Welcome,

My name is Cori.

Let's do a quick mental reset together.

It's only going to take a few minutes of your time to get you back into a place of alignment,

Feeling good about wherever you're at once again.

If you're in a position where you can close your eyes,

Then close down your eyes.

Otherwise if you're at work or driving,

You can leave your eyes open.

Just let your gaze soften so that your face and your eyes are more relaxed.

Slowly breathe in,

A nice long deep breath.

Imagine that you're using your breathing,

Your breath in and your breath out as the point of focus for the entirety of this meditation.

You're not going to be thinking about anything other than your breath.

The consistency of your breath,

The repetition of your breath,

The constant that is your breath.

So breathing in nice and slow once again.

Start to soften your shoulders as you breathe in.

So mentally make your breathing in connected to softening your shoulders,

Which feels counteractive if you tune in because your shoulders want to rise a little bit when you breathe in.

But for this,

Just imagine you're pushing against the natural force and you're pushing down your shoulders as you breathe in.

And then when you breathe out,

Your shoulders will naturally want to fall.

So go with the natural flow of your shoulders softening even more when you exhale.

Don't let your shoulders rise on the inhale.

Slowly push them down,

Focusing on that movement alone,

Keeping your breath at a constant,

Slow,

Calm pace.

As you push down your shoulders,

Imagine that you're pushing against all of the tension,

Maybe the irritation or the stress or whatever it is that's mounting up in your body for you to need this mental reset.

You're pushing down.

You're resisting your body getting tight and unconsciously uncomfortable by the stress.

You're doing all of that with your breath,

Pushing down against the natural feeling to rise up as you breathe in,

Pushing down with the natural flow as you exhale.

And in the act of pushing down against this tension in your shoulders,

You're acting against the whole concept of allowing your body to be taken over by an unconscious stress or anxiety or frustration.

You're taking back control in these few minutes with me,

Pulling back into alignment,

Pulling your mind and your mental state along with your physical body back into a state of balance.

As if you're nipping at the bud of something that could have turned into a very stressful situation.

You're nipping it at the root.

You're intercepting with your body's reaction to want to get stressed and tight and frustrated.

You're not allowing that to happen by pushing down your shoulders,

Focusing on your breath,

Keeping the consistency of your breath calm,

Slow,

At ease.

With that gentle push down with the inhale and the gentle push down with the exhale.

Bringing yourself back into a place of alignment,

Feeling good and ready to carry on with whatever it was that you were doing.

Namaste my friend.
