This is a Human Design exercise called a "sacral calibration" that helps connect one to their sacral center: their primal intuition, gut response, or authentic "yes" and "no." This involves allowing quick guttural sounds and gestures to emerge in response to a series of quickly posed yes and no questions. This exercise can be used sporadically, daily, or even multiple times a day to help get in touch with one's desires, truth, and embodied self-awareness. (Skip to 2:57 to dive right into the questions.)

I'm going to lead you through an exercise that in the framework of human design is called a sacral calibration.

The intention for this exercise is to help you turn on,

Tap into,

And become aware of your sacral center,

Also known as your gut or the seat of your primal intuition.

The way the exercise works is that I'm going to ask you in quick succession a list of yes or no questions,

And your job is to answer those questions out loud in the affirmative or the negative without using the words yes or no,

But simply by making guttural sounds.

For example,

You could say yes by going uh-huh and nodding your head,

Or going mm-hmm and wiggling your chest.

Your yes could sound like ooh,

And your no could sound like ugh,

Uh-uh,

Mm-mm.

The trick here is to tap into your animal instincts,

And it's not about answering the questions right or wrong,

Or even necessarily truthfully,

As the mind might want to label your answers true or false,

Accurate or inaccurate.

Rather,

You want to just allow a sound,

A gesture,

A feeling to emerge affirming or denying the statement.

Don't overthink it,

Be quick,

And allow sound to move from your body.

The questions might bring up different feelings.

You might feel humorous,

You might feel uncomfortable.

Just know that they're going to move quickly,

And you don't have to overthink,

Just allow sound to move out of your body.

Again,

This is with the aim of tapping into your sacral center,

Becoming a little bit more embodied,

And from there,

Moving into your day or evening more connected to yourself and able to recognize what is energizing you,

What is draining you,

And where you feel yes and where you feel no in response to all that life is presenting to you.

Okay,

Prepare yourself to make sounds in response to these questions.

Are you standing up?

Are you sitting down?

Do you like pineapple on pizza?

Can you whistle?

Do you believe that unicorns exist?

Are you an extrovert?

Are you an introvert?

Do you like the color pink?

Are you thirsty?

Do you like thunderstorms?

Do you feel any emotions in your body right now?

Are you 48 years old?

Are you proud of yourself?

Do you need more alone time?

Do you need more social time?

Are you having fun with these questions?

Are french fries made from potatoes?

Do spirits walk among us?

Do you love yourself?

Do you like yourself?

Have you listened to music today?

Are you wearing black right now?

Are you 5 years old?

Are you tired?

Do you have a lot of energy?

Is there something red in your field of vision?

Do you know how to swim?

Are you ready to take a leap of faith?

Have you danced today?

Are you 17 years old?

Are you holding your phone right now?

Is it possible for something to be both true and false at the same time?

Are you outside?

Do you want to be outside?

Can you wiggle your eyebrows?

Are you hungry?

Do you wish you had cooler friends?

Is it raining right now?

Are you 29 years old?

Are you annoyed by these questions?

Do you enjoy learning about history and past events?

Do you have a crush on someone?

Did you sweat today?

Do you feel healthy and vital?

Do you like to sing?

Are you 1000 years old?

Are you excited about anything coming up this week?

Can you see anything green around you right now?

Do you wish it was a different season?

Have you ever told a lie?

Are your nails painted?

Do you want to cry?

Are you craving something sweet?

Have you laughed today?

Are you feeling more in touch with your sacral?

Let's take a few minutes here to take a deep breath,

Exhale,

And another deep breath,

Prolonging the exhale.

Whatever you're feeling now,

Whatever emotions are moving through you,

Thoughts,

Feelings,

Can you allow them to be present without needing to judge them?

And instead,

Practice remaining curious about what's alive in your system.

May you move through the rest of your day or evening more connected to an authentic ability to respond to life around you.
