Full moons are a time to let go of the things in our lives that no longer serve us. This meditation is a tool to reflect on the last 28 days and take note of what we want to keep and what we are ready to release in the next lunar cycle. You are welcome to use this meditation at any point during the month to help illuminate and release.

Hello and welcome to a full moon meditation.

Full moons happen at the end or completion of the lunar cycle.

It is when the moon has moved in its orbit so that the earth is in between the moon and the sun.

Because of this,

Full moons are known for releasing or completion.

This is the time to let go of the things in our lives that no longer serve us.

Even though the full moon comes at the end of a cycle,

A rhythm that we may become familiar with,

You are welcome to use this meditation at any point during the lunar cycle to help illuminate and release.

I invite you now to get into a comfortable position,

Whether that is seated or laying down,

Finding what is accessible to your body today.

Rounding your sit bones,

Lengthening your spine.

You can keep your eyes closed or leave them open with a soft gaze.

You can begin to deepen your breath here,

Offering a moment of peace for your body and your mind.

It may help to feel the sensation as the air comes in and out of your nose,

Noticing the change in temperature.

It may be helpful to notice the sensations of your belly rising and falling with each cycle.

Having settled into your body and mind,

You can begin to reflect on the last 28 days.

Allow yourself to fully feel what is coming up in your emotional and physical body.

Some of these emotions,

Some of these physical feelings may be pleasant,

Others may not be,

And that's okay.

I remind you that you are safe within your mind and you are safe within this practice.

Often in our meditations,

These sensations come up,

Our mind may wander,

And that is a part of the process.

If that does happen,

All you have to do is return back to your breath,

Turn back to the sensations in your body without judgment,

Anger,

Questions,

Just letting it be.

Noticing the cycles of your inhale and exhale is all that you have to do right now.

Reflecting on these last 28 days,

I'll invite you to think of three things that you're ready to let go of.

Three things that no longer serve you emotionally,

Physically,

Mentally.

Next,

You can think of three things that made you feel proud this month.

Three things that you would like to nurture for this next lunar cycle.

Holding on to this knowledge that you've required within this last month,

That is held in your muscles,

In your bones,

In your mind.

You can thank your body,

Thank your mind for all that it does for you.

You can thank yourself for this opportunity of peace,

For this exact moment of time.

You can deepen your breath once more as this meditation begins to come to a close.

Start to allow the light in,

The sounds in your environment.

May you feel nice to invite some movement back into your body.

Slowly open up your eyes,

Take note to the sensations that you felt before this meditation as you're coming out of it.

Thank you for sharing this space with me.

May you find what you're looking for in this next lunar cycle.
