Lie down so that you can allow your body to relax for this meditation.

During these current times it's important to allow the mind as well as the body to flow.

Resistance is part of our natural nature.

Universal law works in a way where we attract that we resist.

All around it's much easier for us if we can learn to go with the flow.

Use this meditation to allow your mind to surrender into going with the flow.

Close your eyes if you haven't done so already.

Imagine you're closing out the outside world.

You're going home on a journey in your mind.

Let go of any tension in your body by mindfully releasing the tension when you breathe out.

When you exhale let your body sink deeper into the surface that you're laying on.

Imagine that there's an actual fall,

A release,

A feeling of letting go every time you breathe out.

Breathe in,

Relaxation.

Breathe out,

Tension.

Breathe in,

Relaxation.

Breathe out,

And let go of tension.

With your mind just sweep through your body.

Do a scan of your feet.

Draw and pull your attention down to your feet and check them.

Assess if they feel tense or uncomfortable.

Adjust the position of your feet so that they can relax fully out to the sides.

Do the same with your legs.

Feel your lower leg,

The knees,

The thighs.

Mindfully release and let the muscles in your legs drop and get heavy when you breathe out.

Imagine the lower back.

Relax your hips.

Imagine the ribs sinking deeper into the ground when you exhale.

Let your shoulders fall down and back.

Keep your arms still and completely relaxed.

And finally,

Let your head get very,

Very heavy.

Just let go.

With your whole body,

Allow a feeling and sensation of letting go.

Feeling deeper into the ground,

Deeper into your bed.

Open the muscles in your face and allow your eyes to roll up and back as if they're staring into the space in the middle of your forehead.

There in that space,

Use your imagination and start to see that there's a rowing boat.

You're standing on the side of the river.

When you look down your barefoot,

You can feel the earth underneath your feet.

Notice if it feels cool or warm.

When you mindfully walk towards the rowing boat,

It's only a couple of steps away.

The river and the water is quite gentle and smooth.

It gently laps against the boat,

Making a very relaxing noise.

You climb in the boat and notice that there's soft pillows as if it's made for you to just lay down.

You have a choice of lying or sitting.

Get in the boat and it starts to automatically just move away from the bank into the center of the river.

It's gently moving down with the current of the water.

You look up at the sky.

It's blue.

There's perfect white clouds in the sky.

The sun is not too bright.

There's a gentle breeze blowing through your hair,

Cooling your face and your body.

You don't question the experience at all.

There's a feeling inside of you knowing that this is a journey that you have to take.

There's no resistance.

You just feel comfortable and safe.

The boat is smooth and quite slow on the river.

All is well.

All is calm.

This feels nice.

It feels relaxing.

You feel safe,

Comfortable.

Like when all is going well in your world,

In your reality.

Life is good.

It's calm,

Comfortable.

But then like life,

Things change.

Things don't always go to plan.

The boat starts to move a little bit faster.

Rather than lying back and relaxing,

You feel like you should sit and watch.

Your body and your mind is on guard,

A little bit more alert.

There's more adrenaline just a little bit running through your body.

Not feeling as safe,

You start to feel a little bit uncertain.

You watch as the waters move faster underneath the boat.

You start to feel a sense of not knowing what's going to happen.

Even though you still trust that you will be okay,

It feels like a little bit more urgency to take control of the boat somehow.

You look for the oars on the boat,

But there isn't any.

Then you take a breath,

A deep breath and say,

Okay,

Just trust.

Just trust.

You feel the relaxation in your shoulders.

The release of tension in your stomach when you breathe out.

All the muscles in your body soften once again.

You look ahead and the river seems to split into two.

One direction looks very picturesque.

There's trees and beautiful mountains and just looks really nice.

The other side looks more choppy and rocky.

It looks like there's more rocks in the water.

More of a uncomfortable journey.

Of course,

You naturally want to go to the left where it's picturesque and comfortable.

The boat has its own journey.

You just know you're going to go right.

Again,

Your body gets tense.

The grip on your hands on the boat starts to get tighter.

Your jaw tenses.

You feel out of control,

Uncertain,

Not safe once again.

You start going down the rocky side of the river.

The waters are a little bit crazy.

It feels dangerous,

Unpredictable.

The overwhelming feeling of not knowing what's going to happen next takes over your whole body.

Your breath gets shorter and shallower.

You can feel the adrenaline running through your veins very,

Very quick.

Then you remember to trust.

Just trust.

You take a big deep breath.

Just trust,

You say to yourself.

You take another big deep breath.

Just trust,

Just trust.

You repeat the words over and over in your mind.

Just go with the flow.

Everything's going to be okay.

Just go with the flow.

You can feel the tension leaving your body as if it's dripping off the end of your fingertips.

Your jaw softens.

Your brow relaxes.

All the pain and the tension and discomfort in your tummy softens as you breathe out and let go.

Just trust,

Just trust.

Control what you can and flow with what you can't.

You take another big deep breath.

Control what you can and just let go and flow with what you can't.

Just breathe,

Trust,

Trust.

The more you repeat the inner mantras,

The more your body believes you.

The adrenaline goes away.

Your breath slows down.

Your heartbeat calms down.

Your body's listening to your mind.

It's listening to your internal thoughts.

Take back control.

Take back full control of your mind and go with the flow.

Relax.

Trust.

The waters automatically get smoother.

This journey is breathtaking all of a sudden.

You can see the green of the trees more clearly.

The sun shining down reflecting on the water.

All of a sudden you see the good stuff around you.

You smell the fresh air.

You feel the sun on your skin.

Because your body is calm and your mind is calm.

You're in control.

You feel more stable and grounded and peaceful.

Once again you feel more safe.

You trust.

You trust in yourself.

You trust in the bigger picture.

You can stay on this river,

Lie down and relax for as long as you need to.

Check on your body.

Take control of your thoughts and go with the flow.

Namaste,

My friend.

You can see the green of the trees more clearly.

The sun shining down reflecting on the water.

You can see the good stuff around you.

You feel more stable and grounded and peaceful.

You can stay on this river,

Lie down and relax for as long as you need to.

You can stay on this river,

Lie down and relax for as long as you need to.

You can see the green of the trees more clearly.

The sun shining down reflecting on the water.

You can stay on this river,

Lie down and relax for as long as you need to.

You can stay on this river,

Lie down and relax for as long as you need to.

You can stay on this river,

Lie down and relax for as long as you need to.
