My name is Kori.

During this meditation,

I would like to help you to get to a point where you can let go of any past trauma that happened in a specific event at a specific time in your memory.

Please know that the meditation I'm going to do with you is going to keep you safe.

At no time will you ever feel like you're in danger.

At no time will you ever feel alone or stuck or trapped in the situation.

I'm going to be with you at all times and I've made the meditation so that you will be safe.

All that being said,

Please lay down in a comfortable position.

Make sure that you can let your body completely relax.

So a seated position might not be the best for this meditation.

I want you to really be able to feel completely supported throughout your entire body.

So lay down.

Make sure that everything feels right in your body.

Pull your shoulders down away from your neck and please close your eyes.

Know that you're currently in a place in this moment in time where you're very safe.

You're secure.

You're safe.

All is well.

Your space is safe and therefore it's okay to start to allow your body to relax.

At first just follow your breath and your breathing.

Become aware of the speed of your breath,

The depth of your breath.

Just feel into what it feels like as you breathe in and breathe out.

This will start to naturally relax your body.

Pulling all of your focus and attention onto your breath naturally starts to make your thoughts be more compressed into one focused point.

Slowing everything else down.

All the busy noise and chatter that normally goes on inside of your mind right now is pushed away as you just think about nothing else other than your breath.

Notice if your tummy,

Your abdomen rises and falls with your breath.

Slow your breathing down,

Being more controlled into a rhythm of longer,

Slower,

Deeper breaths.

Everything is good.

Your body is feeling comfortable and warm and safe.

Relaxing the muscles across your chest.

Let go of any tension around your shoulders.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Think about breathing in the sensation,

The energy of relaxation.

Imagine you're accepting it and pulling it into your being.

Breathing in that nice relaxation.

Imagine as you breathe out,

Releasing any worries or stresses.

Everything is good.

You're safe.

Just breathe it out and let it go.

Breathing in your lower back deeper into the bed or the couch or the floor,

Wherever you're laying.

Soften your hips.

Let your legs get really heavy.

Breathe that relaxation all the way down to your toes.

Breathing into your face and your head.

Breathing deep down into the tips of your fingers.

Just let your whole body surrender into the bed.

It's warm and soft and comfortable underneath your body.

And then in your mind,

I'd like you to imagine.

Just imagine.

You're gently and slowly opening your eyes.

And as you do so,

You notice the ceiling above you looks different to your real life ceiling.

In real life,

You're laid down in your safe space with your eyes closed.

But in your mind,

I want you to imagine that you're slowly opening your eyes and you're looking at a ceiling that's white and clean.

You start to look around the room slowly as you lay in there on your bed.

I want you to know that this is a safe room.

It's literally a safe room.

It's very simple.

There's a set of drawers over there straight in front of you on the back wall.

There's a window over to the right that's a big window.

You can see the sky.

It's bright blue and there's some white clouds in the sky as you look out through the window still laying on your bed.

You look to your right even more and you see a small side table with a lamp next to the bed.

You look over,

All the way over to your left and there's a rocking chair in the left hand corner of the room with a big soft pillow and a very cute stuffed teddy bear that looks like a bunny rabbit with big fluffy ears.

The room feels nice.

The temperature's perfect.

It's warm but not too warm.

You can smell something like vanilla,

Some kind of flour and then when you look around the room again you notice that the bedside table on your right with a lamp also has a white candle and you presume that the smell is coming from the candle.

It makes the room feel gentle,

Lived in.

The sun is so nice shining through the window.

The walls are white.

It's quite plain but it feels homely and it feels very safe.

The window is a very special window.

You can see the sky and it's obvious that it's a sunny day out there but the window is like the sight into your past.

Let me explain.

When you stand in front of the window you see events from your past as if they're happening outside as if you're looking at a movie screen or a glimpse of your past as if it was happening outside right now in this moment.

But what's nice is the glass in the safe room keeps you completely separated from wherever your memory wants to take you.

You're safe in this room.

This is your safe room.

But yet from this room today you're going to have the opportunity to change your past.

