Are you ready for some me time?
Okay.
Lay down and make sure that you're completely comfortable.
Move your arms away from your body slightly.
Face your hands down to the earth if you need grounding.
Or turn them around and face your palms up to the sky if you need more spiritual connection.
Adjust your legs so your legs feel right,
Maybe just slightly apart so that your feet can relax out to the sides.
And close your eyes if you haven't done so already.
Start by going inside,
Becoming more aware of your body and your breath.
So start to just feel your breath as you breathe.
Breathe in and feel the sensations created in your body.
And exhale and feel the sensations created in your body.
Allow your breath to start to slow everything down.
It's a signal to the brain that this is your time to relax,
Your time to meditate,
Your me time.
So allow your breath to start to naturally slow down,
Become slower and softer.
Mindfully take in deeper breaths.
See if you can breathe all the way down to your abdomen.
Nice,
Long,
Slow breaths.
Allow these breaths to start to calm your entire body.
Be aware of any thoughts popping into your mind as you try and focus on your breath and your body.
Allow the thoughts to come in.
Don't try and fight them or make them quiet or still or go away.
Just acknowledge the thoughts.
Be aware of their presence and then let them go.
Make no attachment to any thoughts that pop into your mind during your me time.
Just let them go.
Pull yourself and your attention back to your breath.
Your breath is your friend,
Remember.
Breathe and start to let your body slow down and relax.
Take your breath all the way down to your feet and be aware of any sensations that you feel inside of your feet.
Any tingling sensations,
Vibrations,
Energy flow.
Focus purely on your feet.
Go inside,
Become aware.
Allow your body to start to relax so that you can relax your mind.
Your busy mind needs a break.
This is your time to take a break.
Take a break from any of the thoughts that you place on yourself.
The heavy thoughts of guilt,
That you're not doing everything right,
That you're not doing everything perfect,
That you could do better.
Let go of those thoughts.
Just for this short space of time.
If you can't let go of those thoughts all day,
Then let go of those thoughts right now.
Breathe into your body and relax your legs.
Let your legs get heavy and sleepy.
Every time you breathe out,
Notice how your legs become more tired and still and heavy.
When you breathe in,
Focus on breathing in,
Relaxing,
Calming,
Peaceful breaths.
And when you breathe out,
Use your outer breath to let go of things.
Let go of your need to be perfect.
Breathe in and relax into life,
Knowing that everything is perfectly imperfect.
Everything you do has meaning,
Has learning.
Every mistake is an opportunity for growth.
No more punishment,
No more guilt.
Breathe it out of your body.
Give yourself some love and let go of that.
Breathe in some love.
And let go of the guilt.
Relax your abdomen,
Your lower back and your hips.
Let that part of your body completely melt into the ground.
Take your breath into your abdomen.
Breathe deep into the lower part of your body.
Breathe and see everything relaxing in your mind.
Every day is new as a parent.
Every moment brings new growth,
Change.
With change comes something new.
And when something is new,
There comes an uncertainty,
A feeling of not knowing what to do.
But there's also excitement.
And there's gratitude that you get to see each day,
Each change,
Each new step that your child or your children are making.
That's far more empowering to focus on than to focus on thoughts of fear.
Breathe,
Take a nice deep breath and be grateful for how wonderful you are.
For all the great things that you do.
For how loving you are.
Be grateful for those things.
Breathe out and let go of the critic inside of you.
Let it go for a while and just be nice to yourself.
Relax your chest and your shoulders.
Let them get heavy.
Really,
Really focus on the space at the back of your neck.
Let go of any tension that you're holding there.
Breathe it out.
Just release it.
Say to yourself for the rest of the day,
Whenever I have a negative thought,
I'm going to stop myself right there and replace it with,
I am doing the best I can.
I am doing the best I can.
Give yourself the relief of that statement.
The love that that statement holds.
Allow yourself to believe it and accept it.
Allow it to resonate throughout your entire body.
I am doing the best that I can.
Relax your arms.
Let your arms get heavy and sleepy.
Stay still.
As still as you can be.
The only movement throughout your body is your breath.
Your energy and your blood flow.
Give yourself this time,
This space of safety and love.
Step away from that part of you that's hard on yourself.
This serves no purpose other than making you feel bad.
Allow your body to relax deeper and deeper.
Relax your head.
Let your head get heavy and completely comfortable.
Your scalp.
Breathe and soften any tension that you might be holding in the top of your head.
Imagine the relaxation flowing slowly down over your eyebrows,
Your forehead.
Moving down over your temples and relaxing the space around your eyes.
Your cheeks.
Your jaw.
All of the tiny little muscles in your face soften and relax.
Your entire body is blissfully,
Peacefully comfortable.
Be gentle to your heart.
Be gentle to your mind and your body.
Love yourself more than you love anything in the world.
So you can love everyone in your life just as much.
Be nice to yourself.
I'm doing the best I can.
I'm doing the best that I can.
Let your whole body just feel as if it's being hugged by a nice big long fluffy blanket.
It was safe and quiet and still.
And you could just be in this space.
Be relaxed.
Be loved.
Be held.
Just let yourself be embraced by the love of a big warm fluffy blanket and by the love of yourself.
I'm doing the best that I can.
Just keep saying that to yourself whenever you have one of those crazy moments in the day.
When you feel the guilt or the shame or the lack of self-worth,
Whatever it is that makes you have those thoughts that feel bad about yourself.
Instantly stop yourself.
Replace them with I am doing the best that I can.
Love yourself just as much as you love your children.
You owe that much to yourself.
I'm doing the best that I can.
Just keep saying that to yourself whenever you have one of those crazy moments in the day.
I'm doing the best that I can.
Just keep saying that to yourself whenever you have one of those crazy moments in the day.
I'm doing the best that I can.
Just keep saying that to yourself whenever you have one of those crazy moments in the day.
I'm doing the best that I can.
Just keep saying that to yourself whenever you have one of those crazy moments in the day.

This was simply amazing. Iโm coming up on a year of loosing my baby boy and that was the first time Iโve felt at such peace. I know he was with me I could feel him. Thank you, Iโll forever cherish that moment and will definitely listen to this a lot more. ๐๐ผโจโฅ๏ธ

Cory, This meditation is so good for me today! I was so emotional during it. I cannot believe how I have misjudged a situation! I am usually quite good at seeing the best in everyone. No harm done to anyone except myself. I am so annoyed with myself! Will need to do this meditation on a regular basis till my guilt goes from my solar plexus. Thank you. ๐ฅ๐๐๐

Thank you. Lovely music, tempo, and voice. Would also like one that focuses on general guilt (outside of parent-guilt). Again, thank you.
