My name is Cori.
Let's sit down,
Do this meditation together and see if we can feel more grounded,
More centered over the next five minutes.
Just get comfortable in a seated position.
Straighten your spine,
Relax your shoulders down and close down your eyes.
Take a nice big deep breath in through your nose and out through your nose.
Starting to slow down the pace of your breath.
See if you can still your body.
Try not to move around too much or whittle.
Stay as still as you possibly can with the image in your mind as if you're letting muddy water settle.
The more still you are,
The more all the different sediments start to sink down to the bottom.
The water starts to get calm and clear.
Using your inhale to bring in relaxation and your exhale to help to push all the sediment down as if you're pushing it down towards the ground.
Focus in on the sensation of all the different parts of you that are touching your chair or the ground,
Yoga mat,
Whatever you're sat on.
Feel into your sit bones,
Certain parts of your legs,
Your ankle.
Feel the solidity of the earth beneath you and know that you're supported.
Imagine if you can that that sensation that you can feel in your sit bones and your legs and your ankles.
Imagine if that's a sensation of being weighted,
Weighted down like you're being magnetically pulled into that surface that you're sat on.
All the sediment within you is settled down because you've slowed down your breath.
Everything's becoming more stable,
Calm.
Associate the feeling of connection to the ground with the connection of being grounded.
You're seated,
You're grounded,
You're weighed into the earth beneath you.
And with that grounding comes a feeling of safety,
Support.
You feel very aware of your human body,
The weight,
The gravity.
Allow this sensation to be with you all day to keep you in your body,
To help you to feel grounded and structured and safe.
Keep this stillness,
This steadiness with you all day.
You can open your eyes whenever you're ready.
And that's all you need to do for your meditation today.
Namaste,
My friend.
