Welcome.
In today's meditation,
We will be sinking deep into the soil.
Metaphorically and quite literally,
The focus of today is reconnecting with our true nature by meditating with the elements and immersing ourselves into the felt sense of the Earth's natural intelligence.
What can we uncover here,
Within the elements,
When we listen with more than our ears?
Nature gives us so much,
Provides us with potent healing herbs,
Water,
Sunlight,
Nutrients,
And even in unseen ways,
We are being healed by nature.
Moving water,
Like waterfalls and rivers,
And the ocean,
Produce what is called negative ions,
Which help our bodies to heal faster.
They remove free radicals from wounds,
Increase the flow of oxygen to our brain,
Boost our immune system,
And even have been scientifically proven to reduce depression significantly.
So,
Beyond these conceptually understood benefits of nature,
What lies beyond our mental grasp and our own felt sense?
We will be exploring that now.
How can we tune into nature as a way to sink into our own true nature?
To take off the mask,
To embrace ourselves completely,
All of our faces,
Our imperfections,
And simply befriend our inner nature.
Begin to allow your senses to arrive,
Place yourself out in the middle of nature,
Sitting directly on the soil of the Earth.
Embody this moment,
And it's just you,
The trees,
The birds,
The rustling leaves,
And the rays of sunlight peeking through them.
There is nothing you need to be right now,
No one,
You have to please.
You are supported by the Earth beneath you,
No matter how you feel right now,
Or how you express yourself,
Every single part of you is fully accepted,
Held,
Just as you are.
Take a moment to breathe this in deeper,
Deeper than your conscious mind.
Breathe it into your body,
Exploring in your body the embrace of nature's total acceptance.
And not just acceptance,
There's no evaluation of your worth.
Feel the pressure to be anything other than how you feel right now,
Slipping off of you like an old coat that suddenly,
You realize you do not need to carry anymore in order to stay warm.
You have the rays of the sun,
Dancing through rustling leaves,
Kissing your skin,
Seeping deeply into the cells of your body,
Knowing this is where you have come from.
This is your truth,
A complete embrace of you,
Letting yourself return home here,
To that home within you,
Before you've ever learned any idea of how you should be or should talk.
Breathing in the fresh air and breathing out the relief of peace washes through your body.
Your ears tune into a stream nearby,
The water is beckoning you.
Begin to stand up and walk towards it,
Your footsteps crunch on a mix of these scattered leaves and the earth's moist soil,
So beautifully imperfect.
In fact,
Perfecting this earth cannot make it any more exquisite than it already is,
Unmanicured.
You feel so at home and you begin to walk up to the water,
The cool stream right before you,
And you step right in,
Letting it wash over your feet and your calves,
The smooth pebbles replace the soil and you feel the current running by your feet.
You walk to the middle of the stream and you find a perfect place to lay down,
Where the stones perfectly support you,
And just your face is emerging from the water.
The rest of your body is submerged in the crisp coolness of the water's current.
You let yourself sink in,
Your body relaxes fully,
Breathing deeply into your lungs,
You feel you can let go more than you ever had in your life this far,
Letting go in a way that you don't just know,
You feel everything is okay.
Let the spirit of the water run all over your body,
Seeping into your soul,
Fully surrendered to it.
You don't have to tell the river everything you had been carrying until now,
She just knows,
And there is nothing more to it than a silent conversation of knowing and being.
The time comes,
And you feel ready to move on slowly,
Slowly,
Taking your time,
And knowing that you have the perfect pace,
You can listen to your inner rhythm,
And come to rise out of the water,
Feeling the water dripping off your skin as it rolls down your body.
You look over toward the other side of the stream,
Your eyes catch the glowing embers of a fire built just for you,
Beckoning you for a soul conversation,
You walk towards it,
Feeling patience and power in every step,
A being of nature,
Rightfully alive,
A fiery awareness fills every step of yours,
Like a panther's prowl,
At home in this body of yours,
Feet on the ground,
At home in this world,
There is power in your presence,
You walk with an almost erotic presence of belonging in your being.
As you reach the fire,
The glow echoes against your skin,
A golden primal radiance,
You come to kneel in front of the fire,
The spirit of alchemical transformation and action connect to its presence,
Allow it to beckon you to that same place inside of you,
Where you have this same fire glowing,
Your inner fire,
A primal embrace of your humanness,
Your animal body,
Your pleasure,
Your drive,
Your creativity,
Passionate howl of belonging,
A wild sense of joy,
Peace within the fierceness,
The knowing,
Beyond mental concept,
But embodied felt knowing,
Of the power in your gaze,
In your breath,
In your energy,
When you bring your total awareness here,
A zero-pointed,
Fierce focus,
And a conscious claiming of entrusting yourself to wield this power from within.
Staring into the fire,
You converse beyond words,
You let it instill in you and awaken in you the exact remembrance that you are ready for.
You begin to feel complete with the conversation,
And you begin to bow your head,
Bowing all the way down until your forehead kisses the cool,
Moist soil of the earth,
An acknowledgement of this fire within,
And you rise back up,
And only the glowing embers remain.
The blazing fire has completed its burn.
You rise to your feet,
And continue forwards on your path into the forest,
Walking over roots and around tree trunks,
Enjoying the soft sunlight and the beauty of the forest,
So peaceful,
Walking perfectly to your own rhythm,
A pace of pleasure and contentment.
A gust of wind rustles through the leaves up ahead,
You watch the trees sway,
And some leaves rain down,
And as the gust of wind reaches you,
A soft caress of air against your skin,
You watch as the wind continues throughout the forest,
Freeing the trees of its dying leaves,
You watch as the leaves sway slowly in the air,
Falling toward the forest floor,
Where they will in time,
Be covered in rain and sunlight and rain again,
Stepped on by animals and eventually become nutrients for the trees' roots,
And you watch and contemplate as the wind subtly blows past your skin again,
A gust of divine understanding blows through you.
You don't have to hold onto anything,
Or run for anything,
You can let go,
Let the dance of life move through you,
Whispering to you,
In your inner knowing,
The cosmic sustenance of life,
The forces that generate life,
From ashes,
Taking the compost of what was and bringing it to what will be.
The breath in your lungs suddenly feels so comforting,
A presence of life within you,
Oxygen to carbon dioxide,
Yet,
Your very next breath in your lungs is fresh oxygen,
An exquisite dance of life sustains you,
Each breath,
A gift from the mystery,
The mind does not have to reach to understand,
You can simply soften into the breath and let yourself melt into oneness with the cosmic breath of life,
Deep breath in and fully out,
Emptying your lungs,
Find a comfortable spot in the forest,
To sit and close your eyes,
Tuning back into the presence of truly connecting to nature and the elements,
Open to all aspects of you,
The gifts that come from all of your elements bring yourself back into your heart,
So full,
And yet,
Beyond anything you need to explain to your mind,
You can just let yourself be full beyond reason,
Let's take three deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth to ground back into the present moment and integrate today's journey.
We will close this meditation by together sharing the sound that is said created the universe and all existence stems from Aum,
Deep breath in through the nose,
Aum.
