Good morning my friend.
This meditation is one of those which is perfect for when you wake up in the morning and you have that dread in your tummy.
That morning anxiety that's there for absolutely no reason.
You can lay in bed still and listen to this meditation.
You don't have to do anything special.
Tune into your body.
Do that by focusing on your breath first of all.
By just watching,
Observing,
Feeling your breath as you breathe normally,
It helps you to start to become more aware of everything that's going on inside of your body.
Just breathe and feel.
Focus mainly on your abdomen.
If you know anything about chakras,
We're going to be focusing mainly on your solar plexus area.
Focus on the area around and above your belly button.
And if you're not familiar with chakras,
That's totally okay.
Just focus on that area.
It doesn't matter.
Feel that part of your abdomen.
When you have any kind of anxiety present,
It normally feels heavy and tight.
You can also feel a slight pulling sensation.
If you really tune in,
It feels like it's being pulled back into yourself.
It's contracting into yourself.
Purposefully change your breath.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath into that part of your stomach.
And when you breathe out,
Really exaggerate how slow you can breathe out.
Breathe out slow,
As if you're blowing out through a straw.
Do that until your tummy is completely empty and your lungs are empty of air.
And then take a big,
Deep breath in as if you haven't breathed for a while.
A big,
Deep breath.
Pull it down into that part of your abdomen.
And then slowly release as if you're blowing out through a straw,
Slow and consistently.
What you're doing is bringing some intention,
Some oxygen,
Some life force directly into that part of your body.
As if your breath is coming in to soothe that tightness,
The constriction and the heaviness.
It's okay to wake up feeling like this.
There doesn't have to be a particular problem and there doesn't have to be a problem with you.
This is just what's happening to you right now in this moment.
Know that today,
Whatever comes,
You will be able to handle it.
Just tell yourself you're ready for your day.
Keep taking those long,
Deep breaths.
Breathe out nice and slow.
As soon as you get up and you get busy,
It will pass.
Namaste,
My friend.
