A Wiccan altar isn't a place where we bow down and confess our sins,
For in Wicca,
There are no sins.
Therein possibly lies the greatest component of perpetual peace.
I stand before my altar every night,
And I do so in peace and love,
So that I can be of benefit to myself and others.
In my perspective,
The Wiccan altar exists as a place for us to keep our tools and gather an even deeper spiritual perspective,
To meditate in a space that is free from interruption.
I invite you to do that just now,
By bringing your perspective into focus as you move into any sacred space that is right for you,
That is comfortable for you.
This can be before your altar,
Outdoors,
Or even in an elevator.
It can and should be any place that is right for you.
Take a deep breath in,
Exhale mindfully.
Do this several times.
If you are Wiccan,
Welcome.
If you aren't Wiccan,
Welcome.
Regardless of your spiritual path,
I invite you to spend a few moments in silence before your altar,
Whatever your altar might be,
And in any way that works best for you.
Regardless,
Your body is the real temple,
And I welcome you,
My dear friend,
As I share with you my daily practice.
With each inhale,
Feel yourself connecting with the elements of earth,
Air,
Fire,
Water,
And spirit.
With each exhale,
Let go of what no longer serves you.
I invite you to bring namaste hands together at your heart.
As you do so,
Gather in energy that inspires love.
Take a deep breath.
Breathe in love for the earth,
Love for all life around you.
Love for yourself.
Raise your namaste hands to your third eye,
Which is just above your physical eyes.
Bless your intuition,
Your thoughts.
Invite energy into the chakra to give yourself clarity and peace of mind.
Bring your hands in front of your lips while concentrating on how your words are powerful,
How you can use your words for the benefit of all.
Breathe steadily.
Think about your words.
There is so much energy attached to your words,
So please use them constructively.
Finally,
Allow your hands to rest at your heart chakra again as you sense gratitude.
Feel a warmness in this chakra as you invite love for yourself into yourself.
At your own pace,
Begin to open your eyes.
Invite subtle movements into your fingers and toes as you awaken from this rest.
Return feeling well-rested and relaxed.
I stand before my altar every night,
And I do so in peace and love so that I can be of benefit to myself and others.
May that same sense of serenity be yours now.
Giving blessings to others is a wonderful practice that should never be overlooked,
But don't forget to bless yourself too.
The crow flies from me to thee to send the message.
Blessed be.
Stay blessed.
