Regular breaks and adequate sleep can improve cognitive function, reduce stress and anxiety, and enhance overall well-being. Lying down is not the only position for resting — During Sitting or walking meditation we can rest. And it doesn’t have to be hard labor. Sometimes in the middle of the madness, we need to rest. We can incorporate mindful moments of rest into our days and schedules. We don’t need to do anything or be anything or be anywhere. We need to just rest and be fully present in that rest. Rest is revolutionary.

Sometimes we need to rest.

We don't need to do anything or be anything.

Taking breaks and prioritizing rest can lead to improved mental health,

Better physical health,

Increased creativity and productivity,

And even greater social and economic equality.

Reduce stress,

Anxiety,

And enhance overall well-being.

Lying down is not the only position for resting.

During sitting or walking meditation,

We can rest.

And it doesn't have to be hard labor.

Rest is revolutionary.

Our bodies and minds have the capacity to heal themselves if we allow them to rest.

Wherever you are,

Whatever you are doing,

Stop what you're doing.

Take a moment,

Close your eyes,

And rest.

Allow your breathing to just happen.

As you do that,

Rest.

As you rest,

Your breathing happens all by itself.

Awareness happens all by itself.

Your breath will slow down.

Rest.

Rest.

Just allow your body and mind to rest.

Don't struggle.

There is no need to attain anything.

Rest.

Rest is revolutionary.

And it's essential for us to be our highest and best selves.

Use your rest as a reset.

Use your rest as a mindful modality.
