Hello,

My friend.

My name is Kori.

In this meditation,

We're going to dive into the idea that your gut can talk to you.

Your gut knows best.

And that's all well and good,

But how do you know what your gut is telling you?

We're going to practice and I'll explain how you can do that,

All by yourself,

Whenever you have a question and you're not sure what the answer is.

Use your gut to communicate with you whether the answer is yes or no.

If you could,

Sit up straight for me and close down your eyes.

Slow down your breathing.

Start to feel into the sensations in your body.

Maybe sweep quite quickly through your body,

Just feeling the general overall feeling of how you feel in this moment.

Nothing too deep,

Just a sweep over.

Once you have a general sense of your feeling in this moment,

Start to focus solely on your abdomen.

Feel the sensations inside of your stomach.

Notice if your stomach feels warm inside.

You may feel heavy,

Tight.

Your stomach may feel bloated,

Open,

Light.

Try and get some descriptive words of what your stomach feels like,

Without thinking about anything in particular,

Just feeling your stomach.

And now so that you can recognize the sensations in your stomach,

Start to think about something that makes you feel extremely happy.

Something that brings you joy,

That makes you smile,

Makes you giggle or laugh.

A memory maybe of an event or a particular person.

Whatever it is,

Think about that and nothing else.

Slowly start to accumulate that joy sensation in your body,

The feeling of happiness,

That smile on your face.

See if you can intensify it so you can relive it exactly what it feels like.

And notice your abdomen.

When you're happy,

When something feels good,

When your body feels the joy,

What does your stomach feel like?

These sensations could be really obvious to you or you might have to dive in and focus.

Be still,

Be quiet and practice this,

But generally,

When you're happy,

Your tummy feels open.

It feels as if it's welcoming in something.

It's open and ready to receive.

It feels light and spacious.

You might even get mild,

Tingling,

Butterfly sensations.

But it feels comfortable in your body.

It feels like the joy is radiating out from your stomach,

Maybe up into your heart,

Up into your throat.

See if you can get really in tune with the sensations of what happiness feels like in your tummy particularly,

But feel into it and see if it travels to other places in your body.

And then take a deep breath for me and see if you can clear the slate in your mind.

Wipe the board clean.

Don't think about your happy thing anymore.

Breathe it out,

Release it and bring yourself back to a neutral place.

Feel your body calm back down,

Your energy becoming more regulated.

Soften your shoulders,

Relax your jaw.

Now bring something to mind that makes you very,

Very sad.

Something that you don't like,

That you dislike.

You could even involve the sensation of hatred if you want to.

Something not pleasant,

Something negative.

Think about it.

Let yourself go into it.

Focus on your stomach.

Feel what happens in your abdomen.

Really cultivate that feeling,

That memory so that you can bring it as strongly as you possibly can back into your body.

You will be having reactions throughout your whole body,

But I want you to just focus on your abdomen.

Feel it.

When you get familiar with recognizing the different sensations in your body and how your body talks to you,

You'll instantly notice that your tummy feels tight.

It contracts.

It closes,

As if it's closing out that outside force that's making it feel uncomfortable.

It pulls back towards your spine.

It literally tightens and contracts.

It feels heavy,

Solid,

Uncomfortable.

And then if you can breathe out for me,

Imagine that you're breathing out the memory.

You're breathing out this uncomfortable,

Negative sensation.

Take a few breaths and bring yourself back to neutral.

You can open your eyes.

Come back into your space.

That is an example of the difference between a yes and a no.

If you feel all the feelings that you felt when you had your happy memory,

Your happy sensation come into your body,

Then it's a yes.

If you feel everything that happens with the negative sensation,

When you're asked a question or you're asking yourself for an answer of a question,

Then the answer is no.

And it's as simple as that.

The more you observe,

The more you focus,

The more you practice this meditation,

The more you'll finally hear your body communicating with you.

I hope this helps.

Namaste,

My friend.
