for taking the time out for yourself.
It's imperative for physical well-being,
For mental clarity,
Expansion of the heart and compassion,
Really just to be aware of that connection you have to God,
To source,
To divine.
So I want to thank you.
Please feel free to reach out to me.
If you would like to talk about meditation or yoga or anything at all,
I'd love to hear about your experience and potentially how this has supported you.
And please feel free to share with anyone that you feel could be supported by this meditation.
Thank you so much.
Have such a beautiful,
Beautiful day and great night's sleep.
Namaste.
