My name is Corrie.
If you haven't done so already,
Get yourself into a nice comfortable seated position so that you can relax during your meditation.
So if you need to use back support,
Then go ahead and do so.
Close down your eyes and let go of the world around you and start to pull your attention inside of your body.
Feel your breath,
Be aware of your breath.
The interesting thing with meditation is when you start to do it regularly and you make it part of your practice,
Whether it's every day or a couple of times a week,
Just the act of sitting in your meditation position,
Closing down your eyes,
Focusing on your breath,
Start to become innate.
They start to become part of this signal that you are sending to brain that says,
This is quiet time.
This is your time to be still,
To be quiet.
This is your self-awareness time.
The rest of your time you're probably busy working or taking care of things,
Or maybe on your phone.
It's always go,
Go,
Go,
Right?
But when you sit down and you send that signal to the brain that you're going to meditate,
You'll notice that you get a flow of peace that starts to come through the body just naturally,
Like a deep exhale is taking place in the body.
The cool thing about meditation is you can let go of all linear time.
You can let go of the rest of the world and just be present in your space and your body.
Soften your shoulders and let them relax just a little bit more.
See if you can make your breath fall into the background.
So even though you're purposefully taking longer,
Slower,
Deeper breaths,
See if you can make them kind of just melt away from your focus.
So you're not necessarily focusing on your breath.
You're focusing on the quiet,
On the stillness.
It's a quality.
It's almost palpable.
You can feel it.
There's going to be noises,
Of course,
From maybe your house or my voice.
But see if you can start to feel that blanket of stillness and quiet fall around you.
Imagine it just falling gently around your back and your shoulders.
Welcome back,
Old friend.
Come sit with me.
Can you feel the warmth in this invisible blanket of quiet?
Can you feel the richness of it?
What does it feel like to you?
If you need more visual,
Imagine that you're actually sitting really still and quiet and you're feeling into your own aura.
Your aura is that energetical space around your body that reflects the energy of who you are.
It's constantly changing.
But imagine that you're feeling into your own aura.
I get a visible energy that you're physically feeling wrapping around you.
If there's moments where it feels comfortable for you,
Hold your breath slightly and be even more still and quiet.
All of your regular life is in another time and space.
And somehow you've just floated out into a different dimension,
A different pocket of consciousness,
Like your own bubble,
Where there is no time and space.
And you're just out there floating,
Feeling this energy,
This stillness and quiet around you,
Enjoying the overall sense of peace that this brings.
Nothing else exists.
No other people or places or things,
No other requirements or duties.
You're just in your bubble,
Safe,
Peaceful.
Can you feel that nothingness,
That everything on your skin?
Can you feel it on your hands and your arms?
Can you feel a slight weight and pressure of the blanket of quiet that's wrapped around your shoulders and across your back?
Can you feel it?
Just listen.
You don't have to do anything else,
But just listen to the slightest sounds.
Everything is muffled and far away because of the distance and the safety and the protection of your bubble.
Pull your attention back to your breath and start to focus on the feelings of breathing in and breathing out.
Notice that when you focus on your breath,
You acknowledge more movement.
There's no longer that stillness.
You can feel all the subtle movements in your body of your breath.
You can feel the waves of your breath.
See if you can start to acknowledge the wave of your breath.
Can you feel the wave that's being created?
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
And as that wave travels through your body,
Let's have a little play.
Use our imagination and have some fun.
Imagine that you're a tiny little surfer dude and you're in your body traveling on the wave of your breath,
Like you're riding the waves of the ocean.
See yourself in your mind as if you're on the ocean,
Just riding the waves,
Surfing through a different time and space.
What if your surfboard could fly?
Let's go visit Father Sky.
Rather than Mother Earth,
What if your surfboard could fly?
Imagine that you're flying up there on the clouds and you're surfing through the clouds,
Over them and under them,
Through.
And just keep breathing.
Long,
Slow,
Deep breaths as you surf through the clouds.
If any of you have been on an airplane and you see that sight when you look out of the window and all the clouds are down below and it just looks like a fluffy cake,
Like the top of a cake.
Imagine you're surfing across those clouds and there's no one else around,
Just you and pure peace.
Completely free of the rigidity of life down below.
You can feel the wind in your face,
Traveling over your skin.
Still taking long,
Slow breaths.
Feeling free and light and happy.
What if everyone,
Whether they're pets or loved ones,
Everyone that you've loved is up here surfing,
Having fun,
Feeling light and open and free.
Just being held safely by the clouds as you surf and play.
And then all of a sudden there's a big,
Colourful parachute and you feel yourself floating down through the clouds.
A big rainbow of colour above you.
And you're slowly floating down through the clouds,
Being completely held as you let go and relax and just float down through the sky.
Let the wind take you in different directions.
As if you're slowly coming back down to earth,
Slowly coming back down to your life,
Coming back down to all of the things that's required.
Coming back into your reality as you touch your feet on the ground and you feel the earth underneath your feet,
The solidity of being fully present back in your body.
And in your mind and physical,
You slowly open your eyes and come back into your real life,
The life that feels real.
You can whittle your fingers,
Whittle your toes,
Take a nice big,
Deep breath.
Feel into your physical body,
Ready for whatever comes your way today and the rest of this month.
I hope you've enjoyed this meditation,
Knowing that you can come back and escape whenever you need to.
Namaste,
My friends.
