Hello,

My name is Corrie.

I'm sharing this meditation with you today because it's something that I do regularly for myself.

It's one of those exercises where if you find yourself during the day or at any other time being trapped in thought patterns that cause anxiety or fear.

I do this regularly,

I'm sure most of us do because we're human.

One of the ways that I can get out of that toxic cycle with my thinking is by changing those thoughts that I'm thinking that are causing me anxiety into something completely different.

I change the thoughts into something that's coming from a place of gratitude.

I try and find things that I'm thankful for rather than thinking a thought that's causing me anxiety.

So for example if I haven't heard from someone I love all day,

I may for whatever reason start to spiral in my thinking,

Thinking that they no longer love me,

They're too busy to talk to me,

They don't want to connect with me,

Something bad could have happened to them,

I've messaged them and they haven't messaged me back.

This is probably a very typical situation that a lot of us find ourselves in.

Rather than do that to myself,

I catch myself doing it and I replace those thoughts with other thoughts.

Thoughts like I'm so grateful that that person is in my life,

I'm so grateful that I care so much about them,

I'm so grateful that they make me happy and I want to connect with them,

I'm so grateful that they're probably having a very busy day but they do love me,

I'm so grateful that the way I feel about this person means so much to me,

I'm so lucky to feel these feelings,

I'm so lucky to feel this love.

All of the thoughts were connected to the same issue.

The anxiety thoughts,

That they don't want to talk to me,

That they're too busy for me,

That they don't love me were all because I haven't heard from them.

Versus the gratitude thoughts which are I'm so grateful that I love this person,

I'm so grateful that I want to connect to them,

I'm so grateful that they make me feel happy.

They're very different types of thoughts and the shift in my body when that happens is very obvious.

I'm no longer feeling riddled with anxiety,

I'm no longer experiencing a tight abdomen or my body is tense because of the anxiety or the fear.

I'm actually in a space of gratitude with the second option.

My body relaxes,

My abdomen opens,

My vibrational energy shifts into a place that's so much more pleasant to feel inside of my body.

You can do this in meditation,

You can do this as you're driving,

You can do this as you're sat working,

You can do it anytime you catch yourself in some kind of negative spiral that isn't for your greatest good.

Like I said we all do it because we're human beings.

I have a wonderful habit of doing it to myself quite often but I notice that I'm doing it,

I catch myself doing it and I re-script my thinking into something that's more positive instead of allowing myself to spiral into a place of hell,

Anxiety,

Fear and discomfort.

I'm sharing this with you in hopes that you give it a try.

Take all of those negative thoughts and turn them into gratitude thoughts and see how you feel.

Namaste my friend.
