Before you enter your sacred space—your home, your body, or your inner world pause. In this guided meditation, you’ll imagine (or physically enact) walking up to your front door with a plant waiting for you. This plant lovingly “eats” whatever you’ve been carrying—worries, stress, emotional weight—symbolized as objects in your pockets. One by one, you place them at the roots of the plant and let them go. This practice can be done mentally or physically, anytime during the day, as a psychological and somatic reset. It helps calm the nervous system, release mental clutter, and create a clear boundary between the outer world and your inner peace. Use this meditation to feel lighter, more grounded, and more present—before you step inside.

Make sure that you're sat in a nice comfortable position,

Something that feels good for you.

Close down your eyes and give yourself a little bit of magical juju,

A little bit of thanks.

How amazing you are that you're here and you're putting time into your meditation practice.

Because after all,

It's going to pay back in reaps and rewards when you start to feel more and more good every day,

Right?

So,

Bless your little meditation bum for being here,

Sitting comfortable on its seat.

Whether it's on the ground or a pillow or your sofa,

Or whether you're still laid in bed,

Make sure that you're comfortable.

Close down your eyes and start to pull your attention inside.

And as you pull your attention inside,

Kind of do a general sweep through your body,

Feeling how your overall body feels this morning.

Your muscles,

Your bones,

Your emotional state,

Maybe you're a little bit tired and heavy.

Or maybe you have lots of energy.

Either way,

Just feel where you're at.

Even though it's morning time,

Let's do a practice that we can do at any time of the day,

Including before bed.

When you want to relax,

Just step away from the chaos of the world.

Taking a couple of deep breaths together first,

Breathe in through your nose,

A nice big deep breath all the way down through your body.

And then breathe out,

Soften your muscles,

Soften your shoulders,

Your face,

Try and relax everything as you exhale.

Breathe in once again,

A nice big,

Deep inhale.

And then an exhale,

Soften,

Relax,

Release.

In your mind,

Imagine that you're standing outside of your house.

And there's a beautiful tree somewhere close by next to your front door.

Imagine that this tree has lived there quite a while.

It's big,

Sturdy,

And it's just a couple of steps away from your front door.

So in your mind,

See your front door from memory.

Start to feel or put yourself in the motion of just walking up to it,

Like you do many times,

I'm sure.

You can see the color of your door,

The texture.

Notice your little windows or the panels,

Whatever your front door looks like.

Make it clear in your mind.

Look around your door,

Look down at your feet,

Notice your welcome mat or whatever it is that you normally stand on by the front door.

Just put yourself there energetically in your mind,

Like this is part of the exercise.

It's very easy to put yourself in front of your front door because you see it so many times.

It's there in your subconscious,

Very easy image to pull forward.

And then with a little bit of magic,

Imagine that tree next to the front door close by somewhere.

Maybe it's a potted plant or maybe it's a deep rooted garden tree.

But the tree is necessary.

It's going to be very special.

It doesn't matter whether you're actually physically walking up to your front door after the end of a long day at work.

Or whether you're doing this exercise in your mind,

Going through the motions as if you're walking up to your front door.

Either way,

The outcome will be the same.

I'd like you to imagine that you're taking out all of your problems from your pockets.

Any issues that you've had at work,

Any issues that you're worrying about generally.

Imagine that you're pulling them out like coins,

Little things that you would have in your pocket.

Like a chapstick,

Whatever it is.

Imagine that you're throwing them in the base of your plant.

Thank you,

Thank you plant.

Like you're feeding the plant.

Not your negativity,

But you're just allowing the plant to keep them as a resting place.

So that you don't take them into the heart of who you are,

Which is your home.

Unload.

If anything happened at work,

Imagine that you're taking it out in some random object form.

And you're just putting it in the plant.

It's not allowed to go into your home.

Your home,

Once you go past the threshold,

Is a sacred place.

Metaphorically,

Your home represents you.

So what you're doing is an exercise that is saying,

Okay,

It's time to let go of all the crap that I've been carrying around.

It's time to let go of all the worries.

It's time to let go of all the stresses.

You're not bringing them into your space.

So if you were doing this at night time before bed,

You would imagine with your eyes closed that you're standing at your front door.

And you're putting all of that stuff into your little keepsake plant that can completely handle it.

In fact,

In your mind,

You can imagine that your plant shifts the formula of all of that stuff and uses it for nutrition.

The plant feeds and grows.

So if you were doing this at night time,

You'd imagine in your mind that you were,

Okay,

This is my home time.

This is my sacred time.

This is my special space.

No problems are allowed.

No worries are allowed.

No nagging thoughts are allowed.

Imagine in your mind you're going through the process of putting them all in your little hack man plant.

So that you can be open and free and light in your sacred space,

Your home inside.

Imagine this exercise when you're at work.

If you're having something going on that's not pleasant,

Take yourself to the bathroom.

You can see your front door in your mind.

And there's your beautiful plant.

And you're going to just unload your pockets.

Your irritation.

Your frustration.

Whatever it is that you're feeling at work,

Imagine in your mind that you're putting it out of your pockets into your saving plant,

Your special friend.

And then you can go back to work feeling like you're not carrying all of that and being a more calm,

Balanced state of being.

Imagine this exercise like now,

First thing in the morning.

Where you want to start your day in a positive way.

Maybe you had bad dreams.

Maybe you also feel anxious or uneasy about what you have to do today.

You just simply close your eyes.

See your front door right there.

The entrance into you.

Your inner home.

Your sanctuary.

And if you want to start your day off on the right foot,

Imagine emptying your pockets.

Okay,

Let go of that bad dream.

Let go of this heaviness in my body.

Let go of all of it.

Put it into your plant.

Take some nice,

Deep,

Cleansing breaths.

And then imagine that you're starting your day.

A simple exercise that you can do at many different times of day.

That can just allow you to let go of emotions or feelings.

Tightness in your body.

Tension in your body.

Anything that you don't want.

Metaphorically see yourself unloading it from your pockets and putting it into your plant.

That will transform and eat and nourish itself from those things.

Feel like you're doing that right now with whatever is going on in your life.

Make it present moment.

See your front door there in your mind.

See your tree or your plant.

And start to unload your pockets.

Check your back pockets.

Check your little pocket on your shirt.

Every pocket.

Make sure that it's empty.

You're going to also thank your plant for receiving that which you do not need.

Let's count to three and then you can open your eyes and come back into this moment.

One.

Two.

Three.

It's a meditation that's very useful.

It's also a psychology,

A little therapy tip mixed in there with it.

Let go of your stuff before you bring it into your sacred space.

Honor your body.

Honor your mind.

Honor your emotions.

And give yourself this little exercise that you can do any time of day to bring yourself back into a neutral,

Balanced,

Happier state of being.

Give yourself that gift with a simple,

Simple exercise.

Namaste,

My friends.
