A journey of self love and love for others. Both of which can be challenging. Held within the heartbeat and rhythm of music composed by Matthew Tomayko. You will be guided through Metta practices to enter the pathways of your heart. May you breathe into the heart space without expectation or rush. Breathing with full and unapologetic presence. The gift lying within your patient presence without conditions of how you should experience or where you should arrive to.

Welcome.

As you enter this sacred space,

Know that this meditation has been culminated from deeply devoted intentions to offer an evergreen,

Evergiving transmission of nourishment and restoration.

As we tune into the pace of devoted presence,

Allow the soundscape to be your welcoming guide.

Slowing down from our lives faster pace and coming to rest with our attention in words,

Let it lead you into yourself.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Resting your focal point with deep trust upon the music.

And naturally,

You surrender into your senses.

Resting your focal point with deep trust.

Resting your focal point with deep trust.

You start observing,

Feeling,

Listening to the subtleties.

Resting your focal point with deep trust.

Resting your focal point with deep trust.

Resting your focal point with deep trust.

Your welcome guide,

Sacred sound,

Leading us into our internal experience where the mind is here,

Not focused on where the mind has been and not straining towards what is to come.

A gentle surrender into experience.

How does this sound ripple inside my body as a felt sensation?

How does this sound ripple inside my body as a felt sensation?

Can I use this sound as a gateway into no longer needing to make sense of,

Not needing to change,

But receiving,

Like a fresh river of chi?

How does this sound ripple inside my body as a felt sensation?

Music,

Bathing us in its pure constant fluidity.

Bare soul,

Soothed in its cool,

Caressing current.

From this state of limitless presence,

May we begin to construct a beacon of love within ourselves.

Guiding your attention now into the foundation of your being,

Your deep core,

The place of our inner earth,

Our leafy belief systems,

And native self-perception.

Begin to picture yourself in your mind's eye.

You may be sitting or standing.

Now however you come to mind,

To be there and take a moment to view yourself from this third person perspective.

Connect to hearing your tone of voice,

Observing your mannerisms,

Body posture,

And just watch this natural,

Unmanicured,

Unfiltered moment in time of yourself.

Can you begin to shed a light of radical devotional appreciation for this being you are observing,

For their heart,

Their core,

Their inherent goodness,

No matter what they have been through and how they have adapted from that?

Can you tap into the acknowledgement of their inherent goodness,

Whether they make mistakes or struggle or have yet to master cultivating their inner riches,

Lighting up this view of them with the warm light of acknowledging their inherent worthiness,

Inherent deserving of kindness,

Joy,

Health,

And abundance?

Constructing a lighthouse within you,

Beaming this acknowledgement towards yourself from your viewpoint.

Taking a moment to warm yourself with a light of warm wishes,

Heartfelt presence,

Knowing that you have always been enough.

Taking this moment now to thank yourself for allowing yourself to be viewed,

Witnessed,

And observed unfiltered,

Even in visualization.

It is a gift you give to share and witness your presence,

Even in the close intimacy of self.

You may settle back into the nourishing rhythmic current of sound,

Letting it wash over you and release this vision of yourself from your mind's eye.

It is a gift you give to share and witness your presence,

Even in the close intimacy of self.

Notice any residual sensations in the body after spending time constructing this inner lighthouse of revitalizing recognition.

You do not need to try to hold onto or change any sensation that you become aware of.

Simply take note,

Sharing your presence with what arises.

Breathing the ebb and flow,

The rise and eventual dissipation of form.

And allow yourself to melt into breath and sound.

If the mind comes in with thought and you notice your attention has drifted away,

Soften into the breath.

Melt back into the rich attentiveness of open presence to the sounds of this moment,

The sensations of deep breath,

The inhalation,

The slight pause in between once fullness is reached,

The exhalation melting into it,

And once again the hovering in between,

Embracing the surrender into the emptiness.

We will embark now on one last journey of liberation.

Allow yourself to surrender into my guidance and into the insights that may come.

In other words,

Trust the process and that exactly what arises for you is the inner medicine of your own soul rising up to recalibrate you towards the direction of your heart.

Coming to envision a person in your mind that you find it difficult to love.

This can be someone you have any length of history with.

Trusting that the person that comes to mind is the one that you two mutually will benefit most from this practice.

Do you have the person in your mental vision yet?

Allow them to land here,

Taking a moment to observe them as neutrally as you can.

Now,

Time begins to bend.

This person begins aging backwards.

Youth beginning to show more prominently on their face.

Shrinking.

The weight of conditioning they have come to carry slowly drops off of them.

Childlike playfulness shines through.

You watch them humbly arrive into infancy.

The purity of innocence shines through in their eyes.

You see a defenseless baby who wants to be loved,

To taste,

Touch,

And bask in the world.

Can you begin to construct a lighthouse that beams the acknowledgement of their inherent goodness?

Surrounding this infant in a light of warm wishes.

Recognition for their heart's pure yearning to be a part of this world and receive its love.

To do its very best with the life it has.

Looking at this infant,

Every drop of forgiveness or compassion that begins to swell up within you.

Allow it to beam towards this person.

You see a defenseless baby who wants to be loved,

To taste,

Touch,

And bask in the world.

So taking these last few moments now to bask in the recognition of the inherent goodness within this being and all the freedom this viewpoint allows you to reach within yourself.

In your own timing,

Begin to thank this person now for the receptiveness to enter your mental realm for this practice and allow you to tap into your internal well of nourishment through what their presence has inspired you to find.

Take a full deep breath in and slowly let an exhale out through your mouth.

You can let go of this vision in your mind.

Now begin to guide your attention to a sensation in your body that is either neutral or positive.

Allow your focus to rest here,

Landing and honing in on this sensation.

Letting the breath slow and deepen into the depths of the belly.

Using this sensation to ground you back into your body.

And now begin to expand your awareness out beyond just one singular sensation of your body.

Observe your body as a whole,

Taking in this sacred temple that houses you.

Full of rich sensations,

Possibilities and experiences.

And whatever that is here now,

Taking a moment to unconditionally sit with it.

Begin to expand your senses into where your skin makes contact with the external,

The air,

Perhaps also the ground or cushion.

Notice any sounds around you or any smells.

In your own timing,

Softly blink your eyes open.

Bring your hands to meet,

Palm to palm at your heart center,

In Anjali Mudra,

Prayer position.

And bow your head slightly in gratitude and acknowledgement for the source of love that rests inside of you and connects all beings together.

May we dedicate the benefits of this practice to all living beings everywhere.

Aloka samasta sukhino bhavantu.

Lovely Practice that brought me deeper than I was expecting. Showing me my capacity for compassion and love for those whom initial thoughts of loving are hardest.