To re-script one of those painful memories.

Whatever it is that wants to come forward today and know that you can use this room,

This window many many times.

But today in just a few moments we're going to walk over to the window and stare out and as you stare out into the window you'll notice that you're watching a memory from your past.

So many of us have those memories that cause wounds,

Traumas from our childhood,

Maybe events from our teenage years,

Maybe it's something that happened last week.

Know that you're safe,

You're protected and most importantly you're separated from that event because you're here in this safe room.

I'm going to count to three.

On one you'll start to get up and move off the bed.

When I say two in just a few moments you'll walk towards the window.

And when I say three you'll open your eyes and look out of the window and find yourself back in your past.

Watching an event that has caused you dis-ease or discomfort or stress in your everyday reality.

One,

Two,

Three.

Open your eyes,

Look out through the window.

Just allow the memories to come forward.

What's happening right now outside.

You see yourself at that age,

That time.

You see the space that you're in.

Recreating all the details in your mind.

So the difference here is this is something that you're watching before the trauma actually happened.

You're not in the trauma,

This is just before the trauma,

The event actually happened.

You're watching the build up to something that's caused you pain.

Again you're safe,

You're in control,

You're strong and you can do this.

You are so strong,

You can do this.

I'm going to ask you a very important question.

I want your mind and your heart to think about it.

If you could change the event that's about to happen that's caused you so much pain,

What would you do differently?

How would you change it?

What could you do that would make it never take place?

Play with those ideas that's come into your mind.

Maybe there's just one and it's very clear what you need to do.

Maybe there's two or three different alternative ideas that you're struggling with and you're not quite sure which one to do.

Take a nice big deep breath and ground yourself back into steadiness.

You know what to do.

Say to yourself I know what to do.

I know what needs to be done.

Start to see and visualize as you look out of the window you changing your history.

Maybe you're walking away.

Maybe you're defending yourself physically.

Maybe you say the perfect thing to say that completely changes the event.

You're strong you can do this.

Taking back my power.

I'm reclaiming my power.

Say it over and over again in your mind.

I am powerful.

Say it as many times as you need it.

You're changing your history.

You can do this.

Trust me this will work.

Start to watch through the window how what you just did has changed everything.

Maybe it's changed their reactions,

Their actions.

Maybe it's changed the weather,

The day,

The time.

Maybe you just never went there.

Whatever you want,

Whatever your heart is telling you to do.

Watch what happens that shows that history has changed in your mind right now in this moment.

Notice your feet.

Notice how grounded,

How rooted your feet feel as you stand and stare out of the window.

Notice your posture.

Open your spine,

Pull your shoulders back,

Lift up your chin as if you're ready for the world.

You've taken back your power.

You've completely let go of the energy that you were holding on to that was connected to that event.

You're free of it.

Tell yourself,

I am free of that energy.

I no longer need to carry that memory.

That memory no longer serves a purpose.

I am free of that memory.

I am free of that energy.

The way that I see things is my truth.

I own my truth.

This is my truth.

My creation,

My re-scripting is more powerful than my past.

This is what I choose to see from now on.

I choose this.

This is my new memory.

This is my new memory.

I am powerful.

I am powerful.

I want you to stare up at the sky,

The clouds,

The bright blue sky.

Take a big deep breath all the way down to the base of your abdomen and breathe out with a powerful sigh.

Release any residue,

Any final energy that you might be holding on to.

Just breathe out with a sigh once again.

A nice big deep breath in.

Really fill your cavities,

Fill everything with it.

Breathe down to your toes and then biggest sigh,

The biggest release as you breathe out.

Let it go.

I let this go.

I'd like you to allow yourself to either inwardly or outwardly smile as you say and so it is.

And so it is.

I'm going to count to three and when I click my fingers you can open your eyes and find yourself back in your present day reality feeling good,

Feeling very good,

Feeling free,

Feeling lighter.

Knowing that you can come back to this room and get rid of every single painful event from your past because you have the power to do that.

One,

Two,

Three.

Open your eyes,

Back in your room.

Namaste my friend.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.
